If they would look at some common sense issues like better filters for our water and cleaning up the damage being done to the oceans by fertilizer runoff and teaching people to repurpose normally discarded materials would go much further with slowing down the effects of the damage being done. To just start making smart cars and pushing green energy seem to be very irresponsible.

I know to stay away from things like blowfish because they have that tetrodotoxin which is very poisonous.

@Cutiebeauty The liberal celebrities were encouraging other liberals to actively cause problems for the returning GIs. I am very sure everyone was dissatisfied with the situation families were losing sons regardless of their political standing. The main source of violence against returning GIs was negative propaganda from the activist. Those men were there doing their job and a lot of them were drafted which means they had to go or suffer consequences. When I had returned from the Gulf War there were Vietnam veterans basically were standing watch in the airports because they did not want the same thing to happen to us as did them. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/retropolis/wp/2017/09/18/how-jane-fondas-1972-trip-to-north-vietnam-earned-her-the-nickname-hanoi-jane/

What is the difference between hope and desperation?
bleurowz comments on Jan 8, 2020:
Hope comes from a place of want; desperation comes from a place of need. Hope, you are in control of; desperation, it controls you.
azzow2 replies on Jan 8, 2020:
@bleurowz The more I think about they are both words of control to achieve a goal. You hope and fail you try again with even more doubt that success will be achieved. A desperate move and failure or success happens in every case their is a price to pay.

No matter how you look at it defying logic and reason can never have a good outcome.
What is the difference between hope and desperation?
tinkercreek comments on Jan 8, 2020:
Hope is looking forward to a desired outcome despite a lack of information, whereas desperation is a loss of rational thought in the effort to achieve a goal.
azzow2 replies on Jan 8, 2020:
So if you hope for something and you don't get a favorable outcome you do things to change the outcome without considering the ramifications?
What is the difference between hope and desperation?
Soarfeet comments on Jan 8, 2020:
Both words reflect a state of anticipation ... over a matter which you may have no control. Hope implies some degree of optimism for a favorable outcome, I think. Desperation sounds like a dark place.

Paracosm comments on Jan 8, 2020:
In what context? I'd think that hope is when you still believe in the possibility of something whereas desperation is when you've lost hope and may resort to drastic measures to achieve a goal.
azzow2 replies on Jan 8, 2020:

azzow2 replies on Jan 7, 2020:
It does not really affect my life much seeing that I spend a great deal of time alone as it is anyway. I kind of go at my own pace anyway for the most part so the output is not a major factor. I can find a point of ridiculous in almost any situation.

azzow2 replies on Jan 2, 2020:
I have run across the adage believe half of what you see and nothing that you hear. Most people embellish details to make a humdrum existence more tolerable, unfortunately this leads into deception more times than not. I agree the bullying of people's emotions proves nothing except the bullies own insecurities. Kids need to be protected at all cost and taught common sense they need to be taught that speaking up when something is not right is the best form of protection any of them can ever have.
