I've never tried voyeurism or watching others have sex, but with the right person in a sex club, where the sex does not get too wild or kinky, I could watch. I might also be willing to do public stuff with very little chance of getting caught, such as in a car or in a secluded area where nobody goes or at a time at night where nobody would be around. The circumstances would not be any booze, but the very unlikely chance of getting caught.

I wear concealer now (acne prone skin blegh) and eyebrow liner because I like for my eyebrows to look thicker. I'd say you got away with being VERY minimalist under 40 compared to how many under 40s are right now. I think society has conditioned us to believe that womens' value rests on our appearance and this message is just further reinforced by our daily interactions with other men/women, who seem more interested the better we look. It is a shitty aspect of socialization women endure and makes aging harder for us in some respects. This looks nice too. Not like a bag lady AT ALL.

Yes both parents were/are fckd up. Have you tried the approach used with narcs called grey rock method? "The Gray Rock Method gives you an option of blending in so that you no longer serve as a target for that person. Gray Rock provides a safe and effective way to dull the impact you have around these people, and they will eventually just leave you alone. If you can’t cut them out of your life completely, try separating yourself from them as much as possible. If you need to be in the same room as them, distract yourself with your phone. Don’t be present for conversations. Answer short answers and don’t engage in conversation. At first, they will become frustrated by your inaction, but they’ll eventually see that there is no getting ahead with you and they’ll move on to someone else. If they aren’t getting what they want: satisfaction from hurting other people or manipulating them, they’ll find another source of that satisfaction. When the person enters the room, do your best to just leave. Continue to remind yourself that what they think and do is not a reflection of you and that they can hold all the opinions and thoughts they want. You don’t have to give into any of it. You don’t have to allow them the space in your mind to take over your thoughts. You don’t even have to do much more than just smile and nod at them. You can keep your thoughts and feelings close to your chest – they won’t come looking for them anyway and you get out of the conversation unscathed and feeling like you were in control instead of feeling like you got railroaded by them." I will give you a tip that I have yet to properly apply myself. Get a box and fill it with stuff that brings you joy or happiness; it can be your favourite food or snacks, favourite song(s), fav pictures/paintings, awards or medals or trophies or accolades you received from school or work, a favourite toy or blanket or object that brings you happiness, a letter or card someone wrote you that brought a smile to your face, etc. etc. Decorate the outside of the box with nice wrapping paper or colour the outside with your favourite colours so it stands out from other boxes. When you are feeling depressed and at your worst, retrieve this box of hapiness/comfort to help you along. Hope this helps you with your journey/struggles! :)

I will say one of my best memories is before the toxicity fckd me up and I was able to find simple pleasures in life... so my sister and mother went to visit my grandparents while I was alone with my dad (he fell asleep). So finally it was my chance to do what I saw on cartoons... learn how to fly!! So for those few hours before they came home I kept jumping off of the couch arm and flapping my arms hoping to fly. It didn't work. :p When they came home, I got a doll that my grandma brought back for me from Europe. I still have that doll and that memory to this day.

At my last temp job I was trying to find client information on the software my supervisor barely trained me on and clicked on this section which was apparently where refunds were made (she never bothered to explain this to me prior of course) and she threw a goddam hissy fit. In my experience EVERY time a man has said it too early to me he was being manipulative either in an emotional way to make me believe he cared for me more than he did (or at all with the last one), or in a way to try and manipulate sex/sexual intimacy out of me. I only believed it when it was said to me by my long term ex of 5 years. I could tell it was genuine and heartfelt by how he said it and how he didn't expect anything in return. Some months later I said it back to him as I felt it too. :) Hence my skepticism with guys that say it too soon. Although my bullshit detector has always been spot on with this. With my first high school bf he said it to me while he was aroused (we had not had sex yet) and he said it in spanish, when the boy was not a spanish speaker. A way to distance himself from the words perhaps? I laughed out loud at that one as I knew what he was doing. :)
