Born in Cornwall.
Since 1956 I lived for over 40 years in wales: other than that in the west country. Had a smallholding, and four sons, in west wales for 18years til we split up, then lived alone by the sea for 13 years. Did a lot of sea rowing then...no chance of that now
A couple of years ago i decided to up sticks and move to west yorkshire to be close to one of my sons and his family. Talk about a fish out of water...moving from a flat right on the sea front in Aberaeron, to a 4 storey house in Halifax...70miles from the sea. I don't understand yorkshire yet! ...as I've never lived north of aberaeron and rarely been into northern england.
By trade i am a cabinet maker. I've got an allotment. Walk and cycle. Working on the house. Read.
