Any wine lovers?
ejbman comments on Mar 26, 2018:
Yup! Wine lover here. These days I'm mostly into Pinot Noirs and Malbecs. There's such a wonderful variety, even at the $10 and under level. There's one I tried from our local Costco liquors recently called Line 39 that was like $8 and was reasonably tasty. Have to let it breathe a while first though, as with many Pinots.

So fellas, have you not heard of any of the wonderful kink events hosted in most metro areas? "Lifestyle" often refers to being a member of a public kink scene. The events in these places are often a great way to make friends and possibly even meet play partners or relationship partners. You may also be interested to know that many BDSM communities or venues tend to frown on actual intercourse or sex in public (depending: some do, some don't) and for those, it's mostly about doing power exchange, rope play, fire play, electro play, impact play, bondage play, etc. Make sense?

ejbman comments on Mar 26, 2018:
Yup! We have a group for us: https://agnostic.com/group/KinkyLife I know for me, it took me a long time to get past my religious (Roman Catholic) upbringing and accept my sexual self. But once I got over the speed bumps, I never looked back!

What's your take on Fetish and kinky life styles and their craziness?
ejbman comments on Mar 26, 2018:
My take on Fetish and kiny life styles is as much as I can get! LOL. I'm a Daddy Dom in a semi-open relationship with my babygirl. Couldn't be happier with finally finding my sexual niche. It's taken me years. Sadly, early religious upbrining hindered me quite a bit in finding out who I am, but, better late than never.
Sorry, political

Worth it.
Gotta loose that weight man. Whatever it takes.

Yeah, if you take off the extra H, you'll lose a lot of weight drinking it! (Note: do not try at home).

Hello! I am not a mental health professional, but I do use counseling services a lot.
ejbman comments on Mar 25, 2018:
Thanks for that link. I had actually not been aware of the Secular Therapy Project before another member posted in here the other day. I just registered myself after seeing that post. Sorry you've had trouble finding a counselor who can meet your needs. In my area, there's a closed Facebook group for counselors to refer clients to one another or find resources, and there are about 1,500 on there of every stripe. Sometimes there's a request for a secular therapist or Christian counseling or what have you. I wonder if you called around your area whether one or more of the counselors are part of something like that in your area and could help you locate someone who is a better fit for you (I'm thinking, in addition to the seculartherapy.org website). In any case, thanks again for the link, and I wish you luck in getting what you need!

What percentage of your relationships are you “out” as an atheist?
ejbman comments on Mar 23, 2018:
I can't think of anyone who doesn't know. I suppose there might be a handful of people at my day job who don't know, only because they haven't been around when I talk about it. I don't think there's anyone from whom I've made an effort to hide it.

Have you ever met a "flat earther"?
ejbman comments on Mar 22, 2018:
I met one in an online forum. It was incredibly frustrating to try and converse with this person because there were no reasonble standards of evidence we could agree upon. Everything was a conspiracy or secret collusion to hide the truth to this guy. Very disappointing.
Hello World! New to the site.

ejbman comments on Mar 21, 2018:
You might be interested in a book by Sam Harris (no less than one of the "four horsemen of atheism") who wrote: WAKING UP: A Guide to Spirituality Without Religion. He is very much against belief in anything supernatural but definites spirituality as something like varieties of conscious experience. It's worth a read.
I deleted all my adopted family off Facebook beside my mom.

That's got to be tough and heartbreaking, but they are definitely in the wrong for failing to accept you. Here's hoping you enjoy warm, close friendships with people who like, appreciate, and accept you for who you are. Seems like you are getting lots of support from folks here. Adding my hugs and support!
There is no agnostic vs. atheist! The peeve I have...
ejbman comments on Mar 21, 2018:
As you may see from my profile, I identify as philosophically agnostic (can't know for sure) but culturally atheist (not worth my time to consider gods). So there's my reconciliation of the two ;-) It's sort of like my attitude towards Bigfoot: I suppose it's possible that there's one out there, but I just don't feel compelled to spend any time looking, because I've got better things to do with my life.
Dating a believer
ejbman comments on Mar 21, 2018:
I have had successful relationships with people who are spiritual but not religious, and who accept me as I am as well. My current relationship falls in this category. It's not something we discuss very much, and it's just not a big part of our lives. That seems to work just fine.
