Is there anyone here who isn't "into weed?"
Zster comments on Jun 7, 2018:
I'm not, at all. The stuff gives me the pukes, so, no thanks. I also find that when people around me get high, they also get very boring. I don't care if others want to do it, I'd just rather be active and alert.
Do you REALLY look like the pictures you put up in social media?
Zster comments on Jun 5, 2018:
Mine are all under a year old. Some caught me with my hair fluffed with (natural) curls, and others caught me straight haired, smoothed back. They all look like the real me, just in different humidity conditions.
FIFA World Cup Is the interest in this confined to this side of the Atlantic?
Zster comments on Jun 5, 2018:
I am in the US and quite interested! Someone should start a group for us (hint! I have too many already).
Making a medieval costume...
Zster comments on Jun 5, 2018:
I would love to see it! I just pieced one together from several sources. My work and kid rearing schedule has not allowed me time to sew one, yet.
First time I heard this I thought Led Zeppelin had made a brand new record. Lmao [youtu.be]
Zster comments on Jun 4, 2018:
I've been following this gor awhile now. The singer's "Plant-ism" is uncanny!
The World Cup.
Zster comments on Jun 4, 2018:
I wonder if we have enough fans for a World Cup '18 group?
So, what motivates you to check out another member’s profile?
Zster comments on Jun 3, 2018:
Almost always in response to something I read by them, whether a post or a comment, good or not so good, to shed further light on the personality behind what was said. Sometimes a post or comment strikes me as humorous or insightful, making me curious. Other times, an apparent negative post/comment will send me to the profile to see if this is an isolated negative or just part of where the person typically comes from.
Are you a day person or a night person
Zster comments on Jun 3, 2018:
Night owl... my entire family is. It sucks that my boss demands 8-5 working hours as the nature of the work does not demand it. My most productive hours are after 3PM. Earlier requires caffeine.
I like this guys writings on loss.
Zster comments on Jun 3, 2018:
That pretty well sums it up.
Deal breaking action
Zster comments on Jun 3, 2018:
Meanness or rudeness toward people, animals, or the environment. Addiction (I've walked that toad and do not care to ever do do again, even remotely). Talking down to me won't fly either...
Would you contact a person with this bio?
Zster comments on Jun 3, 2018:
There's only one certainty in life, change. This person had better hope more compassionate sorts are around if/when the bottom falls out. Sounds braggy, judgemental, and mean, but that might be the goal.
This is a good one. Mine is my percolator.
Zster comments on Jun 2, 2018:
My centrifugal juicer!
Two part question: Do you remember your very first kiss? Are you still in touch with this person?
Zster comments on Jun 2, 2018:
Yes, I distinctly remember. I do not keep in touch as that was 48 years ago! I managed to run into him once at my mom's class reunion (I was late teens, maybe). We still got along real well and might have had spark, given a chance.
Is your significant other "Too Flirty"?
Zster comments on Jun 2, 2018:
No SO for me now, but my late husband was my husband largely because he was loyal, as was I. Regarding your situation, I would let her know you are not intetested, citing that you like and respect her SO. If she is in a position of power over you, work wise, she is breaking the las (if in the US). I have a young friend at work who I have no romantic draw to, who recently married and now flirts inappropriately with me. So, in a way, I feel your pain. He has not backed off despite my direct insistence that he do so. It's probably going to cost us the friendship since he wont. Friends don't deliberately make other friends uncomfortable.
It's a nice super hot Saturday here in Central Texas and I'm using this opportunity to chill and ...
Zster comments on Jun 2, 2018:
Disc golf sounds pretty good. We have a nice 24 holes near here. Sadly, I have to get up real early to beat the heat. (I am not a morning person).
I was married for 23 years.
Zster comments on Jun 2, 2018:
Google "rules online dating". I just did and pulled up lists that varied tremendously, even to the point of stating the opposite. It's not much like f2f dating at all. Also, since it comes up a ton around here, do yourself a favor and DON'T expect replies to every message. Many people opt for a silent show of disinterest, rather than receiving a verbal tirade to their polite "no thank", which, sadly, happens a lot online.
I found a friendly snake just chilling in my yard.

When we all fill out our profile, and the question, married, divorced, single, you know what I mean.
Zster comments on Jun 1, 2018:
When I was newly widowed, I checked "rather not say" as I was nervous being alone with small children and did not care to advertise such vulnerability on the internet.
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that as TSA lines have gotten longer and airline seats ...
Zster comments on Jun 1, 2018:
The airlines sure have reduced the quality of the flight experience, making seats too small and too close, charging extra for every tiny thing, etc... It's s powder keg up there!
Coffee Large or Small
Zster comments on Jun 1, 2018:
Small. I get very ill effects from too much caffeine. I don't mind my coffee iced though. DID you make those mugs? They are super awesome!
Here is a question for the ladies on this site.
Zster comments on Jun 1, 2018:
Inquisitiveness, humor, intelligence... The most intriguing will ask me a question based on a post or my comments to a post, OR make a comment that we share a common opinion, point of view, or experience. I greatly enjoy the back and forth with lots of questions and answers volleyed.
Do you always wear deodorant or only when going out in public?
Zster comments on Jun 1, 2018:
I always wear it so that I don't have to smell me. (:
Are you nice to your Exxes?
Zster comments on Jun 1, 2018:
I was only married once and that was ended by cancer. Outside of that, I have had a few close nonmarital relationships. We made clean breaks in each and went no contact from that point forward, allowing each the chance to possibly connect with someone new. One such "ex" lives near me. When we run into each other, we treat each other with fondness, but let it go at that.
I have a question for those who identify and female and are on dating sites.
Zster comments on Jun 1, 2018:
It's not just women doing do. Every person I've chat with here quit without preamble. It's the way of the net, I guess. If I've been chatting and suddenly stop, 99% of the time, it means my real life has gotten chaotic and busy, making online time a luxury that I cannot afford. Once things settle, I typically check back in. Often, I've TOLD the person before hand that I have travel or plans coming up and might be out of touch, but they often seem to forget.
Who knew Middle Eastern food tasted so good?
Zster comments on Jun 1, 2018:
You should try some taboule salad, with fresh cucumber, lemon, and parsley... It's fabulous on a hit summer day! I recommend Near East's boxed wheat and recipe for it. They include very nice seasonings, where other brands (in the SE US anyway) taste bland.
Empty nest
Zster comments on Jun 1, 2018:
You might want to come over to the Empty Nester group. There are several of us here.
What song was 1 on your 14th birthday?

Was just sitting outside watching a good lightning show.
Zster comments on May 31, 2018:
I absolutely love it! I have very fond memories of sitting on my great grandma's west facing front porch swing at sunset, watching the distant clouds light up.
Are there any hunters or fishermen or fisher women in the group?
Zster comments on May 31, 2018:
I LOVE to fish, for anything that's biting. Large mouth bass are a fave and ocean fishing is fun because one never knows what might show interest. I've not been in s long time, but am thinking sbout righing a kayak for the local lakes.
I just made Level 7. Now I am up there with the big boys and girls.
Zster comments on May 30, 2018:
I was a teen when I hit level 7. Now I'm counting the weeks to retirement! Welcome to the level that just might be for the rest of your life! (;
I am twice divorced and have lived alone now for 16 years.
Zster comments on May 29, 2018:
I am at twelve years of singlehood and wonder if I am getting too used to doing life my own way, without running things past anyone first. It might be a pretty huge adjustment to try to meld lives again. I am beginning to see how some older folks live in separate houses and never marry, but do life together none the less. It used to sound crazy to me, but now... not so much.
A rare moment... Basil is not trying to shtup Mr. Turtle. Awwww!

Achoo! Achoo! Aaaaachhhoo!!!
Zster comments on May 28, 2018:
Hashopper! My great grandmother said it. It might be her very own word as I've not seen or heard it anywhere and it's an example of onomatopoeia, if you think about it.
Why would Christians join this site?
Zster comments on May 28, 2018:
Many I've envountered (not just THIS non-believer site) have been out to convert. A few have been questioning their own faith, and occasionally, I've run into one or two who want to know what drives us away from faith/church/religion with hope of fixing their own faith/church/religion.
I just brewed a carafe of water.
Zster comments on May 28, 2018:
Sounds like my typical Monday!
Do you shop on holidays?
Zster comments on May 28, 2018:
I try to avoid going out on the holidays as the free time off (do not have to burn my vacation days) is to be treasued with family. That said, if something breaks and happens to need replaced on a holiday, I can be tempted into taking advantage of the sales. Such was the case yesterday.
Binge watching "Kolchak, the night stalker" this weekend.
Zster comments on May 28, 2018:
That was my brother's and my fave show when it aired on TV. The stories were good and the casting/acting did the writing justice.
What are your Memorial Day plans?
Zster comments on May 28, 2018:
After weeks of wrapping up the school year with my kids, my plan for today was to have a plan-free day. So far, so good!
Dating Experiences on Agnostic.com Poll
Zster comments on May 28, 2018:
I am on Ag**.com for community and a much needed break from religiosity. If I make a good friend or two, GREAT! If I met someone who I click with romantically, even better. If I just hang out chatting about stuff with the group as a whole, it's ok. That sure beats the other sites that I visit.

Zster comments on May 28, 2018:
The other way around? As in a coffe and a CUP of cigarettes? (;
Do you split the bill when you go on a date?
Zster comments on May 28, 2018:
Who asks should expect to pay, though, if the invitee prefers dutch, that is fine... Once dating regularly, dutch, taking turns, or the one with enough income pays, whichever approach works. I like dutch or turns if I really enjoy his company as we can get twice the number of dates that way! (: I might add. I have had the guy absolutely insist on paying, despite my being able to, only to have him resent it later, or hold it over my head, or demand access to my body (usually a first or second date) because he paid for my dinner. That might explain why some other ladies feel strongly about paying their fair share (or not).
What do you usually listen to in the car?

Messaging people to tell them you checked out their profile: creepy or good etiquette?
Zster comments on May 27, 2018:

Does anyone here use essential oils?
Zster comments on May 27, 2018:
Rose, Rose Geranium, and Black Current most of the year. For the year end holiday season, I get out the bayberry, fir, spruce, pine, etc... I mostly use them in catalytic lamps or paraffin warmers.

Zster comments on May 27, 2018:
I lived at my parents' place summers from age 18-20. At 21, I got my own place permanently.

Who else loves Star Trek and the Atheist message it promoted?
Zster comments on May 25, 2018:

What would be an appropriate gift when meeting a woman for the first time?
Zster comments on May 25, 2018:
Call me weird (many do), but a gift at first meeting would make me very uncomfortable.

As a Canadian I have always wondered why Americans seem to all fly American flags outside of their ...
Zster comments on May 23, 2018:
It's a subset of the US population that is flag rabid. In my area, largely lower income, rural, right voting folks are the most likely to do so. My public elementary school, circa 1972, taught us to practically worship the US flag. We greatly feared becoming THAT kid who let the flag get wet or touch the ground as there would have been a very public flag burning ceremony as a result. Oddly, my modern age flag crazy neighbors show the flag minimal respect at best, flying it at night, in the rain, flying it bleached and tattered, but they get to point their fingers at others for not respecting it properly. Go figure. Don't even get me started on flying the confederate flag. I see about one of those for every 2-3 US flags.
Is there a visual arts discussion group here ... if no? Would anybody be interested?

Marshmallows
Zster comments on May 20, 2018:
2!!! If you roast Jet Puft brand marshmallows that way, they puff up HUGE and fluffy/gooey. Try it sometime, vs some store brand. Big difference.
A simple question
Zster comments on May 20, 2018:
I've sent several messages and seldom get replies back. I mostly contact people based on one of their posts or replies intriguing me, seeking interesting conversation. I understand that many using online access for screening dating prospects do so mostly based on photos that they find attractive. Attempts at casual (nonromantic or nonsexual?) conversations are therefore a waste of time for them. I don't take it personally.

So where stand on the subject of tickling?
Zster comments on May 20, 2018:
I am fine with it as long as it stops when one asks for it to stop. My dad was a terrific tickle monster! He always stopped when we asked, but would resume if/when we'd ask for more, which more often than not, we did. OTOH, my husband hated tickling. It was either too intense or he had received it beyond his consent as a child, learning to hate it. I therefore never tickled him.
If a woman wants an abortion should the father have a right to keep the child?
Zster comments on May 20, 2018:
The father can have the child as long as he can provide for it's gestation. No woman should be forced to gestate. It's not completely far fetched to think that medical science might yet find a way to transplant an embryo between a donor and a surrogate, or that gestation chambers other than a uterus might yet be invented. I do agree that the laws need revisited regarding who chooses to continue a pregnancy vs who does not and the legal (financial) rights stemming from that stand if properly documented.
How many of you atheist are pro-life? Just curious
Zster comments on May 20, 2018:
Trick question as the opposite of "prolife" could be anti-life, which I am NOT. I abhor abortion as much as I do neglecting unwanted children, that fact any child could be unwanted (why not prevent pregancy? we have the means), or of inviting strangers into such a private situation and decision as an unplanned pregnancy.
Weirdos Are Cool.
Zster comments on May 20, 2018:

Question for all of you up around my age range If you've been divorced at least once would you ...
Zster comments on May 20, 2018:
Not sure. I've raised my kids already. Homophobes and divorce lawyers have made a complete mockery of marriage. So, no... I am not sure why I would ever do that again. That said, is there any OTHER legal way to make it known who is allowed to visit when one is hospitalized?
How do people feel about people who are childless?
Zster comments on May 20, 2018:
Fine. The world already has enough mouths to feed. I just hope that most chose childessness. To deeply want kids but be unable to can be heartbreaking.
Is there a more romantic movie than "You've Got Mail"?
Zster comments on May 20, 2018:
One of my favorite lines is from that movie! "I wanted it to be you; I wanted it to be you so badly." Other fave romances w/ or w/o comedy: "Kate and Leopold", "Lady Hawke", "The Truth AboutCats and Dogs", "Sleeper", "Baby Boom"... to name a few.
Are there people here, on THIS site, who are offended by certain words in the language?

Would you kiss again the last person you kissed?
Zster comments on May 20, 2018:
Nonromantic kisses? Sure, furbabies, European colleagues, family... Romantic? No. Broke up for good reason. I will not risk the post break up stalking resuming, ever.
I live in a small city.
Zster comments on May 20, 2018:
You live in an urban area and complain about chimes, yet, loud music, noisy cars, barking dogs etc get a pass? If you treasure silence, how can you stand hearing ANYthing that is not by your own choice? I would seriously recommend a move to the country.

Ladies, how were you proposed to ? Was it what you expected ?
Zster comments on May 19, 2018:
Nope. It was so low key, I nearly missed it! We needed to be celebrating something in order to get free champagne at the restaurant where we both worked. He suggested telling them we had just gotten engaged. He MEANT it! Both the champagne AND the marriage were fantastic! (;
Do you workout better in a fitness class or one on one with a fitness trainer?

Looking for a decent laptop for my daughter, she likes to draw has a graphics tablet.
Zster comments on May 19, 2018:
My daughter (a college junior in Art) preferred a Surface computer to the Wacom tablet that she learned on. We were able to locate an older model, refirbished, for around $250 (USD).
A number of us have indicated that we work out, how we do so, what we do..... Why?
Zster comments on May 19, 2018:
My initial reason was that I want to keep my back painfree without a visit to a surgeon. (Physical therapy stopped the nerveroot impingement by two bulging discs). Now I also do it to keep cholesterol in check and to hopefully delay or even prevent type 2 diabetes. The combination just cut my dad's life short. I want as many good years as I can get!

Zster comments on May 17, 2018:
No.
Eurovision 2018 was fantastic.
Zster comments on May 17, 2018:
I agree! The mix was quite entertaining this year. I'd grown tired of the near constant line up of ballads that had been dominating in years past.
