smart man
I've had a productive weekend and look forward to the next 2 weeks.

Strawberry and mango wine?! That should be delectable! Let me know how it turns out...
glennlab replies on Mar 10, 2020:
@Cutiebeauty That is a legal definition, the max content is 23%. The yeast naturally dies at that percentage. Winemakers make sure that the sugar content is lower and use sulfites to kill the yeast when it gets near 12%, home brewers are not limited by the legal conventions.

glennlab replies on Mar 10, 2020:
@Cutiebeauty Flavor is mild, the alcohol is strong. I've gotten my wines up to 22% alcohol, near the limit of where you can get wines up to. The fun in wine making is experimenting to get it a little better each time. I'm not a purist, but I refuse to use sufites to stop the fermentation. The smaller batches allow me to screw up smaller amounts at a time.

glennlab replies on Mar 10, 2020:
The first tasting went well, the mango is super stong, but also super thick, i think it will make a dessert appertief versus a wine. Both wines are working well so I should be ready to bottle in 5 weeks.
Happy Tuesday! What's your relationship with taxes?
MichelleGar1 comments on Mar 10, 2020:
I had a friend who would do mine since it's complicated but since I have been in a relationship he wasn't happy about it now I'm going to do it myself! I will learn something new!

@PondartIncbendog They have improved in the last 40 years and i am a life member of the VFW now. I was responding to the welcome I got in 1973 when I first tried to join not to the welcome I got 15 years later when they were hard pressed for members since we had had only very limited engagements that allowed for new mwembers until the first Gulf War then 9/11. The current VFW is much more concerned with vets than the WWII and Korean War VFW was.

glennlab replies on Mar 8, 2020:
@azzow2 it is the "if it bleeds, it leads" mentality they really don't care about the panic, they care about the eyes on the set, the same reason the tease always runs in the last 2 minutes of the news.

I just wonder why these people weren't washing their hands before. I have traveled with hand sanitizer and wet wipes since my son was a baby. The only thing I'm going to add to my console pack is a hand soap dispenser since I already have a roll of paper towels in the car.

glennlab replies on Mar 8, 2020:
Since the memorial is going to be in Denton, I'll go to Winstar, I've got to go through my casino mail and pull out the comps for this week. I don't do a lot of gambling in OK, normally Las Vegas or Bossier City are my destinations of choice. I find you win more often in the Indian casinos, but the wins are smaller and the turn over is actually less.

Wow, you are getting a lot done. What about Democratic primaries on TV?
glennlab replies on Mar 8, 2020:
With all the problems they are having, I just look up the results the day after. Nothing for me to actually do until senatorial convention on 3/21 then state conention in June. Oh and the runoff for Senate, one of my friends, Royce West is in the runnoff against MJ Hagler. I'll pitch in for him to see if we can unsear Cornyn.

Y'all I just noticed I took a picture of my finger! 🤣🤣🤣 guess that is what happens when it is bright out and you post without reviewing your work 🤣🤣🤣
glennlab replies on Mar 8, 2020:
When I save my pictures, I copy the entire chip, flaws and all for that date. Then I edit and put them in a new folder, leaving all the f'ed up originals to remind me that no matter how good what I ended up is, I still need tons of humility to go with it. The way you get those few great pictures is you take a ton of pictures and only show the really good ones.

@IrishTxJudy Old cajun with a hand grinder told me that you gind it until it gives you bitter coffee, then back off a little bit on the next grid and add a pinch of salt. Of course with that coffee you could only use a spoon once since the coffee disolved it.
