freedom41 comments on Sep 27, 2018:
You are so right on with your post.
What simple thing bothers you the most in this current society?
freedom41 comments on Sep 25, 2018:
What bothers me about society is summed up by everyone who commented before me. Maybe , if everyone was enlightened as we are. Maybe society would be better off.
2000 year old warning.
freedom41 comments on Sep 25, 2018:
People call Obama the anti christ, based on closed minded info. Trump fits the bill more of that title, but there is still fools that think he is great. I don't buy into the title that I stated in this post, but pointing out something that people in messed up country went on an rant about. I hope there is not enough fools left in this country to vote him in for an second term.
Some people are just born into a lucky life while others aren’t? True or false?
freedom41 comments on Sep 24, 2018:
false. Luck doesn't have much to do with ones life. I believe your dealt the hand that random chance gives you. For some people there is no way out of ones disadvantages in life. I wish I had a better life, but that is what random chance has dealt me. I'm glad I found this community and enjoying my journey down the path of enlightenment. One of the biggest disadvantages of life is being religious and closed minded.
Opposite beliefs in a relationship
freedom41 comments on Sep 24, 2018:
Keep the communication going in the relationship. You might find some more common ground and find an solution. May I ask , what religion was he and and what religion did he go to?

Do you think there should be a high school course to teach common sense laws to teenagers?

Thinking for myself is greatest thing I can practice. Dogma free is the place to be, along with meditation. Life is to short to not be yourself.

freedom41 comments on Sep 22, 2018:
It shows your dedication to our community. I'm still trying to roll over the 10000 point mark to reach level 7. Maybe, I will by the end of next month.

freedom41 comments on Sep 21, 2018:
A very nice display of pride.
Too much religion is about hate.
freedom41 comments on Sep 21, 2018:
One of reasons I'm no longer a christain is how they treat the gay community. That is just wrong.
I could use some words of wisdom, friends.
freedom41 comments on Sep 19, 2018:
Keep writing the stuff down and at some point go higher up in the company and present your findings. If that don't work, then seek other employment or hire a lawyer. That's not right how they treat you. This is the 21st century, not the 19th.
Have you ever felt like your life was a book written in a language you don't understand?
freedom41 comments on Sep 19, 2018:
Yes for most of my adult life.
What is your response when people threaten you with religious punishments? (i.e. Hell/Jahannam)
freedom41 comments on Sep 19, 2018:
I would blow them off and go among my business. How I live my life now is none of there concern. Imaginary things can't hurt you.
Has anybody ever gone numb emotionally?
freedom41 comments on Sep 18, 2018:
That's practically a daily thing for me. Lifes journey isn't easy and ponder what's next to continue the journey.
Was becoming atheist difficult?
freedom41 comments on Sep 18, 2018:
It took awhile for me to except there was no god and religion is bs. When your family believes one sects way is the correct way to believe in fairy tales and closed minded about letting people of there family to explore another sect of christainity. Since, all sects of christainity are almost the same, why have anything to do with them at all. It's nice to think for myself and not to be held back silly guide lines.
Would you settle with a religious person or just stay single?
freedom41 comments on Sep 17, 2018:
I might marry a religious person. Providing we can find common groud and person doesn't try to convert me back to the bs during the whole marriage. Life is petty lonely without a partner.
What are your views on marriage?
freedom41 comments on Sep 16, 2018:
It means 2 people have found each other and want spend the rest of there lives together. There are humanists weddings which takes out all the religious bs. Which means you don't set foot in those dogma buildings to get married. The way it should be. I will not get married without a prenup. Given my track record it would be an good idea. Just shacking up works for me, because I don't want children and won't have worry about the name thing.
Job satisfaction.
freedom41 comments on Sep 16, 2018:
No, it's not were I want to be. If I could work civilized hours all year , it would be closer a good job. I hate working over nights to cover the other guys vacation time.
What happens to your spirt / mind when you die?
freedom41 comments on Sep 16, 2018:
No where. There is nothing after death.
Are you happy enough?
freedom41 comments on Sep 15, 2018:
I'm happier as atheist than I was religious. Free from the bs of religion lifted a great weight off of me.
What would you say to God if when you died you were faced with him?
freedom41 comments on Sep 15, 2018:
Why don't you do something about the fouled up world? Why do you frown on gay people? Aren't they your children to.
Any recovering Southern Baptists out there?
freedom41 comments on Sep 15, 2018:
On ocassion I do. I try to block it out and hope it wouldn't happen again. Knowing I'm free from the evil religion . Religion created a number of issues for me.
Could we admit that Buddhism is a religion where God is irrelevant?
freedom41 comments on Sep 15, 2018:

Raised Atheist or left a religion?
freedom41 comments on Sep 14, 2018:
I left religion nearly 7 months ago. I was raised baptist by parents and considered becoming catholic until I decided become enlightened. And joined this community friendly and honest free thinkers. I mentioned this in several other posts that I wish I left the dark years ago or raised as a non believer. Religion is why I a number of issues.

Is it OK to be racist against white people?
freedom41 comments on Sep 13, 2018:
NO, it's not ok. Not all white people are the same. Some of us are enlightened people, that see past race, sexual preference, etc. and don't have religion clouding perception of the world.
Has a certain song ever sounded faster than usual to you on the radio?

I am a special educator who shares a room with 6 people who are married with children.
freedom41 comments on Sep 13, 2018:
Sounds like a good plan to me. Not everyone needs children to give there live meaning. I think they are a waste of time.
Will things in the world continue to get better?
freedom41 comments on Sep 13, 2018:
I doubt we will see things get better in our life time. If, we had more people care about the planet and less religious fools. Then it might get better.
Hello, happy to have found this unique site.
freedom41 comments on Sep 13, 2018:
Welcome to the community. I hope you find every thing you looking here.
How did religion affect you personally?
freedom41 comments on Sep 12, 2018:
Religion showed me that is ok to be a hypcit and be ashamed that I'm attracted to men. yes, I'm still overcoming pieces of my religious upbringing, since I have only been an atheist for little less than 7 mos. I would tell that you should look at science , how world is so messed up, and all the contridictions in the bible. Also tell them only fools believe in god or any other deity.
Christian values.
freedom41 comments on Sep 12, 2018:
That's more proof that christains are biggest hypocites in the world. They claim that we are all gods children. I think that is one of the biggest lies they ever told to the gulable .
How parents act on their religious beliefs linked to the onset of atheism in their children
freedom41 comments on Sep 11, 2018:
Since, it was crammed down my throat growing up, becoming an atheist was the next logical step. Since, my mother implied I was going to hell if I became an catholic. (Most of my family are baptists) That was last straw and I deserve to live my life as I see fit.
Superstition
freedom41 comments on Sep 11, 2018:
The one about finding about finding pennies heads up. I know that is bunch of bs. I wonder if that was made up by religious fools. One day I found 6 of 8 pennies heads up and co worker I couldn't stand showed up for work any way.
:::::::facepalm::::::::::::::::::::
freedom41 comments on Sep 11, 2018:
That's a good reason not poop out sex trophies. I will put that on my list of why I don't want children.
Just curious, what is the highest level you can get here?? I am level 6.6 ... what about you?
freedom41 comments on Sep 11, 2018:
I'm at level 6.7. I think when I reached 7,000 points, my level went an tenth every 600 points. I should be at level 6.8 with 280 points or so. I will happy at level 7. Since, it's taken awhile to get there. I'm curious of the perks of that level are.
Happily single—or not?
freedom41 comments on Sep 11, 2018:

freedom41 comments on Sep 11, 2018:

While in your teens did you see your current age as old?
freedom41 comments on Sep 11, 2018:
Yes, I did. Now that I reached it, It isn't so bad. As long as no one talks down to me with judge a book by it's cover philosphy or tattles on me because think I"m lying about my age.
How did you become an Atheist/Agnostic.etc?
freedom41 comments on Sep 11, 2018:
I became agnostic/atheist gradually over last 10 years or so. if we are "gods children", why do frown gay people and others that don't fit the mold. Since, the world is so messed up has to be biggest proof there is no god. the bible is full of contridictions which the fools except. I have never believed in ghosts etc. Plus, I haven't put christmas decorations in 3 years. The biggest push was my mother implying I would go hell if I became an catholic. She and most my family are baptists. Agnostics/atheists are opened mind and rational people. Nobody in here has a problem that I'm attracted to men.

freedom41 comments on Sep 11, 2018:
I know 8 out of 10 those reasons apply to my life. I'm glad they do. It would be great if our numbers grew and put religious fools into hiding. I wish I would have left dark side decades ago.
What do you guys think.
freedom41 comments on Sep 11, 2018:
I'm sorry for your loss. Run away jw bs. You will be better off. JW is most messed religion in christainity. Followed by the mormons and catholics.

freedom41 comments on Sep 11, 2018:
I don't see having children as an accomplishment. I see them as drain on my bank account. Plus, I don't want listen to winening and crying they do.
Where do you find meaning?
freedom41 comments on Sep 10, 2018:
The meaning I have found is knowing I'm free from the bs of religion/god. I have accepted that there is nothing after death and live life to the fullest.
Jehovah's Withnesses
freedom41 comments on Sep 9, 2018:
They are most hated cult of them all. I let them say there piece and send them on there way. Even the christain sects will have nothing to do with them. I think they centered there beliefs one little section of the bible and hope they more suckers for there cause.
Time to tithe
freedom41 comments on Sep 9, 2018:
That is sad, but true. The catholic cult is the most greedy of the christain cults as far as I"M concerned. Followed by the mormon cult.
Missed it by a day.
freedom41 comments on Sep 9, 2018:
if it wasn't for original series, there would be no Next Generation, Voyager, or DS9. It showed humanity can change for better without religion.
When and how did you figure out religion was BS?
freedom41 comments on Sep 8, 2018:
I questioned if there was a god and religion is bs when I was in my early 30s. I started to see how christains treaded gay people and others that didn't fit the mold. I considered becoming an atheist in my early 30s, but chickened out. I do wish I found the courage in early 30s to become an atheist like I have in my early 40s. It sure would have been easier to find a partner no what gender they might be. I'm proud to say I love to marry a man if it came to be. I'm a little ashamed to admit I was considering becoming a pastor in my late 20s. I'm glad I avoided that train wreck.
When do you feel safe to talk about your beliefs/nonbeliefs?
freedom41 comments on Sep 8, 2018:
We should be respectful to others believes. It might cause them to commit suicide or some other crazy stunt. We should gently convince them to leave the land of fairy tales and join us in reality.
God is Santa Clause for adults!
freedom41 comments on Sep 8, 2018:

freedom41 comments on Sep 8, 2018:

Are you an open or closet agnostic/atheist, and why?
freedom41 comments on Sep 8, 2018:
I'm an closet atheist. I'm afraid that my parents will take me out of the will. Not mention all bagering I would get from them and other believers. I hope to come out one of these days.
When to switch primarily identifying as an Agnostic to Atheist?
freedom41 comments on Sep 8, 2018:
When you feel comfortable with the title of atheist. I was comfortable with title immediatly after I accepted there is no god and religion is for fools, 6 1/2 months ago.
So.
freedom41 comments on Aug 30, 2018:
Maybe they will add it in the near future. That would be helpful in choosing a special someone.

freedom41 comments on Aug 10, 2018:
