We have all the opportunities to socialize that everyone, including church goers, have. We have community groups, meet ups, friends, hobbies, theater, movies, sports, hiking swimming, camping, etc. I wouldn't call being in church "socializing' since it's done out of fear of going to hell -NOT from free choice. Plus, women usually have to wear the most dreadful 1950s clothing..hose, heels, skirts, cheap polyester clothing, sit still, be subservient to men, and be miserable.

Yup. I assume any man is capable of sexual assault if there are no women or other protectors around, and have already found that out on numerous occasions, from doctors to married missionary men. Most cis hetero men, strong in male traits, want to have sex with most women, so if they are restrained, it's from social or safety pressures (does she have a large boyfriend or husband, etc.). It's strange how many naive women don't realize this. Still, there are men who with strong feminine traits, gay, and/or on the asexual spectrum who don't pose a danger.

Hi, Laura, and welcome to the website! By the way, this website has a bit of a learning curve, so here's some info, in case you need it. For members who are open to dating, certain thumbnails and profiles have a heart symbol on them with a percentage. This identifies which members are open to dating, and the percent shows approximately how compatible others are with them. You gain website points by answering all the profile questions and writing a bio, which also earns website points, and helps other members get to know you. Commenting on posts and writing your own posts earns more points. At level two you can private message people, and at level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt. If you want to date, the website uses profile algorithms to find member matches, so the more details one includes, the better the match. Many people prefer to see a written profile talking about interests, hobbies, and backgrounds that can be quickly perused to find others with similar interests.. In case you didn't know yet, to find members near you, click on the "Browse" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters. Click on the "Discuss" button, then "Nearby" to find members near you also. Or click on the "About" button at the top left of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial. Points are now being given to level 3+ members who chat. You can see chat rooms on the group main page or at [agnostic.com].

The Carver can be driven on the public roads up to a maximum speed of 45 km/hr within urban areas. On the cycle & scooter paths the Carver is allowed to drive up to a maximum speed of 30 km/hr. Outside urban areas the Carver needs to stay on the cycle & scooter paths. You can park In scooter parking places or other designated parking spots or on the sidewalk. Hypnotherapy
birdingnut comments on Sep 18, 2018:
Yup. But you can buy a book and use hypnotherapy to cure traumatic memories yourself, or even take the basic "active ingredients" in hypnotherapy and do the stripped down version, which I've found to be the most effective. How to do it: Go into a meditative state and picture the traumatic event you wish to neutralize, but replace the bad memory with a new imagined "memory" of the way it SHOULD have happened. Experience the good memory at length, adding details as needed. For instance; parents loving, nursing, rocking you as a baby, accepting you as you are, toting you around in a baby carrier against their tummies, etc. You should come back to yourself afterward with no emotional reaction to the original traumatic event; the former anxiety replaced with peaceful emotions associated with the replacement "memory." These effects seem to be permanent.
Feeling a bit bummed.

The universe is the ultimate energy system.
birdingnut comments on Sep 17, 2018:
Hmm..you might not be keeping with the latest physics news. In 2016, the idea was reintroduced that dark matter doesn’t exist at all; no missing matter is needed to explain the errant motions of the heavenly bodies; rather, on cosmic scales, gravity itself works in a different way than either Isaac Newton or Albert Einstein predicted. Erik Verlinde, a theoretical physicist at the University of Amsterdam casts gravity as a byproduct of quantum interactions and suggests that the extra gravity attributed to dark matter is an effect of “dark energy”—the background energy woven into the space-time fabric of the universe. In his calculations, Verlinde rediscovered the equations of “modified Newtonian dynamics,” or MOND. Instead of hordes of invisible particles, “dark matter is an interplay between ordinary matter and dark energy,” Verlinde said. Einstein defined gravity as the effect of curves in space-time created by the presence of matter. According to the new approach, gravity is an emergent phenomenon. Space-time and the matter within it are treated as a hologram that arises from an underlying network of quantum bits (called “qubits” ), much as the three-dimensional environment of a computer game is encoded in classical bits on a silicon chip. Working within this framework, Verlinde traces dark energy to a property of these underlying qubits that supposedly encode the universe. On large scales in the hologram, he claims, dark energy interacts with matter in just the right way to create the illusion of dark matter. In a new analysis of galaxies published on Nov. 9 in Physical Review Letters, three astrophysicists led by Stacy McGaugh of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, have strengthened the case against dark matter. The researchers analyzed a diverse set of 153 galaxies, and for each one they compared the rotation speed of visible matter at any given distance from the galaxy’s center with the amount of visible matter contained within that galactic radius. Remarkably, these two variables were tightly linked in all the galaxies by a universal law, dubbed the “radial acceleration relation.” This makes perfect sense in the MOND paradigm, since visible matter is the exclusive source of the gravity driving the galaxy’s rotation (even if that gravity does not take the form prescribed by Newton or Einstein). With such a tight relationship between gravity felt by visible matter and gravity given by visible matter, there would seem to be no room, or need, for dark matter. ##### In my case I block all men who say they like to "hook up," are polyamorous, or otherwise promiscuous. Most women here are looking for a life partner..not some man just wanting to use them for sex.
I’ve always separated love from sex.
birdingnut comments on Sep 17, 2018:
Wow. You sound like someone I want to block. Unlike men, most cis hetero women aren't starved for sex, willing to sleep with anyone for recreation, as men are. Most normal cis hetero women want someone who loves, and is committed to them, who will support them and help raise the children. Why would women want to risk getting STDs or getting pregnant with strange men, getting nothing in return? Women don't have to worry about finding partners..most cis hetero men want to sleep with most women but most cis hetero women only want sex with a few men in their lifetimes.
Should I have my kids visit my religious mother and father-in-law?
birdingnut comments on Sep 17, 2018:
You could do as I do and train her to avoid religion by simply not paying attention to, or even looking at your mom if she's talking religion, or playing the religious song CD. Bring your own secular children's music CD and start playing it before she can play the religious songs. If she DOES play the religious songs or start talking about religion, remark how late it's getting and LEAVE. I trained my own parents in three visits that way.
Does Satan believe the Word of God?
birdingnut comments on Sep 17, 2018:
That makes no sense. There is no Satan. You need to write your profile and answer the profile questions. Even if you're only here for community it's creepy when people don't bother to identify themselves.
Should I still attend church?

Societal religiosity has fostered this notion that sex is this holy spiritual enactment.
birdingnut comments on Sep 17, 2018:
Wow..you seem to be under the impression that women, like most cis hetero men-who want to have sex with most women-also want to have sex with most men, and are starving for random sex..only being held back by fear of hell. Actually most cis hetero women only want to have sex with a few men in their lifetimes..men who will love them, give them top priority, be faithful, take care of them, and help raise their children. Why would they want to risk getting STDs, pregnancy, etc. when just about any man wants to have sex with them and they have their pick of mates. But if you're into random hook ups, there are plenty of promiscuous women with high levels of male hormones. They are willing to take risks for brief pleasure, and are often found in the sex trade.
Regarding God Is Love A common statement is that "God is love".
birdingnut comments on Sep 17, 2018:
That's because the god of the Bible is modeled on Anu, the blood-thirsty alien Sumerian ruler depicted in the Sumerian texts, written 2000 years before the Bible, and on which much of the Old Testament is based. But quantum physics says that all energy is connected and all energy responds to love, so I suppose in that sense "god" is love because god is US. Quote: “A fundamental conclusion of the new physics also acknowledges that the observer creates the reality. As observers, we are personally involved with the creation of our own reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a “mental” construction. Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: “The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter. Get over it, and accept the inarguable conclusion. The universe is immaterial-mental and spiritual.” – R.C. Henry, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University , “The Mental Universe” ; Nature

birdingnut comments on Sep 17, 2018:
I don't blame you; I hate wedding ceremonies and being forced to be around obnoxious relatives. Only a handful of close friends there and we ate afterward at a seafood restaurant on the beach.

Most people should stay away from injured wild birds, as they could be carrying feather mites or diseases. Besides, it's illegal to take care of injured native birds-you're supposed to take them to licensed rehabbers, but if you pulled it off without getting fined, then so much the better.

How do you know if you’ve really ever been in love?
birdingnut comments on Sep 17, 2018:
Only men strong in male traits fall in love, and women heavy in male hormones and traits. Men need to fall in love so they'll stop chasing every woman and stick with one woman long enough to help raise his progeny, thus ensuring his genes continue on earth. If typical cis hetero women were to become besotted over men, willing to overlook their dangerous behavior, and keep taking them back and making excuses for them, they are potentially putting their lives at risk and removing themselves from the gene pool, since unrestrained men can quickly become dangerous if there are no negative consequences. Most cis hetero women who are heavy in female traits are CHOOSERS (this applies to animals as well) ..they look over the admiring men (Most cis hetero men want to have sex with most women, while most women are only attracted that way to a few men in their lifetimes) and choose the ones that give them the most advantage...financial, power, safety, stability, etc. Think about it..even the most gorgeous caring men won't win a woman if he's homeless and a drug addict. Women strong in female traits aren't like most men..they aren't ruled by their hormones and eyes.

birdingnut comments on Sep 17, 2018:
Einstein taught us that all matter is a form of energy and all of it interacts and responds to the rest of the universe of energy. Since energy can neither be created nor destroyed, we have always existed and will always exist in some energy form. Plus, physics indicates that we are participating in creating our own universes/reality. “Consciousness is fundamental, and matter is derived from consciousness." – Max Planck, theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, 1918 Nobel Prize in Physics Quote: “A fundamental conclusion of the new physics also acknowledges that the observer creates the reality. As observers, we are personally involved with the creation of our own reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a “mental” construction. Should one bring/send flowers on a first date?
birdingnut comments on Sep 17, 2018:
Flowers aren't a good idea for a first date..better to find out if she's allergic, what her favorites are, and it's better to be far enough along in your dating that you can deliver the flowers to her door so she can put them in water before you leave on the date. The ball game is a great summer idea..except that in my case, I love any kind of informal ball game; community, church potluck game, local women's league, even Little League, etc. since the professionals spend so much time grabbing their crotches and spitting tobacco juice it makes me feel nauseous.

What are your views on marriage?
birdingnut comments on Sep 17, 2018:
I love the IDEA of marriage..the safety net of two incomes, someone to witness your life, someone to have your back, etc. But in real life, my ex COST me money, and stabbed me in the back, so I was totally relieved to get rid of him at last. Still..I'm seduced by the IDEA of marriage which a few people seem to have achieved and I seemed to have had also, for a while...

Can i post a photo from my facebook acct?
birdingnut comments on Sep 16, 2018:
No. You copy the Facebook photos to your computer, then you can upload them to agnostic.com, via the "upload photo" links on each posting box. By the way, this website has a bit of a learning curve, so here's some info, in case you need it. For members who are open to dating, certain thumbnails and profiles have a heart symbol on them with a percentage. This identifies which members are open to dating, and the percent shows approximately how compatible others are with them. You gain website points by uploading a recent photo of your face, answering all the profile questions and writing a bio, which also earns website points, and helps other members get to know you. WHY YOUR CARDIOLOGIST SHOULD ASK ABOUT YOUR LOVE LIFE NY Times Dr.
birdingnut comments on Sep 16, 2018:
Again the NYT link is BLOCKED unless you pay them. Link: "Throughout emotional misery, the nerves that management the heartbeat can set off a maladaptive “struggle or flight” response that causes blood vessels to constrict, the guts to gallop and blood stress to rise, leading to harm to the physique. In different phrases, it’s more and more clear that our hearts are delicate to our emotional system — to the metaphorical coronary heart, if you’ll. Docs like myself are educated to consider the guts as a machine that we will manipulate with the instruments of contemporary medication. These manipulations, nonetheless, have to be accompanied by higher consideration to the emotional life that the guts, for thus a few years, was believed to include." https://bylifetoday.com/2018/09/14/opinion/opinion-why-your-cardiologist-should-ask-about-your-love-life/
