Ever had to just pack up and go, leaving everything behind, especially late in life?
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
I suppose in 2010 when I sold everything and moved to Thailand to teach English when I was 57 years old, and to do bird photography. How did I handle it? I fell in love with Thailand and within six months had forgotten what my ex looked like! Photo is of a rare Nicobar Pigeon I photographed at the Mu Ko Similan Marine Park, Thailand, and of me coming out of the water there.

I haven't been around much. I've been very depressed.
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
I'm sorry about that. CBD oil, legal most places, is said to raise people's moods, and cures seizures as well. Taking small amounts of cannabis oil during the day will also stop depression. St. John's Wort, 5-htp, magnesium supplements, a few drops of food grade iodine in water (cheap, found at WalMart) help, talking a walk at sunrise will reset the thyroid for a better mood, etc. You can order derris scandens capsules from amazon, which work well for me, at least, and even gets rid of my dyslexia and dysphoria symptoms. Follow Abraham Hick's advice: decide what you want in your life, then start doing things you love to do and don't worry about it anymore, allowing the answers to flow down to you without resistance. How many others are offended because of Billy Graham's body being placed in the US capitol?
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
I sure am. He's on record as urging Nixon to do a bombing campaign in Vietnam that would kill a million people (Nixon refused), mocked MLK jr., saying that white and black children would NEVER hold hands and walk together, caught on tape mocking Jews with Nixon, helped organize the Religious Right, etc., which ultimately brought us Trump. He was a manipulative, greedy person who made a personal fortune from pushing religion.

I'm struggling and looking for advice.
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
I already know why my relationships failed..I lack female instincts and boundaries. Instead of managing my male sig others, as women with strong female instincts do, I'd be "pals" with them, acting like typical males who let friends borrow and trash their cars, lend them money even when they blow it on beer, keep putting up with them. Men need this attitude to survive relationships with critical women and raise progeny, but women who have this male tendency are putting themselves at risk. Abused women are typically these types, always giving second chances, believing, like males, that they should be faithful to the end, being enablers of dangerous male behavior. I don't know the answer for this, other than avoiding having relationships beyond friendship, and dating women doesn't seem to be the answer either. When I tried a brief online courtship of a transwoman friend from high school, it wasn't long until she was planning my life for me, trying to boss me around, and my 40% female side rose up and dumped her. But I'll see what happens. Maybe something will happen, in time.
Do you think the religious really believe?
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
If they really believed that "God is in control and everything that happens is His will" they wouldn't buy insurance, or take their children to the doctor when they're sick. They wouldn't want to thwart "God's will."
Why do women insist on going to the bathroom together.
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
Women high in female traits seem to like socializing, grouping together to do things, probably useful in the past for protection from predatory males. It's that way in Thailand, also, and Thai women constantly express astonishment that I travel by myself, for instance.

Same-sex dating after abusive relationship?
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
You're describing how many/most cis females treat their male spouses, although most males don't even notice it. They hand over their pay checks, obediently do their assigned chores, ask permission to see their friends, etc., but never complain because normal cis males are hard wired to obey females. Men with mixed gender traits are usually high IQ creative types and tend to have serial relationships, since they're too independent. The instinct has an evolutionary use; studies show that unattached men tend to have destructive behaviors and that bringing women into lawless, violent towns in the west, civilized them, and people could raise children. Your instinct to obey females and hand over your money comes from your male traits, and I have the same thing, so keep my distance from females at work who instinctively realize this and keep asking for favors, and to borrow money. I don't know the answer, though. Several times when I responded to a girl I liked, she immediately began taking over my life..dictating to me where to work, where to live, what furniture to have, bossing me around like I was her minion, showing insane jealousy if I talked to anyone else. In my case, I'm only have 60% male traits, so my female side saves me. After a bit, I would feel outraged, ditch the relationship, and move on.
Is it possible to be in love with multiple people at once?
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
Of course you can. Even I can, despite being demisexual. In 2014, soon after I became aware I'm partially transmale, my male side accidentally "fell in love" (for the first time) with an old high school classmate who was transitioning to female. Yet, I was still bonded to my last spouse, after the 2010 divorce, so I was "in love" with two people. Technically, I wasn't "in love" with my spouse, since only males can fall in love (and masculine trait females), but I was very strongly bonded to two people, of opposite genders. Or maybe not, because my ex came out as nonbinary female two years later, so maybe my male side was involved with both love cases.

birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
I was raised to be religious, and only ditched church and belief in the Bible in recent years, yet I was never promiscuous, and have been celibate since my divorce in 2010. Not from morality, though. I'm demisexual and the whole sex with strangers thing is revolting to me. Ew! It takes me over a year to warm to someone and experience sexual attraction, and then it's only for that one person. I'm mildly panromantic, though, so can sort of fall in love with anything-with no sexual undertones.

How to facilitate a close and meaningful relationship with Christian siblings

I avoid the subject. I already came out to them as partially transmale in 2014, so they have enough to process without adding religion. Besides, my siblings are United Methodists, if they attend church at all, and liberal.I doubt they care one way or the other what anyone believes.

Can I get a shout out from other transmen?
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
I'm nonbinary, but partially transmale. Part of me has always assumed I'm male. I still have an active female side, however. I live as an androgyne female, due to taking the local Thai herb, derris scandens, that seems to blend my two genders into harmony, eliminating dysphoria.
When travelling around, do you prefer what mode of transport
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
What kind of "traveling around?" For short distances, under a mile, I walk. Over a mile, locally, I can drive a motorbike or take a songtheaw-a pickup truck made into a sort of public bus, or for much longer trips, I take a public transport van.

Where do ladies love to be taken for a first date?
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
Most online dating advice books recommend a first date meet casually at a coffee shop near the woman's home, in public, in separate cars. If you hit it off, you can take a walk after, or make a date for later. I learned the hard way that even a second date can be dangerous for women, so they might opt to keep the separate car and meeting in public rule for the first few dates.
Is it ok to message women directly or is there some other protocol?
birdingnut comments on Feb 26, 2018:
Sure! That's how it's done. But the reason the most interesting women might seem to live across the world from you, is likely because someone living near you might seem ordinary. Someone from Tasmania? Exciting! Someone from nearby .. maybe not so much.

How do you find that "special someone"
birdingnut comments on Feb 25, 2018:
It's not hard to get women to like you.. 1. join a ballroom dance class and dance with everyone! After you get better, join other, more advanced classes as well, and women will fight over you, since dance classes usually have more women than men. 2. Learn how to give foot rubs. Offer to rub the tired feet of a few women friends at a dance, and word will get out. My ex was a great dancer and also a licensed foot masseuse, and women would go berserk begging to dance with him or to get a foot rub, when they saw him giving me one between dances. Because there was always a shortage of men, I'd urge my ex to dance with them in turns, and of course they'd fight over him.
Envisioning the future of sex
birdingnut comments on Feb 25, 2018:
Once sexbots are common, humans will likely die out. If men can get free BJs or kinky sex of any variety all day, why work? Same for women. Why put up with smelly, messy men if they can have a hot man bot who is a perfect dancer, does laundry, and can give her pleasure that no man ever did.

birdingnut comments on Feb 25, 2018:
I came mostly for the conversation, after joining an MK (missionary kid) forum and constantly getting blasted by condemnation Scriptures every time I mentioned the LGBTQ community or anything scientific. I stopped going there after a friend gave me a link to agnostic.com, but today I went back there and waded into a tribute for Billy Graham by bringing up his intolerance, and son's association with Trump. Then I went on to blast Christianity in general, so we'll see what happens.

If dogs senses are so much greater than ours; why do they have to get so close to smell other dogs ...
birdingnut comments on Feb 25, 2018:
Because of my organic, mostly raw food diet, my sense of smell was sharper than that of my dogs, in some cases. At least, it seemed that way, because of my height. On hikes, I'd sometimes pick up the higher wind scent of a whitetail buck before the lower-to-the-ground dogs did, and when we reached the place where it crossed the trail, and I could see the tracks, the dogs would go crazy with excitement, sniffing the air. I also had razor-sharp hearing, so on night hikes I could keep track of surrounding wildlife by both sound and scent. I'd murmur to my ex, as we came down a trail in almost pitch darkness, "Buck following us at two o'clock, 30 feet away." or we'd hear a sound and I'd say, "Red fox at 10 o'clock." I also picked up on smelly scent markings on trees, and scent scrapes in the trail. I used to read wild animal tracks in the woods like one reads a newspaper, and knew the animal residents..when they hunted, and with whom, their new babies, what they'd killed, etc. I knew the genders of the animals by the foot placement of their tracks..females step on the outside of their front paw prints with their hind feet (broader hips) while males step on the insides (broader shoulders).

Opinions on being a nudist?
birdingnut comments on Feb 24, 2018:
I grew up in Haiti, where casual nudity is OK in the country on wash day. Also, my parents strolled around the house naked until my brother was old enough to start objecting to seeing it, and I was that way with my kids. When they started diving into the closet to get dressed, we put on our clothes. But we still would stop the horses after a long trail ride to the next country, tie them up, and all of us go skinny dip swimming almost every summer day in a large pond on the edge of the woods in Rowan CO, KY.

Does or has anyone really felt they fit in?
birdingnut comments on Feb 24, 2018:
I don't fit in with some people, but in other ways I fit in with everyone. I'm part Native American, tri-cultural, pentalingual, high IQ (with some corresponding liabilities), extremely active, eat health food, nonbinary and mixed gender, and have seen and experienced things most conventional Americans wouldn't even believe if I told them. I have been riding, training, and (once) breeding horses since I was ten, but I don't believe in shoeing horses, using halters, keeping horses in stalls, feeding them processed feed, riding them in arenas, using saddles and bridles, or holding the lines tight when driving horses, etc. So, to typical American horse owners, I do NOT fit in. So, I don't think like most conventional Americans, but on the other hand I feel at home anywhere in the world I've gone, and love learning about new cultures, meeting different kinds of people, etc.

Can you fall in love with someone who you've never met in person?
birdingnut comments on Feb 24, 2018:
Sure, because "falling in love" is a male trait, and males are attracted to females by their appearance. Besotted males in love serve an evolutionary purpose as this keeps them with one woman long enough to help raise his progeny, increasing their children's chance of success. Women with strong male traits can also fall in love as men do, but this is riskier for females since it puts them in harm's way if they become besotted with a stranger and get lured into a trap, give him money to "rescue" him, don't know if he's married, has kids, is sleeping with a dozen women, has STDs, etc. Gullible women are lured by predators all the time. Most females (heavy in female traits) are skeptical, suspicious, do thorough background checks of new men, and only pick people their friends and mother would approve. Someone with a good income, who has standing in the community, etc. Books on online dating advise meeting in person after five exchanges, for coffee in a public place. If the guy starts waffling, that's a red flag, indicating he's hiding something or isn't serious, so delete him at once.

What's the best way to get into a woman's heart (if ya know what I mean).
birdingnut comments on Feb 24, 2018:
If you mean on this website, it would help to post a photo of yourself, complete your profile, tell what kind of person you'd like to meet, and join conversations in a polite, kind, respectful, humorous manner. If someone interests you, you can read her profile, find out where she lives and what she's looking for in a relationship, see all her posts-attached to the profile, engage her in a few casual conversations on topics that interest her, and if she seems ok with it, try a private message, and see if you can get a friendship going. But if you only meant how you can seduce a woman, then you deserve what you get...ew!
Is it wise to get back with an ex?
birdingnut comments on Feb 24, 2018:
Nope. People don't change. But women with a high level of male traits are often like men, in their tendency to "fall in love," cling to one person, be co-dependent, forgive anything, make excuses, etc, putting themselves constantly at risk from their lack of boundaries. That's how men act with their girlfriends. But typical cis women, who are heavy in female traits, don't put up with nonsense in men. They are the "choosers"..looking for the best match; one that gives them the most advantages. If the man messes up, he will likely come home to find his stuff on the lawn, the locks of their house changed, and she will move on without a backward glance..

birdingnut comments on Feb 24, 2018:
I looked at your bio and we have a lot of similar characteristics, but I'm an androgyne..a gender mix, as are most high IQ creative people..the kind that attracts you, apparently. I have SELDOM, if ever, met women who show interest in similar things to me-mostly they talk about work, family, relationships, TV shows, and other mundane topics. If I mention any other topic, they stare at me blankly. If I let a female pick a movie to watch at home, it's usually something bland and sappy(in my opinion). Here in Thailand, I've met at least one blonde South African lady who was up for taking off up the mountain on the motorbike, climbing steep trails and cliffs, and riding the breakers, but she moved to the Canary Islands to run a school. But none of the women had the slightest curiosity about science or politics. I have met men, at least, who sometimes discuss things I consider interesting, but few who build new inventions, or do their own writing, music, or art, as I do. So, if you do find a woman who matches your interests, be prepared for the male traits that typically come with the territory, as she might be more interested in her own agenda than yours.

Because this is an agnostic website and studies show that agnostics statistically have higher IQs than the average population, you will naturally meet more intelligent women. Be advised that studies also associate creative high IQ with androgyny..so many women here will also have mixed gender traits, and be more likely to be wanting/pursuing their own careers.

Has a faith healer ever wanted to try to heal you?
birdingnut comments on Feb 23, 2018:
I've always had psychic powers, as well my mom, sister, and both kids, often healing people, among other things, raising animals from the dead, ESP, teleportation, etc., but without religious connotations. Everyone can do it, and the Haitians did all the time, as well as Native American Indians. In fact, their white child captives would acquire Jesus-like powers within six months of being captured and never lost them even when they were returned to their white, Christian families. Einstein showed us that all matter is a form of energy, so since energy can neither be created nor destroyed, we have always existed and will always exist in some energy form. I believe in physics, and that we are participating in creating our own universes/reality Mark 11:23 in the Bible also agrees: "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." “I regard consciousness as fundamental and matter as derivative from consciousness." – Max Planck, theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, 1918 Nobel Prize in Physics
How often do you view porn?
birdingnut comments on Feb 23, 2018:
Um..NEVER, unless it's part of the story, without prurient intent. I'm demisexual, so even the thought of sex can make me feel disgusted and nauseated, unless I've been with someone over a year and the "demi" part of my label kicks in. Once I bond with partners, they have a new problem..I'm kinky, and my libido is higher than that of most men, I'm told. Being mixed gender and partially transmale, I love all sorts of gender switching roles, mild S & M, costumes, and fantasy play..considering typical hetero male "rabbit sex" boring and uninteresting. My ex used to send me X-rated porn ecards, trying different sexual orientation genres to see what I liked. I felt revulsion when seeing hetero porn, indifference with lesbian porn, and mild romantic feelings seeing gay male porn, so I assume I subconsciously saw them as representing my ex and me.
Are there some of you who have had to sever relationships with overly religious family members?
birdingnut comments on Feb 23, 2018:
I've been ignored by my parents a couple of times for expressing strong doubts/disapproval of accepted church doctrine. I haven't been around any relatives since I completely dumped religion, since I've been in Thailand since 2010, but most of them are liberal United Methodists, who seldom attend church, if at all.
While finishing up a work project at a high school north of Houston, I saw 3 female students ...

After Thailand's recent urban westernization with US movies and music, the teen pregnancy rate rose steeply, but government intervention in the past decade has greatly reduced births. Abortion in Thailand is illegal and the society is very conservative, with most people living in extended families, so teen pregnancy wasn't previously a big problem.
When Considering A Relationship With Someone, How Important Is The Person's Annual Income ?
birdingnut comments on Feb 23, 2018:
Any female who DOESN'T take income into consideration when considering being with a male is just asking for trouble. Unless, that is, she is financially independent and is taking on the lover for other reasons. Men typically only care about a potential female mate being attractive, young, fertile, and willing to take care of him, since men have traditionally had the higher income. But male-ish women who lack female instincts, and throw themselves at men, allowing dead beats to move in and take advantage of them are legion. Of course, guys are often happy to take her money, sponge off her income, and still cheat anyway.
Has anyone ever pawned anything?

No, but I used to shop regularly in large local pawnshops for bargains.

When someone writes no drug users do they include cannabis use also?
birdingnut comments on Feb 23, 2018:
I always chuckle when I read that..almost seems like a religious person's rigid opinion. I suppose if someone complains about pot use because of the smoke, just use cannabis oil or edibles instead of smoke, and don't get trashed.

It's odd how someone now an atheist would continue to discuss something that doesn't exist. And while you're at it..which god? Dating the religious.
birdingnut comments on Feb 23, 2018:
This is puzzling to me. You're worried about what she'll think of YOU? I'd tell/hint/imply strongly that I'm a "nonbeliever" right away. If you met her online, your stance should already be on your profile, to eliminate the religious nuts. There's no fury like the fury of a religious woman feeling "tricked." If she's religious, you've dodged a bullet. If she doesn't care, then you've lost nothing.

God was looking out for me this morning.
birdingnut comments on Feb 23, 2018:
That reminds me of an incident that happened when I was a missionary kid in Haiti. I was riding my horse along a grassy trail through a field, when a Haitian kid, hoping for bribe money, threw himself down in the middle of the trail in front of me and began howling and wailing for help, that I had ridden over him on my horse. Haitians love to try to get money out of foreigners if they can. I stopped the horse and sat there staring down on him while he thrashed around on the ground melodramatically, then, I suddenly rolled off the horse and began flopping around on the ground also. The boy sat up and asked me what happened. "You pushed me off my horse! You pushed me off my horse!" He considered a second, then deadpanned, "THAT was for running over me!"
A friend told me today that I am vibrant. I wonder, what does that mean?
birdingnut comments on Feb 23, 2018:
"Vibrant" usually means that you are exuding intelligence and upbeat energy. Sort of bursting out of your skin, so to speak. I have that a lot..since I'm partially transmale I have high levels of testosterone, so always feel excited, energetic, have boundless enthusiasm for my myriad obsessions. Because I skip red/most meat, only eat fish, skip most processed food, and eat only two meals a day, I tend to look and act much younger than 65 yrs old, and trip along the street like a terrier dog. I'm so active that most men refuse to hike anywhere with me twice.
Hello, fellow heathens.
birdingnut comments on Feb 23, 2018:
Hi! You did the first best step..filling out your bio! Now, just jump into conversations that interest you, post some of your own, and interested people are likely to start PMing you. If you like what someone posts, click on their profile and you can read everything they've posted so far, or you can "follow" interesting people. If someone starts annoying you, and refuses to back down, just go to their profile and block them. After that you'll not see their posts again, and they can't see yours.

Do you embrace simplicity in your life?
birdingnut comments on Feb 22, 2018:
That is a Thai Buddhist concept that I have embraced since moving here- getting rid of most of my possessions each time I move to another Thai province. I recently dumped or sold most of my stuff in anticipation of a move back to the US, but have since been delayed for many months, but seldom miss the stuff I sold.
Greetings and salutations my fellow travelers, hope you are enjoying things as I am.

birdingnut comments on Feb 22, 2018:
Our place where? When I did drink, it was fine wine in small amounts. Why would I want a "place" with religious people? I tend to hang with like-minded people, who enjoy the same things, so no religious people.
I have lived in the south for most of my adult life.
birdingnut comments on Feb 22, 2018:
Last night, the younger brother of one of my childhood Haiti missionary kid (MK) friends invited me to "like" a missionary page. It actually was a good organization..all good deeds for third world people, without preaching, but it annoyed me that he would assume anything about me (despite my being an MK myself) so I told him that since 85% of white evangelicals had voted for Trump, a self-admitted sexual predator, racist, bigot, etc. I'd changed my mind about Christianity and no longer support it. I did it by PM, but I noticed that I do tend to call out people who try to assume I believe as they do.
Why
birdingnut comments on Feb 22, 2018:
It's a way for couples to prolong their relationships past the point where they've lost some interest in each other. The old joke is that if newlyweds put a penny in the jar each time they make love, then after a year, start taking a penny out of the jar each they did it, the jar would never empty. This is, sadly, too true. Inviting others into the sex play keeps couples together since they can have their cake and eat it too, and this has been popular for centuries anyway, before divorce was allowed. Read any 17th-19th century romance novels. It is also done to satisfy bisexual people, so they can enjoy sex with either gender, while still maintaining a conventional marriage.
Ok your funny former religious experiences.

How important is it to people to have political compatibility?
birdingnut comments on Feb 22, 2018:
NO and NO. I also wouldn't date anyone who liked to eat junk food or red meat, liked to hunt, golf, loaf in the front of the TV, or who does urban or oil development. I wouldn't date anyone who watched Fox News, was a Conservative, was religious (unless they were indifferent to it), never traveled out of the US, was a Republican, lived with his mother or ex wife, or allowed them to run his life. I wouldn't date anyone who had never had children, or who still had children at home. I wouldn't date someone who let a large dog have the run of his house. Or who had cats. I wouldn't date someone of another ethnicity, since few, if any, ethnicities treat women as equals, and many/most will hit on a Caucasian woman in hopes of bettering their social status.. So, really, political views are just one of my sticking points.
Am I wrong in assuming that most people here have seen the movie Idiocracy?

NO. It's just crazy Trump shilling for the NRA, who pays him millions in kickbacks for endorsements. It's insane, when other countries that passed sensible gun laws stopped mass shootings. The GOP has the silly alt-right by the nose, using religion. Australia hasn't had a fatal mass shooting since 1996. Here's what it did https://usat.ly/2o8Sp4n via @usatoday
What is the worst place someone could ask you on a date?
birdingnut comments on Feb 22, 2018:
Anywhere I didn't like, I'd turn him down, or make my own suggestion. I usually am the one who decides where to go anyway, and they have to ask three days ahead, or I'm sorry, but I already have plans. Doesn't matter to me if I go out with them or not.
