We heavily restrict automobiles, they must be licensed, registered and inspected annually. We heavily restrict drivers of all motor vehicles they must be licensed, obey traffic laws and are subject to retesting and revocation for cause. Why should the number one cause of childhood death not have similar restrictions? What is wrong with requiring gun owners to be licensed, tested and insured?

I have way too many questions. I worked with the Secret Service advance teams for on base visits by Nixon, Ford and Carter. Those guys leave nothing to chance. Yes they are a small team, but they use all the local resources available and even call in additional resources from surrounding counties if they have to. They do have many snipers and place them on the best locations, so why wasn't one on the very rooftop the gunman chose? The snipers generally have takeout on sight as soon as a weapon is observed, so why did it take them so long to spot him? Local LEOs are miced into the SS control center and they had spotted him before he started shooting, why didn't the SS control not forward the location and threat? Why was Trump not taken out as soon as LEOs told the SS of the threat? That's just the beginning.

And all along I thought he’d be attacked by a shark first….

There is no telling what will be in the final bill after it goes to the senate, and since it is an appropriations bill, there is a good chance that it will not take effect until sometime in 2025. They will only not use the numbers from the Gaza health dept. The numbers have been suspect from the beginning, but they were better than nothing. These type of amendments are typically throwaway amendments to give up in negotiations with the senate. The bill has not even been sent to the senate for committee assignment, long way to go before anything happens .
