Moved to Central Florida recently after retiring from the federal government. Working on my own business now. I grew up Catholic and attended Church but I was never a true believer, i always had doubts about the bible stories. About 8 yrs ago I became an atheist when a friend of mine suddenly became a born again Christian and turned into an incredibly arrogant individual. He believed in his new found moral superiority and started to quote bible verses to me. This is a person I knew very well didn't like to read and had no education to speak off after school. Obviously another phony taking advantage of religion and I saw right through his facade. At that point I knew I had to be honest to myself and to my family and let everyone know how i felt
