Almost all the fossils here are 250-290 million years old. About 90 miles away the pauluxy river is in the 70-90 million years strata, I hasve lots of amonites, shells, sand dollars and the like.

@Heidi68 they are wrought with setbacks, but well worth it the years you get a return on investment. fertilize during the growing season and remove at least 2/3 of the fruit during the early stages. any deformed fruit, remove as soon as you see it, then remove it in stages to allow the best fruit to get the most nutrients. Your first pass after the fruit has set will be the hardest, emotionally. Once you get past that stage, every two weeks thin the fruit some more.

@Sheannutt I was in Mont Belvieu, they weren't as messy as chickens and about the same food to meat ratio to raise.
A friend raises rabbits. I joked, are you going to sell them to magicians?
glennlab comments on Mar 28, 2019:
I used to raise rabbits, only named the breeders, the others weren't going to around long enough for names.

Bussines opportunity..... A scrambler to block carrier's signal in designated spaces like restaurants, where patrons would know up front there is no phone coverage so they can enjoy personal time. It may look compelling to some
glennlab replies on Mar 28, 2019:
@IamNobody I worked in a facility that had a farady cage around it, no radio signals in or out, no microwave, no TV or any other EM signals could get in. All radios and transmitters had to be checked at the door. The facility was designed in the 1940s and to this day is still effective.

@IamNobody It is a violation of others rights to the airwaves and would require congrssional action. Because it is an indiscriminate block, airwaves that others have already paid a fee to access are being denied. plus you have emergency response that is also blocked as well as the govt channels that are needed for law enforcement. The list goes on and on.

@Sheannutt His was the first gubenatorial election(La) I remember and they played that poor song to death. On just about every venue, speaker cars going up and down the streets for the 2 weeks before the election were the worst. It was years before i could even listen to the first few bars without shutting down.
Every so often, this particular topic comes up.

It's the topic that never goes away and it's starting to piss me off. If you really think about it, it's a form of control -- *how dare you not let me see what you look like!* I even had one gentleman threaten to turn me in for fraud because I'm using Rue McClanahan's photo. In the past, I've ...

Did the grill show up ? Inquiring minds want to know... oh and yeah I’m not a morning person either but so I get it
glennlab replies on Mar 27, 2019:
The grill got here, the box was damaged, so inspection time, nothing that was worth returning it over. Since I am going to be on the road off and on for the next month it would have been June for a different delivery date. Now I either have to assemble it or clear a spot in the garage for it. The delivery guy put it on my cart, so moving it around won't be a problem until I put it together. I've got a guy that will come and get my old grill and recycle it, I hate that it is almost as expensive to repair as to replace and I use mine a lot.

@Zoohome He is staying with a friend of mine until the end, she is a vet tech and knows so much more about how to deal with end of life issues. I visit about once a week and he is doing so much better. Each summer for the last three, I was pretty sure it would be his last. With her help he may make a few more.
