I have done it for several elections now (i vote absentee as it is a Looong day). There are Never enough volunteers, one year I put 423 miles on my car in the one day monitoring 8 spread-out places, ( just drove from one to another in a big circle with the magnetic sign on my car, checking in with local poll monitors in permanent places). Last election I only put on 231 miles....same # of places to monitor but differrnt part of the state, closer together. Then we go back and pick up the signs we put out after polling closes. For one recent example, i am almost at the Clearcoat stage on my car repair, (doing it in my open driveway so hopefully the weatherperson is right about Tues/Wed) Got the best perfect match areosol car paint kit, (Primer, proper Color and Clearcoat) for my car, < $70 for all 3 large spray cans. Nowhere here would I have found anything but those little touch-up brush thingies, would have maybe needed 1000 of them, and the job would have been Awful looking. And the one bodyshop that would put the proper model/year color in a spray can for me wanted over $120 just for 1 can of tthe proper color. Found the company online! (Family owned for 45 years)
