I believe I can find a reason for anything that happened, even if it only wrong place wrong time. I also believe that the odds of anything that has already happened no matter how strange are exactly one to one, all of the coincidences in the universe converged at that moment for it to happen. I never try to read tooo much into random chance.

First you need a larger pot. 10-20 gallons. They are biennial so it takes 2 years to get fruit. Keep the soil moist, full sun. They reproduce by putting out suckers, these can either be left on the trunk or transplanted for more plants. If it is not producing suckers within 6-9 months, it is not happy. When it flowers you will need to move it outdoors for pollination, wasps pollinate bananas, once the stalk has finished blooming and the bananas are roughly a uniform size, cut the stalk off and trim the plant level with the ground. The bananas will ripen if hung. If you leave them on the plant they will wither and become inedible.
