When do you if you're moving too fast when dating? Is it always a bad thing?
birdingnut comments on Jun 14, 2018:
Hi, Matt, If a woman tells a man he's moving too fast, she means she wants him to back off and let her decide if he is a keeper or not. It's always a bad thing for most women, since they are indicating that the man is making them feel uncomfortable, being too sexually aggressive. Women want men to be attracted to them for who they are, not just to satisfy the men's selfish urges. By the way, you earn website points, and help other members get to know you better, when you write an informational profile that includes your hobbies and interests, and answer all the profile questions, since that's the first place many people look when they see a new member. Also, the website uses your profile to find member matches, so the more details you include, the better the match. Then you make comments and write your own posts to earn more points and privileges; for instance, at level two you can private email people. You get different perks with each level, and when you reach level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt. To find members near you, click on the "Meet" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters. Hi, Visco, You could check online for local meet ups and community groups that do things you enjoy..maybe hiking, bird watching, kayaking, jamming on instruments together, ballroom dancing, etc. You could volunteer to clean up a local park, or repair a hiking trail. Facebook announced a rollout of a new dating app that combines meetups with dating so you can meet local people at nearby events you both enjoy and get to know each other before dating. I've been in Thailand so long, only seeing slender Thai and lean Europeans, I'm startled when I see American tourists, as so many are overweight. Thai friends tell me that whenever they visit the US for a few months, they also gain a lot of weight, but quickly lose it when they return to Thailand, with its natural food, lacking GMOs, growth hormones in the meat, etc.

Not going to celebrate until the orange white supremacist is gone.
Do you fight, flight, or freeze?
birdingnut comments on Jun 13, 2018:
All of the above, depending on the circumstances. 1.When I first hear a loud, suspicious noise, I usually don't react, but sort of freeze and look around to ascertain the threat and its location. Example: I often hear loud explosions and loud gunfire at night, here in Songkhla, but I know there are Thai police around, and all Thai carry a cellphone to call for help, so I go back to sleep. 2.If the threat involves me directly, I hide, run behind a barrier, do what it takes to avoid it. Example: a man with a gun ran into my college writing class classroom in 1970, knocked down the teacher, began firing the gun. I dropped low, and was out the door in a flash, but then realized the gunshot sounds were from blanks, and returned to class. It was just a stunt, prearranged by the teacher to see if students could remember details after observing a crime. The other students laughed at me for running, but none of them had moved..easy targets, if the gunman had been real. 3.If it's personal and confrontational, I attack. Example: when I leaped into an elephant's face that was goring a child at a circus and shook my purse at it. I startled the elephant into withdrawing slightly, and I was able to force the child to get up and run beyond the reach of the elephant's tether chain.
I recently encountered the Jahovah Witnesses at the door and had a fairly heated exchange.

I like the Silva Neves theory that the universe has always existed, and keeps expanding and contracting in cycles Since there is no direct evidence of the original singularity, (Collecting information from that first moment of expansion is impossible with current methods.) Brazilian physicist Juliano Cesar Silva Neves claims it may never have existed. Silva says, "there are many observations in cosmology" that support the hypothesis that the universe went through a period of rapid expansion, but no direct evidence that this expansion started with a singularity." Instead, the universe is eternally undergoing a cycle of contraction and expansion. These alternating phases smoothly follow each other like the phases of the tide. Similar to the original singularity from which the universe emerged, black holes are believed to have a point of infinite density in their center. But while a point of "infinite" mass can exist easily on paper, scientists have always struggled with how such a thing could exist in reality. And general relativity suggests that the normal laws of physics break down inside a singularity, and thus it offers little guidance to resolve this conundrum. Where do you live? If we knew the town, or if you were able to do it yourself, you could google a place that might be able to help you. As for freaking out and feeling hopeless, what has saved me many times is meditation of this type; get comfortable and focus on low volume ambient noise..traffic on a nearby street, birds outside, a ticking clock, a dripping faucet, any monotonous, repeating noise. Let your mind go unfocused until you're not thinking at all, and find yourself "waking up" an hour later, without having been conscious of the passing of time. This type yoga allows you to drift into your right brain hemisphere, which has perfect memory and knowledge of anything you need. Ever. Usually after I do this, things suddenly start going well..the right people appear, answers occur to me, circumstances turn around, etc.

I love the “What If’s”. What if, everyone waited to be married before having sex?
birdingnut comments on Jun 12, 2018:
It used to be that way in the US, so people tended to get married young and start their families right away. Since divorce was also rare, there were many nuclear families, and often the entire family had to work together on their farms and businesses. Now that most people are employed at jobs, women often have independent incomes, children aren't needed for work, and because there are more options, marriages are occurring later. I'm not sure if people will continue bothering to marry, though, since it's a big legal hassle to get divorced and most people don't stay together for life.

You mean, like a dictator? If I had total control I'd make the entire country self-sustaining and green..hemp everything, cannabis and useful natural drugs legal, have green, sustainable seafood farming, vertical hydroponic farms that don't use much water and no pesticides, 3-D printers to make homes from hemp, also hemp clothing, jewelry, etc. NO CATS, and all domestic dogs kept neutered and leashed to prevent local wildlife and birds going extinct.

Einstein showed us that all matter is a form of energy, even humans and animals, so since energy can neither be created nor destroyed, we have always existed and will always exist in some energy form. Quantum physics already proves that multiple dimensions exist. There could be reincarnation, for that matter. Much research has been done on children ages 2-6 years old, worldwide, who remembered past lives, even as ghosts between reincarnations, and as trees and animals. Researchers verified the details of what the children remembered. "For us believing physicists, the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." -Einstein.

Be sure not to feed them either. If you are with one, DUMP HIM- -put his stuff outside and change the lock. Then MOVE. Delete and block him from all your social media. If anyone brings him up, say "Things didn't work out," and change the subject. Never mention him to anyone Ever. If it's a friend or relative who is the culprit, only look at them and give them attention if they are being kind and nice. The moment they start in on you, look bored, look distracted, mumble "Um-hum," and LEAVE. Stay away a long time-days or weeks maybe. Repeat until they are trained..usually in only three encounters.

Hi, Ian, and welcome to the website, You earn website points, and help other members get to know you better, when you write an informational profile that includes your hobbies and interests, and answer all the profile questions, since that's the first place many people look when they see a new member. Or click on the "About" button at the top of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial. Click on the 'Meet" button to find member matches Links to FAQ: https://agnostic.com/faq, and a website tutorial: https://agnostic.com/welcome Have fun!

Things to help..skip caffeine and chocolate, take a long evening walk, turn off the electronic screens an hour before bedtime and read a book. Also, a few grains of food grade powdered catnip will knock you out in about one minute, so be sure you're ready for bed first.
I continue to be just amazed .

One of the best ways to fight is at the ballot box, and encouraging others to vote also. The greedy oligarchy Dems keep shooting themselves in the foot..now they've changed the rules to bar Bernie from running on the Dem. ticket, so they can hold onto power.
As a new member who's into talking about all the topics usually off the menu at a dinner party .
