It has been a plank in every major party platform since the turn of the 20th century. Reagan was the last time meaningful immigration reform was passed, due to non enforcement of the previous immigration statutes by his administration. Since2008, not one single republican has voted for an immigration bill. Your understanding of US politics is just as bad as your understanding of US history. The President is the chief law enforcement officer, but can only enforce laws with the money that has been given to him by congress. Just like Australia, politicians don't have a problem with white immigration, they have a problem with brown, black and yellow immigration.

I pay next to no attention to anything they put out except for entertainment value. Their initial purpose was to deny Trump reelection, something they may have contributed to. Their new purpose is to deny him the republican nomination and failing that the presidency. If they attempt anything beyond that, then I will do something. When your enemies are fighting and destroying each other, do not get in their way .

I have been a political operative since the 1980s. Every election, some group is trying to gain power and drag down someone else. You form short term alliances knowing full well that as soon as the election cycle is over, you will both most likely go your own way and in a few rare circumstances have a lasting alliance. Depending on the election I have been involved with disaffected republicans, libertarians, christians and others that while I did not agree with most of what they believe, we had a useful alliance for this election. @puff We have removed hundreds of nuclear weapons from Europe, we used to have more weapons in just Turkey and Greece than we do now in all of Europe. The weapons now are smaller and more accurate. That said, those bombs were made in the 1960s and 70s, their guidance systems have been upgraded, but they are still bombs. The weight of the US nuclear force is not in the paltry forward based weapons, but in our ICBM, SLBMs and manned bomber fleets as well as the ready retired reserve. Nuclear is not a threat unless the US or her allies are struck first.

@Betty No thanks, I remember the frozen north, my last winter in Spokane we had 3 weeks with the high below 0 F and lows of -30F. I just saw where Montana set a new records across the state with some -45F. So I real;ly don't miss it. I was just checking out Puerto Rico for a weather change.

@Betty Some people dress in layers, I sleep in layers. The bleed heat from the rest of the house keeps it tolerable, but it gives me an incentive to get dressed after the morning bathroom visit.

@Betty I have different ones for lower temps. Light fleece ones for year round, somewhat heavier once3 it gets below 40, then the heavy wool once it gets in the teens and twenties. I haven't had to break out the heavy wool one yet this winter.

Last Feb 13th I had my shoulder replaced. While today the outcome is just fine, it was a Rough recovery. So, whatever happens this Feb.13th will no doubt seem like a day at the beach!!!!!!

@Betty, @Cyberpunk2027, @annewimsey1 I had my left one done in August, They warned me after the surgery that it would be a long road back. I'm still doing weights for strength, but I have about 95-97% mobility. Within a month I had more mobility than I had had in the year since I had broken it.

Still at home in bed! It was a beautiful 4 days off!
