From talking to several legislators, while they may be willing to vote for it, so far i haven't met one willing to propose the legislation or go on record voting for it. They would like if the legislation meanders through the process and gets lumped into the crush of bills passed by a voice vote at the end of the session to give all of them a little political cover. Either that or if the Baptist church would get behind legalization they wouldn't have to worry as much about blow back. Austin will be fun this session.
