Okay so I want to vent about my grandpa for a moment here.
A2Jennifer comments on May 1, 2019:
It must be really frustrating that his shortening his life based on a superstitious belief. But you aren’t going to change his mind, and arguing with him would just ruin the time you have left. So, probably best to treat him like you would if he refused treatment for any other reason.
demifeministgal replies on May 1, 2019:
I never argued with him. I tried reasoning with him when he was in the hospital as did my sister and a doctor. And for a brief time it seemed to work. Until he went on the damn internet and read BS propaganda from laymen and conspiracy theorists and decided he's better off "treating" himself naturally. ffs >:o

@Xuande I'd say it is better to be remembered for something profound and something one has achieved or accomplished (ie einstein, Newton, marie curie, nelson mandela, ghandhi, etc.) than it is to have progeny. After many generations, unless one does an extensive genealogy, you are forgotten. But the likes of Einstein and Newton and the others are yet to be forgotten, kids or no kids. ;)

@Xuande oh yes I am aware that those waiting for adoption, particularily in north america, are older kids and teens. It is actually kinda sad that any POS can easily breed and fck up their own crotch fruit, yet the process of adopting an unwanted child by a loving person is so difficult. In any case, I will leave that up to the kid-loving to take care of. I know that were I to try to breed, the pregnancy would be brutal for my existing health conditions and I'd wager I would resent the lil thing for causing me so much grief and added stress over the course of 9 months. Plus low pain tolerance so fck birth. lol Though I will still do my part via taxes and voting for child-friendly politicians and policies to help other parents and families.

Well as someone who has not been a parent, I was thinking just recently how much money I saved in my life by not having kids. They are really expensive. That being said, despite the grief that comes with some of them, I have never heard a parent say they wish they hadn't had kids.
demifeministgal replies on May 1, 2019:
@Steve_092059 Funnily enough there are more worthless (read abusive) parents out there than people acknowledge. And having kids does not guarantee one will not die alone on their deathbed. And that is a rather selfish reason to have kids in the first place! I don't wanna die alone and have someone to take care of me when I am old and sick. Dafuq. :/

Sweden has THE BEST system for reporting rapes statistically counting rapes in the world. Instead of counting rapes from the same rapist ONCE, they count EACH RAPE from the same rapist as separate incidences. Not to mention, people that never before reported are able to report now and those stats are counted. Plus, they have a much more comprehensive and thorough definition of rape than both US and Canada have, so more victims get counted.

As a guy waaay older than me, I expected him to be more self aware at his age not less self aware. I would never make that a first message to someone though. As I do not look at the technical aspects of a picture and the way the lens takes a picture. So that point is completely irrelevant. I have made first contact with men and never have I been so damn obscure and vague or made a foolish "joke" as he did. I would say that analogy is not a good one. Black lives matter is saying that black lives matter AS WELL or in addition to other lives. Wording matters and the real women have curves thing is crap because it implies that women that do not have curves, some of which may have health issues/problems causing the lack of curves, are not "real women". Plus it reduces women down to nothing but our tits and asses. I think the discrimination does need to be addressed and combated but the execution that was used was crappy and alienating. Not to mention, there are probably alot of autistic elderly or senior people as well, the only difference being they were never DIAGNOSED. So, it is not that the incidence of autistic people has increased, but rather, the diagnosed cases of autistic people has increased due to better diagnostic standards and more testing being administered nowadays.
