Rumored: Trump will pardon everyone who has been or who will be convicted of a federal crime.
EMC2 comments on Dec 1, 2020:
Well for this very reason we are not discussing going after Trump One can only be pardoned of a crime and that crime must be defined. To pardon someone from something they have not been indicted for is not possible. Mike Flynn was pardoned of his convictions , not what he thought about.
glennlab replies on Dec 1, 2020:
You are so very wrong, as long as the period of time is specifiied and has expired, a president can pardon anyone for any federal crime know and unknown. see Ford's pardon of Nixon. Accepting a pardon does not require you to admit guilt. It does set that person up to be required to testify in the future since anything that they say cannot be used to convict them so no 5th amendment exclusion.

Several things, modify the 1906 law that limits the house to 435 members and apportion house members based on the population of the smallest state. When a state has morte than 1.5 times the population of the smallest state, they get 2 reps, If the states population is several multiples of the smallest state, normal rounding rules apply. This would increase the size of the house and would mean that they would need more office space. But a small price to pay for equal representation. The interstate compact, states promise their electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote, this only kicks inb when enough states have ratified it to guarranttee an electoral majolrity (270). glennlab replies on Nov 28, 2020:
@LucyLoohoo Both the Clinton's and Bush's had their run ins with the curator, both lost. The 1961 law is pretty specific about what they can do. Gifts to the president from anyone are concidered gifts to the people of the US not the president of first lady. Any gift over $25 must be accounted for. Any gift from the president to a foreign dignitary is paid for by the US any gift to private citizens must be paid for either personally by the president or his campaign committee. I kind of hopes he takes something and refuses to pay or return it, that doesn't become crime until he leaves office. The whitehouse is one of the few museums in DC that I haven't been to. I normally had to go there in Aug-Sept and there is no way i was waiting outside in that temp and humidity.

glennlab replies on Nov 28, 2020:
@LucyLoohoo It was decl;ared a museum in 1961, since then every item in the Whitehouse has been inventoried an accounted for by the curator at the end of every administration. Any items missing, and not declared as gifts that they have paid for has been requested to be returned. No one knows what the museums reaction to an unreturned item may be since it has never occured before. Every president since JFK has had to return at least one item. It is a felony to remove items without authorization and only the curator can authorize it.

We never had a "*kids' table*" growing up. Is it an American think? Or is it just because we didn't have a huge family?
glennlab replies on Nov 24, 2020:
Yes to both. My dad had 3 sisters and 2 had 5 children each, so my brother an I made 12 kids at my grandparents house for turkey day.

glennlab replies on Nov 23, 2020:
@RoyMillar The Egyptians were the first to document it and it was a common practice up until around the Christian takeover of the Roman empire around 300 CE. Shepherds had been using a more effective means to keep their female camels from getting pregnant by placing stones into their cervix.
