@WilliamFleming Tell that to the "Cult" who are currently calling themselves the U.S, Senate (Republican Party). Are they trying to work toward a future where all Americans are treated with respect? If so, then why are they helping this New York City Mafia Don Paranoid Schizophrenic Talk Show Host con artist use the Country as his own personal Ego defense mechanism? What do they (virtually all from Southern States) stand to get out of destroying what everybody keeps telling me is the greatest country in the world? It isn't Donald Trump who is tearing up our Constitution. It is them with the help of Russia and others! They are bitter from being the ones who lost their precious "Confederacy of Greed" 170 years ago and have been trying to "Rise Again" ever since. Wake up, America! The trouble with the average American is that they know, and are told nothing about what lies outside their own nationalistic "Father Land". I have lived in four other countries but mainly in Spain (which was under a fascist Dictator for 40 years and will never forget what it was like) If you want to see what this country really is, you have to step away from it, The average American knows nothing about anything outside their boarders. We don't even see International news on TV anymore. I'll grant you the South does not have a monopoly on bigotry and we all have a lot to learn about respect for all people, but we are not the "United States" anymore, and never were.

He has control of two and 1/2 branches of government and it's just starting. THIS COUNTRY IS FUCKED and there is nothing anybody can do about it. At least Bernie is trying. Also, remember Trump telling us in 2015 he's financing his campaign with his own money. Yeah, right! He never paid for anything with his own money. Even his golfing trips to Maralago cost US nearly $200,000,000 last year! At least Bernie (who doesn't have money) uses grass-roots funding and sticks to his message instead of proffering whatever is currently popular with his doting base. BTW, according to a recent (Washington Post?) pole, He, Biden and Blumberg are currently running at around 70-75% national projection to beat Trump, but that's only if it's a real, honest election, so don't hold your breath.

This reminds me of a time when I was riding in a car with other people. One man rolled down the window and threw a wadded up piece of paper out of it. I asked why he threw litter on the ground. He replied that Jesus is coming soon, and the world's going to burn up, anyway, so what difference does it...

Interesting anecdote. What a way to transmogrify his understanding of religion. Even I, an agnostic, live by the one "Golden Rule" that his Jesus taught. That is the only lesson the so called Christians need, and the only one they reject!

They don't even care about their 'soul". At the heart of the NEW Republican Party is the Southern Christian Evangelical movement, and they use Christianity the way Trump uses the words "believe me". The dogma they have been fed all their lives is nothing more than rhetoric they learned by rote and if they can't even apply it to respect for an oath to uphold the Constitution, I guess the planet their "god" created in seven days isn't worth any more respect.

To me that sounds almost as vulnerable to theft and mail fraud and duplication and other such interference as voting on computers. The old mechanical voting machines I grew up with worked great and were virtually tamper-proof. Either use them or a box with a slot. Furthermore, people say the new electronic voting machines are a closed circuit, and maybe so, but the results have to be sent out to be tabulated and can be intercepted at that juncture. Computer technology is destroying our lives and institutions.
