I liked it. Should I say it's interesting? No. That's useless. Your voice is very nice. Not great, nice. The guitar is pretty poor. I'm sure you know. The sentiment is what has some power. And it's very feminine, that fear of being second choice. I'm not sure how to work on the strengths and minimise the weaknesses in the music business but I always love to hear people express what it is to be human in their art.

That's what it is to be human. We can reach such wonderful heights and yet always need to use the toilet.

brentan comments on Feb 17, 2019:
It was such a strange feeling to be sexually abused as a child. The initial response was bafflement. It took time to rationalise what happened. That wasn't easy in the 1960s and 70s when the whole society was in denial about it. I'm so pleased that it has all come into public knowledge. I can't imagine how many people lost their lives because they couldn't live with themselves as partakers of homosexual sex. Then there were the people whose quality of life was so bad that they were walking dead. I think the perpetrators had no idea that they were ruining lives when they did what they did. If they did, they must have had an outlook on life that was satanic.

brentan comments on Feb 17, 2019:
OK. there are good rich people. Bill Gates might be an example. They give from their excess out of charity. I think they should be required to give from their profits as as a matter of social responsibility. When I say responsibility, I mean the responsibility to give to his employees the recompense they deserve. Then he could think of the public who financed his outrageous wealth. Not out of goodwill. Out of responsibility.

brentan comments on Feb 17, 2019:
I was always intrigued by the difference between the secular view that if enough people didn't like a person, it meant that person was an asshole, but the spiritual view was that if people didn't like a person, it was because that person was on the right road and the others weren't. But how to come to any definite conclusion in a society of people who are all different levels of idiosyncracies, emotional baggage etc? If I were to use this forum as a guide to getting on with people, I think getting on is a matter of similar opinion,s and an extra level of getting on is to forge further agreements that certain people are anathema. It might be fair to say that in this regard, we still operate on the level of primitive tribes.
