I am an educated professional woman who is much more a country girl than urbanite. I like going into the city but would much rather live in the country I own a home and work full time. I am a single mom to a wonderful little girl. I work on an Agile data integration team by day and a work on my little farm nights and weekends. Some of the more non-traditional things that I like are snakes, pet insects, lizards, amphibians, etc. The only living things that I have had contact with that I have strong dislike for are fire ants and brown recluse spiders, oh and newly added a few years ago: little brown scorpions (I accidentally grabbed one with obvious results).

I have been in Columbus, OH for 5 years now and love it here. I am enjoying the cooler weather after nearly 10 previous years in Houston. I have a pair of mutts that look like Anatolian shepherds. They are part Pyrenees, St Bernard, and German shepard. They are now adults and weigh over 100lbs each and are the most awesome dogs ever of course I also have two cats that are about 9 years old and 3.5 horses 30,14, and 17.

I like ballroom and country dancing, scuba, kayaking, horse riding, and swimming. I am a very cautious person but very warm and open personality to those I know well. Biology and understanding the natural world around me are two of my favorite hobbies.

I am a skeptic. TAM 9 was awesome!!! I love science and using the scientific method to approach discovery in every day life.

Also, if you don't like people in any of the LBGTQIA categories, then I don't have any interest in talking to you. Some of my best friends and relatives are in one of those categories and I won't hang with people who insult them.

Update: farrier business is on hold until I get set up here in Ohio and finish having kids. I am very excited to announce that my horse ambulance is done! I am moving the horses to Ohio this year, and will be setting up a new business to transport sick and injured horses.

I have a second part time job working as a farrier using new booting technology and natural trimming. My speciality is working with laminitic and foundered horses. Luckily my dad is an engineer and has built me some great equipment to pick the horses up when they are too lame to stand for trimming.
