Hi, Bhasker, and welcome to the website! The reality is that WE are our own gods. We create our own reality. “Consciousness is fundamental, and matter is derived from consciousness." – Max Planck, theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, 1918 Nobel Prize in Physics Quote: “A fundamental conclusion of the new physics also acknowledges that the observer creates the reality. As observers, we are personally involved with the creation of our own reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a “mental” construction. Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: “The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter. Get over it, and accept the inarguable conclusion. The universe is immaterial-mental and spiritual.” – R.C. Henry, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University , “The Mental Universe” ; Nature By the way, this website has a bit of a learning curve, so here's some info, in case you need it. Boy Scouts?
birdingnut comments on Sep 13, 2018:
I don't like the Boy Scouts because they are misogynistic, or were. Boys get to build shelters, tie knots, learn cool things like Morse Code, Braille, flag signals, go on camping trips, etc., but the girls get to wear long, ugly SKIRTS and sit around inside eating cookies. BORING. And stupid. I only attended once, then quit in disgust. I hear that now they must accept girls in the Boy Scout activities, but I still think it's stupid. I do much better camping and doing things on my own than following some group around, following orders, missing out on all the wildlife and tracks.

Like I keep saying, if your romantic partner, a relative, or friend EVER is emotionally abusive or a gaslighter, break off ALL CONTACT immediately. Block and delete them from ALL social media. Never contact them again. Tell people who ask about them that "things didn't work out" or that "you've grown apart," or that you've been "too busy" to pay attention to what they're doing these days. If you are living with the abuser as a romantic partner, say that "things aren't working out," and MOVE OUT. If the abusive person is living with you, put his things on the lawn and change the locks. Don't talk about them or contact them again, and if you run into them at social events remain distant. Act bored if they try to talk to you, then walk away. If you must, leave the area completely.

Awesome! I had both my kids at home, with a midwife. The trouble with home births is that nobody takes them seriously. My daughter was born in 30 minutes then my husband, who'd happened to be home for lunch, went back to his office, the midwives rolled up their paper sheets, and left, leaving me sitting "alone" in an easy chair, holding a newborn, with a toddler playing nearby. I was thirsty and starved, but my insides felt like they'd fallen out, so I wasn't able to do anything about it. Luckily, a girlfriend stopped by to check on me, then rushed off to get me a plate of whole wheat bagels smothered in cream cheese and even bought me some pink crocheted baby clothes, since I hadn't expected having a girl. Also, I'd given birth three weeks early.

So, I dumped red meat, most processed food, white flour, white sugar, and switched to fresh and organic food, legumes, fish, etc. and after several weeks of coughing up mucus as my body went through detox, I regained flexible joints, perfect health, and had no more colds, flu, or infections. Also, my stamina and energy doubled overnight.

Wood Heat?
birdingnut comments on Sep 12, 2018:
For a while, we used a cool invention to warm our entire two-story house, using very little wood. We ordered a barrel stove kit in the mail, and used two empty oil barrels, which we put in the basement, soldered very short legs to them, installed a door in one barrel, anchored one above the other, connected by a short pipe, so that the hot air rose into the second barrel, heated it, then went up the flu pipe. The barrel stove heated the basement and floor above it. We could put in a log section the length of the barrel and it would burn slowly for almost 24 hours, burning slowly down to ash with little smoke, and sparing us a lot of wood chopping. It kept the entire house so warm, we'd often have to open a few windows to cool things down a bit. We lived on a wooded farm, so acquiring windfall wood was no problem.

birdingnut comments on Sep 12, 2018:

What criteria are you using..apparently not the environment, the government, the treatment of other races, the near extinction of most of our iconic animals..rhino, elephants, tigers, etc., most people not being able to make a living or afford housing on current salaries, despite college degrees. If you mean, there is faster technology, we also need to start making new devices sustainable because of the vastly increasing piles of toxic tech waste polluting the environment. Of course, there are plenty of solutions, including making the chassis hemp or plant based, making new devices upgradeable with interchangeable parts, making everything green, sustainable, people choosing sustainable housing that can be used off-grid, tiny houses, etc.

Hi, Arwse, and welcome to the website! I sure hope so, but you could be optimistic. By the way, this website has a bit of a learning curve, so here's some info, in case you need it. For members who are open to dating, certain thumbnails and profiles have a heart symbol on them with a percentage. This identifies which members are open to dating, and the percent shows approximately how compatible others are with them. You gain website points by answering all the profile questions and writing a bio, which also earns website points, and helps other members get to know you. Commenting on posts and writing your own posts earns more points. At level two you can private message people, and at level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt. If you want to date, the website uses profile algorithms to find member matches, so the more details one includes, the better the match. Many people prefer to see a written profile talking about interests, hobbies, and backgrounds that can be quickly perused to find others with similar interests.. In case you didn't know yet, to find members near you, click on the "Browse" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters. It's tropical weather but I walked seven blocks to the Songkhla Tesco-Lotus mall for an ice cream cone and chocolate brownie, and visited the computer shop to see if the Thai computer technician could get my laptop VPNs to work after he.uploaded new Windows software two days ago, and I lost connection with all my US website accounts. He didn't even know what VPNs were, and when I explained that I needed to be able to connect with US websites instead of the Thai versions, he shrugged and asked "Why?" So I asked some of the apartment building staff for another computer shop name and they told me of one 2 km away. But before I could catch a public songtheaw to go there, a big rainstorm hit, so I'm waiting it out. Also, I watched Savation for awhile on Netlfix.
I made it to the summit! Mission Peak, 6,876'.

Beautiful- and congratulations! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Not I, however. After several knee-stressing backpacking trips on the Appalachian Trail I'll never do it again without my galloper invention. In fact, I don't like climbing that high anyway, since my entire agenda for any outdoor hike or climb is to locate and photograph/observe wildlife, which can't be done if people are stomping along swinging their arms, trying to beat their best time, and we are above the tree line anyway. I like to glide silently, watching for scat, tracks, and other signs, easing myself through the brush to sneak up on fox and deer, or follow a warber song to find a rare migrant. I like to hike in the south, in fact; the warmer the better..more birds, and I can dive into the ocean to cool off.
My contract job ended last week.

It doesn't explain how..Jesus just decided it would happen, and it did, since we are creating our own universes. John 2:1-10 King James Version (KJV) 2 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. 6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. 7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, 10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
Ok, I guess I'll write a post.

Cool! Welcome to the group! I haven't seen any "ghosts" but I have visions, or whatever, of people I love when they die. It's like I'm them, experiencing their thoughts as they die, or else they show up and have a conversation about it with me..often at the age I knew them best. This happens while I'm wide awake, usually in the company of others. I would turn to my "ex" and tell him that so-and-so just died and to note the time of day. I always hoped I was just imagining it, but it was always true. My family and friends just assumed whatever visions I had were true because I could also predict the future, etc. and had been that way all my life.

By the way, I leave the weather alone unless it's interfering in my life. I've made some serious mistakes and got scolded for it by others, who somehow knew I'd caused the problem. Like when I couldn't give up birding every day and delayed the rainy season in Nakhon, Thailand. I've been teaching in Thailand since 2010, by the way. Even though I said nothing, my (beautiful, young) female boss came to see me in my office, and just sat there, without accusing me, telling me that the rains were very late, the farmers were suffering, and that if it didn't rain soon then the waterbirds wouldn't have any place to live anyway when the ponds dried up, and I couldn't go birding anyway. I admitted nothing, said nothing, but when I finally mentally agreed, she seemed satisfied, nodded, and left. The Thai are pretty strong in mind-reading, by the way. The Thai students kept startling me by saying the English words I was about to write on the board..and they didn't even know English! By the way, I released the rain and it started raining almost immediately afterward. I also messed up the weather in Kentucky when we first moved there because I didn't realize they only got a few snowy days each winter and that winters were mild. I made it below zero for a week so we could ice skate on our farm pond. Finally, two middle school boys from up the holler stopped by the visit me. They didn't accuse me either, but quietly explained the Kentucky weather to me and said that the schools had been closed so long they might have to stay extra days in the summer. I also said nothing, but when I mentally agreed, they also nodded, and left. The weather moderated to 60 degrees within an hour. Weird that American kids were mind-readers like the Thai are.
