What do you consider gumbo?
glennlab replies on Oct 15, 2020:
for me it has to have okra, rue, some veggies, thick rue, all the meats should have previously been cooked and chilled (except seafood), then slow cooked for several hours to fully infuse the flavors. best served over still steaming rice.
As a Cajun, I can verify the truth of this statement
Lizard_of_Ahaz comments on Oct 15, 2020:
Why is it the only spice Cajuns seem to know about is Cayenne Pepper?... That stuff is hotter coming out than going in....
glennlab replies on Oct 15, 2020:
@Lizard_of_Ahaz if used properly, it adds heat and flavor, if over used it just adds heat and overpowers all other flavors.
Which do you prefer?

That is by far not the only spice they know or use, it is one that a lot of fakers add and just call it cajun.
Yes! And you said it was sheepdogging! :-D

This is an hypothesis, not yet a theory.

Sorry, but it is a theory and the math goes a long way. The theorem it is based on date to the 1990s
Who has heard of this person Shiela Samm she is running for the presidency (constitution party)?
glennlab comments on Oct 13, 2020:
We have had as many as 20 so called independent presidential candidates on the Texas ballot in years past, because of ballot access costs, states have tried to limit the number of presidential choices. The filing fee or voter threshold for ballot access has limited these vote drainers. Most never ...
glennlab replies on Oct 13, 2020:
@azzow2 The electoral college is in the constitution so no amount of litigation can abolish it. There is a move by several state legislatures to pledge their elctoral votes to whoever gets a majority of the popular vote, but the legislation only kicks in once enough states have have joined to achieve an electoral majority. Super delegates only apply to political conventions and have no impact on voting for office except to chose a presidential ticket. ranked choice or instant runnoff you vote for a first second and third chioce. If no one gets 50%+1, the person with the least amount of votes votes are redistibuted based on their # 2, this goes on with th last place finisher until there are only 2 left or 1 person get's 50%+1

@azzow2 it would require a change in our form of government. Our first past the post method of election requires 50%+1, even ranked choice voting only allows for limited protest voting and with mixed results.
