Does anyone else become more afraid of the outcome as election day approaches?
glennlab comments on Oct 30, 2020:
The fear is real, no one has ever tried to game an election like this. Texas early voting surpassed the total 2016 turnout, turnout in heavily democratic area nationwide is up, but we don't know how many of these are Covid early votes

Voter suppression much?
glennlab comments on Oct 27, 2020:
It may not help them we are on a pace to record in person voting. From the Texas Tribune 4 hours ago 10/27/2020 In all, 46% of Texas registered voters voted early through Monday, according to numbers released Tuesday by the Texas secretary of state. In 2016, the previous high-water mark, 43.5% of registered voters cast ballots during the entire early voting period. More than 85% of ballots have been cast in person. Voting in Texas The raw total of votes cast through Monday was 7.8 million, 1.2 million more than the 6.6 million who cast ballots early in all of 2016 and 87% of the total number of votes cast in the state during the last presidential election. There are 1.8 million more registered voters in Texas than in 2016, a 12.3% increase. But the percentage turnout indicates that population increases alone can’t account for the high number of early voters in the state

glennlab comments on Oct 25, 2020:
We have already eclipsed early voting totals from 2016 in Texas, with 5 more days of early voting. We could exceed the 2016 total voter turnout at this rate in just early voting. Thank you for voting, anyone that can early vote, should. History has it that the higher the vote count, the better the odds that the Democrats will win.

glennlab comments on Oct 23, 2020:
Similar to alligator season in Fla, TX and La. The animals have recovered and now need to be managed. Better to die from a shotgun blast than to starve to death. In the 70s I helped with some of the recovery efforts in eastern Wa, the three counties in far north Idaho plan to only thin the flocks. I am no longer a hunter, but I do understand the need for wildlife management. On the other hand based on their previous history the Idaho Department of Fish and Game probably jumped too soon.

glennlab comments on Oct 23, 2020:
Many of the polling place workers are paid by the campaigns they are representing and are given scripts, similar to telemarketers. All polling places have a set back line after which they can no longer electioneer. Most states that is 100 feet from the entrance (definitions as to entrance vary by jurisdiction. We used to print out push cards to be handed out at the election places. There are indeed some people that don't make up their minds or know about all the people and items on their ballot until they show up to vote.
