@Budgie I started doing some reseach, there are special hybrids that are specifically for the tropic/subtopical areas, also You need a 15-20 gallon container (60-80 L) a little larger than we need here. With tomatoes started from seed, plant them as neart the bottom of the pot as you can, back fill with soil/mix as they grow, that will give you a much more robust root system.

didn't say anything about pesticides, "organic", Deathcap mushrooms are 100% organic and natural, but one bite will likely cause death. Organic has no meaning except higher price, not less/no pesticde, not no chemical fertilizer, not even sustainably grown. Little to no regulation as to what can be called organic in most of the country.

@JackPedigo It is a difficult question to answer, is it better to eat hydroponicly grown food where we know no pesticides were used or from an organic farm where the farmer next door uses glyphosate regularly and no one knows. The statement was organic is bullshit, because depending on the state you live in it can mean anything from no artifical means of production at all on this plot of land for several years to we didn't spay too many pesticides on it this year. I am a very stong advocate of limiting all pesticide applications to the minimum amount needed. I don't have any answers, it is a far more complex problem than my pay grade.

No, organic is a total misnomer, it is used for many things that are not chemcal free or raised in a sustainable way. I try to use the example that deathcap mushrooms are 100% organic and natural, but 1 bite will most likely kill you. Organic is taken to mean so many different things to so many different people that it has no true meaning any longer.

I was orginally going to use septic tank pipe since it already has pre-drilled holes. As I was looking up the materials, this popped up. The one thing that really surprised me was the size of the pump. 3 GPH. I have a 300 gph to give me a current, so That was one mistake I didn't make. Goldfish make the best fertilizer fish, they're cheap, no cold sensitivity, will eat squash, and feed off of the algae on the walls of the tank. In the past as well as this time, I let the fish set up their chemistry before I start scrubbing the water with plants. If you have questions, I'll try to help. After 40 years of ponds, I learn something new every season, and I still make some mistakes.

Not only do you save it, it comes in handy for a multitude of other projects. There is normally a couple of years between storms, so it play hell keeping track. When i lived on the coast, I had precut. numbered sheets with anchor bolts coming out of the house. I inspected them every June and replaced the ones i had used over the winter/spring. There were still last minute things that needed to be done, and just because everything looked good in June didn't mean it would still be good when you needed it.

I will paraphrase Mitt Romney, the only reason a politician would not release his taxes is if he has something to hide. Trump has much to hide from money laundering, illegal campaign contributions, self dealing, tax fraud, tax evasion, to illegal business activity.
