CBD Can Treat Depression and Help People avoid dangerous antidepressants https://www.solcbd.com/blogs/news/cbd-for-depression-research-on-cbd-for-depression Also, I've dealt with traumatic memories by using the NLP techniques used by the US military to cure ptsd, taking the time to relax, and meditate, while re-imagining my life the way it should have been, with loving, caring parents, etc. It takes some time but afterward I'm left with emotions that match the imaginary memories, even though I know intellectually what happened. Studies also show that both magic mushrooms and ayahuasca can reset the mind of depressed people, or those with ptsd. Only pay attention to and listen to her when she is talking about neutral subjects and being nice, but the moment she goes religious, don't look at her, seem distracted, murmur "Um, hum" in a bored manner, then remember you have something to do, and LEAVE. If you are consistent, and act indifferent without seeming to notice her each time she starts in on you, and ONLY look at her and engage when she is being nice, you will soon train her to behave around you.

How do you handle religious in-laws?
birdingnut comments on Jun 6, 2018:
Short of avoiding them altogether, ignoring all religious debate, I used a behavioral technique that worked on my parents when they kept accusing my kids every time I visited them. It's simple..when people are doing what you want..speaking of neutral subjects, getting along, being kind and thoughtful, pay attention to them, laugh and talk with them, look at them, and engage. The moment they start to veer off and snipe at each other, attack or insult you, etc., stop noticing them. Seem distracted, murmur "Um-hum," as though to a child, then say something about having to do something, and leave the room. Go somewhere else and when you finally return, repeat that reaction each time they try to become abrasive. It doesn't take long to train them to behave around you.
Does anyone else here homeschool?
birdingnut comments on Jun 6, 2018:
I home schooled my kids until old enough for middle school, and by then their PSAT tests showed them at upper college level, and that they were qualified for the teacher program. I hadn't meant to home school them..they pretty much took over, started reading and speed reading as toddlers, after they began asking me to show them the phonics sounds used for the alphabet, so I used the Sing, Spell, Read and Write song series, seen on youTube. My daughter learned to read during a commercial while we were watching a movie, when she was two years old. She was reading 200-page books by the time she turned 3 years old, both kids doing algebra at five-they thought of algebra problems as fun "games" of finding "Mr. X", doing mental math with long strings of numbers at six, doing science experiments at five, etc. They'd get 200 books from the local library every ten days, and each would have read five books before we got home. I had to keep going further afield to university libraries to find new books for them. It was almost all self-directed learning..I only required them to gather books from the basic subjects each trip to the library, i.e. stacks of autobiographies and biographies of famous people on one trip, science and animals on another, human bodies and physical science at another time, etc.
We all commonly here people saying they believe in a higher power.
birdingnut comments on Jun 6, 2018:
You mean the one that ordered a man stoned to death for picking up a stick on Saturday, said a man could sell his daughters for slaves, that rebellious children should be stoned to death, that every man, woman, child, and animal must be slaughtered if they didn't surrender, and the ground sown with salt so it couldn't grow anything? That Hebrew god was modeled on the ancient bloodthirsty, revengeful Sumerian leader, "Anu," described in the Sumerian texts. Source energy, our Higher Selves, etc is the network of intelligent, loving, connected energy that composes the universe. It's NOT religious.
So I'm a member of a secular humanist organization called the Houston Oasis.

Yup, Einstein proved that all matter is a form of energy, so since energy can neither be created nor destroyed, we have always existed and will always exist in some energy form. Quantum physics already tells us different dimensions exist. "For physicists, the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." -Einstein. Besides, physics indicates that we are participating in creating our own universes/reality. “Consciousness is fundamental and matter is derived from consciousness." – Max Planck, theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, 1918 Nobel Prize in Physics

birdingnut comments on Jun 6, 2018:
My FAVE indie series is by first-time novelist Misha Burnett, the Catskinner series. I read and reread the series, then begged Misha on Facebook to write the next novel in the series, since he left the story hanging after four books. Premise: ordinary, skinny guy just wants a normal life, but his parents bound him to an alien energy (using a tattoo) when he was a baby..one that loves to kill. He's worked out a compromise with "Catskinner," his alien energy rider; he won't kill himself if Catskinner will listen to him and only kill when he allows it. He makes a lot of money as a hired killer, but gradually begins to realize that the people he works with, and many in his neighborhood also are "different" - having bargained with other alien entities in exchange for certain powers. As he begins to realize the world is different than he thought..he finds that even the beautiful woman who he loves isn't as she seems.. https://www.amazon.com/Catskinners-Book-Lost-Doors-ebook/dp/B008MPNBNS

Um..that's for women. Men are typically the ones who seek out women, ask them out, etc., although of course high IQ men are statistically androgynous (having mixed gender characteristics) so might have femme tendencies and wish to be pursued. Plenty of high IQ women are also high in masculine traits and like to do the pursuing, so it often works out.

birdingnut comments on Jun 5, 2018:
In case some of you more woodsy people wonder how I knew what gender these animals are..I checked their tracks in the snow or mud the next day. Female mammals have wider pelvises, so their back foot prints overstep the front foot prints slightly to the outside, while males have wider shoulders, so their hind foot prints step slightly to the inside of the front prints. Once I knew what the animals looked like, I could ID their genders just from trail cam photos, when the ground was dry.

birdingnut comments on Jun 5, 2018:
Best to treat them as you would treat a small child telling you an imaginary tale; just nod and murmur "Um..hum," while looking vaguely distracted, then mumble something about meeting someone and wander off. It quickly trains people not to talk religion to you. If someone still follows you to rant, continue the bored behavior; let your attention seem to wander, then politely excuse yourself, and leave the room.

It's amazing how so much beautiful music was commissioned by the church.
birdingnut comments on Jun 5, 2018:
For centuries musicians were dependent on wealthy patrons to pay them, unless they wanted to play music on the street for money, so many early compositions were written to amuse kings. When the church rose to wealth and power, they became the major music sponsors, asking musicians to write religious music for church services.

birdingnut comments on Jun 4, 2018:
Hmmm....you do know that there are people who actually teleport. Many of them, in fact. Usually, people don't do it deliberately - they just find themselves somewhere else when they are in danger, but some eastern disciplines allow people to teleport at will. We are all made of energy, and time and space don't really exist, so why not? This has happened to me numerous times, and my brother-in-law, a close friend, and my daughter have also reported teleporting. In fact, I usually didn't realize it had happened to me until later, since it seemed normal at the time. Once, I found my car behind a monster truck that was about to hit me head on in a narrow mountain road with steep gullies on both sides of the road. Several times I started out with my husband on trips that should have taken several hours, only to see the exit signs for the city almost as soon as we got on the interstate. When my car's speedometer stopped working, suddenly I was able to drive to Louisville from my farm near Morehead, KY, in 20 minutes instead of two hours, and to Cincinnati, OH, in 40 minutes when it should have taken three hours. I didn't pay much attention, although my dad met me in the driveway freaking out when I called him from my sister's house in Louisville just before starting for home, and arrived at my house in 20 minutes, even though I'd stopped for gas on the way. He kept yelling that it was impossible, but I didn't pay much attention to him. But after I got a car with a working speedometer, suddenly those same trips took several hours apiece, to my annoyance. A few years later, my daughter's car's speedometer also stopped working, and the same thing happened to her. Others on this website have reported similar things happening to them. If you troll me, I'll just block you.

birdingnut comments on Jun 4, 2018:
Yup. My daughter was riding her bike at four years old and I taught both kids to drive when my daughter was eight and my son was 11 years old, on our Kentucky farm. My plan was to teach them before they became rebellious teenagers, because at this age they were still willing to practice, just to get to drive. Besides, I reasoned that when they were older, eventually they'd take the car in the night and go joy-riding and I preferred they have driving skills first. I laid a section of folded newspaper in the long driveway and had them practice stopping the car with a specified wheel in the middle of the paper until they could do it perfectly with any wheel I told them to. Next I set out a maze homemade of traffic cones and had them first practice driving through the maze, then backing the car through it, stopping and starting when I said. When they mastered that, I let the kids take take turns driving up the holler road that runs beside our farm up a steep hill to a remote pond where we swam in the summer. They had to stop and start the car on the steep slope repeatedly, until they could do it without spinning the wheels in the gravel, and then park the car correctly at the top.

Even if I were back in the US, I wouldn't watch the NFL after their ban on black players protesting unarmed black men being shot by white supremacist police. But beyond that, every time those players crash into each other they are sustaining permanent brain damage which could eventually kill them.
Are there any single ladies in the Mission BC area who would like to talk?

Hi, Richard, and welcome to the website! You will earn website points, and help other members get to know you better, if you write an informational profile and answer the profile questions, since that's the first place many people look when they see a new member. Then you make comments and write your own posts to earn more points, and when you reach level two you can private email people. You get different perks with different levels, and when you reach level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt. To find members near you, click on the "Meet" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters. A link to FAQ and a website tutorial: https://agnostic.com/welcome Have fun!
I used to think that religion was one of the biggest problems in the world.

They are part of the same population deception and control package.
Where are all of you from?
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
I'm currently living in Thailand and everywhere I've lived I've seen mixed gender presentation people living normal lives and totally accepted by the community. Thai Buddhism accepts a Third Gender, so at least in areas lacking Christian Western influence, transgender and nonbinary people are accepted as normal and work in regular jobs.
Over the course of my deconversion I experienced a variety of emotions towards church and ...

Life doesn't end with death. Einstein taught us that all matter is a form of energy, so since energy can neither be created nor destroyed, we have always existed and will always exist in some energy form. No reason to think souls don't exist, and quantum physics already tells us different dimensions exist. "For us believing physicists, the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." -Einstein. There has been a lot reincarnation research with children ages 2-6 who remember past lives, where researchers are able to verify what the children remember..past conversations, events, knowing family members in another place, even several children, who had been murdered in a past life, leading police to their old bodies and pointing out their murderers, who confessed. Some children remembered being animals, trees, being on other planets, or being ghosts between reincarnations. Yet the details of many of the incidents they remembered while in these forms were confirmed by the researchers. Both my sister and I were born remembering a past life and I have since remembered some events of about seven reincarnations, even one as an ancient wolf. I was even able to google a few of the events I remembered from a past reincarnations and found the details to be true.
Hello im new to this group.

One trick I learned to get rid of ptsd was to imagine traumatic incidents they way they should have happened, with the accidents not happening, or people treating me with love and respect. I first used this to stop flash backs from a horrible car accident I witnessed in which my entire family was almost wiped out.
Are "selfies" disingenuous?
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
Depends. I am a bird and wildlife photographer here in Thailand so usually carry expensive cameras with 400mm lenses, so it's not practical to take selfies. But my daughter complained she seldom saw any photos of me so I began using my Galaxy Note 10.1 for selfies. Here are a few: 1.selfie on Samila Beach, Songkhla 2.Photo in mirror of me with my camouflaged camera 3.selfie on my Songkhla apartment balcony 4.selfie taken while crossing the Gulf of Thailand harbor by ferry, on my motorbike
Beautiful day here in Bluff, New Zealand. Hi to all, wishing you a safe and great weekend :)

Here in Songkhla, Thailand, also. Here is a sefie taken at Samila Beach, Songkhla.
I'm an atheist Unitarian Universalist.
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
Interesting. You might consider writing your profile.
Where are you from?
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
I was born of American missionary parents in Haiti, next to Cuba. I commuted to the US every five years for a year to keep up my American citizenship, and moved to the US for college in Kentucky, after which I lived in various states, such as IN, GA, CA, IA, CO, and NJ. But because my mom's family farm was near Morehead, KY, that's where I lived the longest.
It has been a horrible day.

It depends. You signed up for dating on this website but you're married. Perhaps you are falsely accusing her and are the one who needs help. If you are serious and there really is something wrong, there are natural remedies, such as CBD oil, magic mushrooms, ayahuasca, etc. that can reset the bipolar mind.
Unclean animals?
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
Because it's just a silly book, copied from the Sumerian texts and other writings.
I am actually angry tonight.
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
You can check online for local meet ups, join community groups that do things you also enjoy, such as dancing, volunteer to help clean up a park or repair a national park trail. Facebook is launching a new dating/meet up app that lets members of like interests meet at local events, etc.
So I gave up crossword puzzles for Sudoku.
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
LOL!
Would you contact a person with this bio?
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
Lacks reasons for people to join your happy life, if they already have one of their own. Perhaps it should list a few representative things you enjoy doing; interests, hobbies, etc. It might scare away a few gold-diggers, but normally it's the man who does the pursuing, so shouldn't be an issue.
I hate to be the evangelical of the group but... I do highly recommend those last two items.
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
Yup. That way you don't have to worry about matching your socks, and if you open a banana from the end, like a monkey does, it easily pops open.
I'm way too picky for my own good...also it's damn hard to find single atheist women...just sayin
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
There's a reason for that..more than two out of three atheists are men in the US. http://www.pewforum.org/2016/03/22/women-more-likely-than-men-to-affiliate-with-a-religion/
I completely agree!

I feel as though the people in my life are attracted to me because of how I make them feel.
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
Sure, I used to be that way. Then one day I decided I'd had enough, and I learned to use a new word. No. Not "No" with excuses why not, but just "No." If someone tries to borrow money, I just say I "never" lend money. If they ask me to do something for them, I just say I have other plans. I don't give details, just vague remarks, then act disinterested and walk away. If asked where I'm going, I mumble something about meeting someone, but I don't engage. Afterward, I avoid that person. I don't need "takers" in my life.

How many people do you follow?
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:
LOL! You live in a remote (to most), cold area of the US, so might not be a lot of members nearby for a meet-up. You can check local meet up "events," from the drop-down menu under the "Meet" button at the top of the page, or check "members", also under the "Meet" button. If you want to fly down to Songkhla, Thailand, I'll hang with you a bit, but you'd better serve your time in paradise hitting the tourist resorts.
50-60% of our DNA is exactly the same as a banana.
birdingnut comments on Jun 3, 2018:

Don't do it.

Good rule of thumb..
For fellow Trump Supporters! You are not alone!

I hope you're joking. If you really are for that sexual predator Nazi-loving racist misogynist, then I will block you so I don't have to read any bovine manure from you.

How do you handle family members that have cut you off or vice versa?
birdingnut comments on Jun 2, 2018:
Most of my siblings ganged up on me eight years ago when my abusive ex started accusing me, in an effort to stop me from divorcing him. Then my siblings joined in and emailed some terrible things about me, so I moved to Thailand and ignored them. My one sister who remained friendly with me told a few days that my brothers are now trying to get in touch with me. Since I'm on Facebook, shouldn't be that difficult. But I've made no effort to reach out to them.

birdingnut comments on Jun 2, 2018:
NO. It's pretty useless. I mean, Love. Just love and forgive. What nonsense. That's the advice a pastor gave me when I came in for counseling with my cheating, abusive husband. I finally just dumped him. Problem solved.

Ladies, we burned the bra in the 70s.
