I am here for community only. I would like to meet new people for friendship and discussions. I'm not interested in hookups or relationships although meeting local friends for coffee or lunch is a possibility.

I'm an animal lover and a vegan. I love to dance, and have danced many different styles over the years. I enjoy traveling, reading, photography, listening to music, and being active in general. My taste in everything is eclectic. I would enjoy discussing any topic other than politics.

Currently, everything is on the back burner because I'm growing my business. I own and run a pet boarding facility, which just opened recently. Although my background is in academia, I find myself enjoying working with animals a whole lot more.

I'm pretty easy going, so say hi if you like.

FSM welcome.

Have you ever hated/disliked your boyfriend/girlfriend’s mom/dad or both?
graceylou comments on Sep 15, 2018:
My SO's parents had passed away long ago and I never met them. My boyfriend's parents are back east and I have never met them and probably never will. My FWB, I don't know if his parents are still alive or not. I think they have passed away. I never asked.
Sam's already has all their Xmas decorations out this morning.
graceylou comments on Sep 15, 2018:
It's already snowing here. Christmas decorations would be fair game.
How many women squirt.
graceylou comments on Sep 15, 2018:
Ugh. No, I've never done it, and don't find it even remotely appealing. If it happens to other women, then good for them. I have zero desire to learn or be taught how to do it.
It's common knowledge how men for the most part respond to lesbian porn.
graceylou comments on Sep 14, 2018:
Do you even have to ask?
Boob challenge??
graceylou comments on Sep 14, 2018:
I don’t have enough boobs to hold anything or to lose objects in. But I can run free without a bra and that’s a win for me. And no boob sweat in the summertime!!!
Are your words changing themselves on this site?
graceylou comments on Sep 14, 2018:
Yes. I especially notice it happening to my profile bio. Once in awhile words go missing and what I wrote makes no sense anymore. I just have to go back and edit every now and then. I've had whole comments in posts or responses in messaging go missing as well.
I see that we have some "believers" in the group.
graceylou comments on Sep 14, 2018:
Yes, I don't know why they are here. Although the site does have the "believer" option to add to the profile when joining. I don't care that they are here, unless they message me wanting a relationship.
Not trying to body shame slim ladies but as a curvy woman I thought this was cute.
graceylou comments on Sep 14, 2018:
I LOVE curvy women!!!
To celebrate Morten Harket’s birthday today.
graceylou comments on Sep 14, 2018:
I saw it posted in the a-ha FB page that it's his birthday!!! I was going to post something here but I figure you would be on top of him....it....I mean it!!
The choice is a humbling one to be on the receiving end of.
graceylou comments on Sep 14, 2018:
It’s beautifully said except for the misspelling of “individual”.
Ass to mouth. Where do we all stand on going AtoM?
graceylou comments on Sep 13, 2018:
I have no problem with that at all. I think my mouth is filthier than my ass. Have you heard the stuff that comes out of my mouth?
Do you play safe? I always use condoms with anyone that's not my husband.
graceylou comments on Sep 12, 2018:
With my primary (at any particular time) not after we have been together awhile. With others yes.
Would you pay someone to date you?
graceylou comments on Sep 12, 2018:
I just went and looked at your profile. Lady, you're gorgeous!!!! I think you had another post from an earlier time where you also mentioned something about your looks as being unattractive. May be start bit by bit and stop self-sabotaging. I know how that is myself. I suffer from anxiety including social anxiety, and add OCD to that, so I have trouble with change, new people, even touching and being touched by people. I've become aware that I talk myself out of things and put self-doubt into my own head. I try to fix that one step at a time. You can do it. Or as some have said, may be look into therapy. That doesn't mean you can't hire a date if you want to. That's your choice.
Do you check out the pictures before you purchase a calendar and do you only buy the calendar if you...
graceylou comments on Sep 12, 2018:
I only buy calendars with animal pictures on them. Rarely it's something other than animals. So yeah I would look at the pictures before purchasing a calendar. And I'm a calendar freak. I always have at least 6 or 7 of them in my house.
Would you pay someone to date you?
graceylou comments on Sep 12, 2018:
For once in awhile, as a nice treat for yourself, and you can find a reliable safe source for paid dates (I wouldn't even know what to call that), I say go for it. Men get escorts to look pretty on their arms all the time and no one cares (well, not no one may be but it's more acceptable). Would I do it? Probably not. But I wouldn't judge anyone who wants to do it.
Music or no music during sex?
graceylou comments on Sep 11, 2018:
I prefer no music. I can make my own sounds thank you.
While in your teens did you see your current age as old?
graceylou comments on Sep 11, 2018:
As a pre-teen and teen, I was into men who were in their 40s or older. I liked how mature they were. When I got older, in my 20s and 30s, I preferred men in their 50s or older. And now, I still like much older men. I guess in my teenage years I wouldn't see someone who's 47, like I am now, as old, just mature and desirable.
Do women enjoy men who want redwings??
graceylou comments on Sep 11, 2018:
Noooooo. Just no.
I behaved myself and didn't go to the Reptile Expo yesterday.
graceylou comments on Sep 11, 2018:
I go to the Reptile Expos to pick up my feeder order for snakes but it’s hard to resist wanting to take home a critter. I’ve been good about it though except last year when I went alone and took home a baby tarantula. I’d love to have axolotls. But I think next Expo I’m going to buy some isopods.
Being sexually open and finding innovative ways to please ourselves and others is a holly (LOL) ...
graceylou comments on Sep 10, 2018:
I have been accused of being a tease. I don’t know where people get that idea. Hmmm. Swinging is not for me but if you enjoy it then go for it.
I'm like a super poor artist and an looking for a sugardaddy!
graceylou comments on Sep 10, 2018:
Come on guys. One of you step up to the plate. Good luck, coral. I gave mine up years ago. I do miss flights to London. Nights at the theatre. Day trips to the countryside. Ah well. I feel sad now.
What is your honorific name?
graceylou comments on Sep 10, 2018:
If I’m in my more dominant position with my young one, I’m called Mommy. He is the only one to call me that.
Sugar daddy/babies...your thoughts?
graceylou comments on Sep 10, 2018:
As has been said, what consenting adults choose to do and however they choose to define their relationship, it’s none of my business.
I have just received my Agnostics Tshirt and pen in the mail this morning.
graceylou comments on Sep 10, 2018:
Awesome!!! I still have over 23000 points to go. I may need to whore myself out again because I want the damned T-shirt!!! I might promise to have a pic taken with just the T-shirt on. Just kidding!!! Looking forward to your pics.
Sooo, here’s a question.
graceylou comments on Sep 10, 2018:
I agree with most here. Ditch the bitch!!! If she doesn't like facial hair or gets irritated by scratchy hair on her face, then she should not have gone on a date with you. If you do shave your facial hair, who knows, she might ask you to change other things about yourself to suit her or else she would withhold intimate things, as a way to control you. Nope. Let's just move on now.

Are there any one here interested in English grammar or phonetics or both?
graceylou comments on Sep 9, 2018:
English grammar? I'm sure most of us would be interested in it in order to use it to communicate here. Phonetics? I love phonetics. I studied Linguistics.
Since we're the fortunate ones who can sleep in on Sunday and not attend church services.
graceylou comments on Sep 9, 2018:

Ok so I'll get straight to the point.
graceylou comments on Sep 9, 2018:
Good luck. I would do the same as you (though likely looking for a male but open to others) if I were in your situation.
What are 2 things on your sexual bucket list?
graceylou comments on Sep 9, 2018:

Every time you go away You take a piece of meat with you...
graceylou comments on Sep 9, 2018:
There’s only one kind of meat I will eat. (Ggggaaahhh. Paul Young. I had such a huge crush on him.)
I had a boss who always kept his long hair in a ponytail.
graceylou comments on Sep 8, 2018:
I've had a similar thought often, including today. My hair is very long now but I always have to keep it tied up or in a bun or I can't do my work. My hair grows too fast for short styles (I hate going to the hair salon), so I just let my hair grow. I let it down for special occasions but those are super rare for me (also for dance). Every time I hear a man tell me he likes my hair long because women look better with long hair, I just want to slap them (well, punch them so they fly right across the room, but I have to tone down the violence). I don't grow my hair long for men, sheesh.
What is your favorite place you've ever lived?
graceylou comments on Sep 8, 2018:
None of the places I've lived at so far. I grew up in the Vancouver (BC) area, and most people would say how beautiful Vancouver is. Ugh, not if you live there. Rainy, gloomy days most of the year, high crime and drug use rates, crowding, high cost of living, terrible transportation system. It's fine if you're a tourist who just gets to see the pretty and trendy places. I live outside of Edmonton now in the country, and I do like it out here, away from people, lots of space. But I do have to deal with the inconveniences of country living (long distances to anything, higher costs for foods and goods, very conservative minded population).
Should I get the flu vaccine? What to know before flu season
graceylou comments on Sep 8, 2018:
I won't ever get the flu vaccine. I don't ever get the flu. I don't even get colds. I used to work with kids, and with kids, one or more of them are always sick. I had coworkers who were sick all the time, and some of my friends I hang out with are sick all the time. I never catch their cold or flu or worse. I keep myself healthy, eat right, and keep my immune system strong. That said, young children, seniors, and people with compromised immune system probably should get the shot, as per recommendation of their physician. I'm not an anti-vaxxer.

How many hours a day do you spend on Agnostics?
graceylou comments on Sep 7, 2018:
I work for myself, and I work everyday, so I might just leave myself logged in during the day (on my laptop or phone) and peek in now and then when I'm not too occupied with other duties.
What is something you ate growing up that you never ate again once you became an adult?
graceylou comments on Sep 7, 2018:
Cow tongue. Fried squid. Later on in adulthood: meats, dairy, eggs, anything from animals.
What’s the big deal about bras?
graceylou comments on Sep 7, 2018:
I hate bras. They are off as soon as I get home. I can get away with no bra most of the time but understand women with large heavy breasts need the support. I like sports bras for exercise and dance. I wear some styles of bras like push up ones to enhance if I wear dressy clothes. But I can get away with tops and dresses with light padding for the breasts and find those most comfortable.
Don't move. There's a spider crawling up your leg oh and that bee What do you do? ?
graceylou comments on Sep 7, 2018:
Probably nothing. Bee won’t sting me unless I try to hurt it. Spider crawling up my leg isn’t an issue for me. If needed I will gently shoo the bee so it will fly off. Then let the spider crawl on my hand and I will take it to a safe place where it will not get hurt.
Speaking of orgies, anyone else here a fan of the TV show Versailles?
graceylou comments on Sep 6, 2018:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9WTU_33Ank Here is the trailer for Season 1. There are 3 seasons. And yes, it's a historical drama with intense action scenes as well, not just a giant sex orgy.
Speaking of orgies, anyone else here a fan of the TV show Versailles?

graceylou comments on Sep 6, 2018:
Since the original quote was written by someone by the name of trannyfem, I think it was meant to be cynical or sarcastic. I don't know if trannyfem identifies as bisexual but it's not likely she would be anti bisexual people or people with sexual preferences and identities that are often not accepted by the general mainstream population. I think she is making fun of people who assume bisexual people are on the hunt for everyone.
What is a motivating incentive for you?
graceylou comments on Sep 6, 2018:
Animals in need. Need for perfection. I'm not motivated by money, reward, praise, etc. Though I could be motivated by avoidance of criticism or punishment.
DO YOU HAVE A SECRET CRUSH HERE?
graceylou comments on Sep 6, 2018:
A crush, yes. Secret, probably not.
I saw somebody ask if, as religion fades, polyamory will overtake monogamy as the dominant practice.
graceylou comments on Sep 6, 2018:
To me, there is no necessary and absolute connection between religion, polyamory, and orgies, whether public or not. This is a strange question.
So I got replies... sorta? What's up wiff dis?
graceylou comments on Sep 6, 2018:
It's been happening for several days. A bug that needs to be dealt with still. I haven't seen it on my posts and comments lately though.
Where did he get this idea that he is a pet [globalnews.ca]
graceylou comments on Sep 6, 2018:
As much as I would love to pet and snuggle lion, I feel so sad for this poor guy. A safari where the "wild" animals are not natural wildlife of the area is just a ridiculous idea. It's basically just a tour of the zoo.
What pets can I have?
graceylou comments on Sep 6, 2018:
Snakes are great but yes you do need to feed them furry creatures although I don’t know if frozen/thawed feeders would cause a flare up. If you like reptiles, what about geckos (or other lizards). They eat insects. Some are omnivorous and can be fed a powdered smoothie type mix (mix of powdered fruits, vitamins, and sometimes insect protein). Leopard geckos have quite the personality. I miss my Grover I had for 12 years.
Just before my bedtime my favourite Norwegians, a-ha.

CAT CALLS -- Everyone who has ever owned a cat and a dog, know the main differences between the two.
graceylou comments on Sep 5, 2018:
My cats all know their names and come when called. Unless they know I’m taking them to the vet. Dog forbid, you’re making a sandwich. Must have an audience of 5 or more cats.
How do you relax?
graceylou comments on Sep 5, 2018:
Hobby I enjoy that keeps my mind occupied, like working on dance choreography or cross stitch or doing other crafts.
For those of you in the polyamorous lifestyle, how many partners are you able to maintain?
graceylou comments on Sep 5, 2018:
For me usually 2-3 would be the norm, although it could be infinite if I wanted to. In many poly relationships, there's a primary partner, and may be both of these primary partners "maintain" the third partner, so you are not alone in "maintaining" all the others. Or all the partners in the relationship can "maintain" each other in different combinations or all altogether. It might be easier to maintain the relationships in these cases. I'm not in one of these situations though. Currently it is 3 for me, with one primary, but I'm possibly nurturing more.
It goes without saying you can't change the past .
graceylou comments on Sep 5, 2018:
For me it’s the opposite of that. I wish I hadn’t been with some I had relationships with. But I really regret nothing. I can’t fix those mistakes; all I can do is learn from them and move on.
I think I need this shirt
graceylou comments on Sep 4, 2018:

What is your favorite restaurant?
graceylou comments on Sep 4, 2018:
I would take the person to my favourite place to eat, my home. I don’t go to restaurants much because I prefer to cook and eat my own food. I would cook up a storm of amazing delicious dishes.
No! No cats on the counter! Rigby hasn't learned the house rules yet.
graceylou comments on Sep 4, 2018:
Like the say, you can teach a cat to do something but you can’t teach them to not do something. Well, you can teach them but they just ignore you. My cats are allowed just about anywhere. Places they aren’t allowed into have the doors closed.

Ethical non-mongamy.
graceylou comments on Sep 3, 2018:
I’m poly. I think I’ve probably always known monogamy is not for me and would be very suffocating if I were stuck in a monogamous relationship. I’m not into open relationships in the sense that I don’t simply look for partners for sex but I’m open to exploring new relationships with new persons I form connections with. I’m in a relationship with several men whom I love and respect, who value me in the same way. I know other people who are in poly relationships and I don’t care who knows that I’m poly. In the Internet age, we realize there are many just like us out there. I doubt ethical non-monogamy would be accepted fully ever but then again nothing not mainstream would be either. The book looks interesting. I might suggest it for my book club.
if someone outside of this group were to call you a pervert.
graceylou comments on Sep 3, 2018:

Ridiculous Rumors
graceylou comments on Sep 3, 2018:
The rumour mill started early for me. When I was 5 I was hanging around with my younger brother who was 3. We were yapping about kid stuff while leaning on the door to our parents' bedroom (no idea why). Suddenly he ran like an idiot, tripped, and bashed his head on the corner of my parents' bed's footboard. Blood was everywhere. He needed stitches above his eyebrow (he still has a scar there). No one saw what happened except the two of us, so since then the story that has gone around to all my relatives and family friends is that I pushed my brother because I was jealous of him (my older brother is first born son, my younger brother is the baby, and I'm the nothing middle female child). To this day, everyone believes I did it no matter how much I deny it. And my younger brother was too young to even remember what happened.
What has been your favorite travel destination and why?
graceylou comments on Sep 2, 2018:
New Orleans, for the history, culture, and weirdness. London, England, probably for the same reasons. And I have to add Gamboa, Panama, because Panama is just beautiful. And Tofino, on Vancouver Island, for the spectacular whale watching.

What was the worst gift you've ever received?
graceylou comments on Aug 31, 2018:
Jumper cables for Christmas. Like who could live in this dogforsaken winter hell and not already have a dozen of those. Chocolate sprinkles. My aunts from the Netherlands always brought over chocolate sprinkles as gifts. I guess Dutch chocolate sprinkles are special but really it’s all junk ingredients except in a foreign language.
What kind of art do you enjoy most?
graceylou comments on Aug 31, 2018:

Fanatics I need your help! My new rescue kitty Rigby is giving me trouble.
graceylou comments on Aug 31, 2018:
My groomer does nail trims for $10-15 (and that's Canadian!!!). It might be worth it to save you time and grief, and possible injuries to both parties. For some cats, putting a cloth over their heads (over, not wrapped) might calm them.

Should I switch out my barbells for rings in my nipples? The barbells seem a little to wide.
graceylou comments on Aug 30, 2018:
I said yes because when I had my nipple piercings I kept getting the barbells caught on things. And that damned hurt. I changed to rings. Size wise, with the barbells, gotta have room for when the nipples swell.
Women how do you like today's Style with men with shaved or cropped hair and long beards?
graceylou comments on Aug 29, 2018:
I love shaved heads. Also love beards (or any facial hair). But I can be attracted to men of any style. What I don't like are men who look expensive and high maintenance.
I see lots of people talk about not liking being alone.
graceylou comments on Aug 29, 2018:
I love being alone too. On occasion I might spend time with others but I enjoy my alone time. I like going shopping alone, and I prefer traveling alone. I don’t have to wait for others, I can go at my pace, I don’t have to do things I don’t want to do.
What kind of act would you really love to try on/with a partner that you've never preformed before?

Veggies you like
graceylou comments on Aug 29, 2018:
Mangoes, pineapples, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, melons. Spinach, asparagus, mushrooms, broccoli, potatoes sweet potatoes, onions, garlic, bell peppers. Being vegan I eat a whole variety of fruits and vegetables whether I really like it or not. I hated coconuts and avocados but have learned to accept consuming them. I can’t stand cherries and would never eat pickles.
Ever spent time around someone who was a perfectionist?
graceylou comments on Aug 28, 2018:
Spent my whole entire life with one. Me. It can be excruciating. Stressful. Everything takes so long to do or it never gets done because it’s not perfect. My parents are perfectionists so I grew up expected to be perfect and was always criticized or humiliated for not being perfect. I never did anything right.
CHOICES LIMIT US Every time we make a choice, we're giving up the other choices.
graceylou comments on Aug 28, 2018:
I own a standard donkey and two Arabian horses. My donkey is very easy to care for compared to my horses. She does have a tendency to break out of the fencing but she's easy to catch as she's like a dog and wants to be with people. She's easy with hoof trims, unlike my crazy horses. She can be pretty noisy but since all my neighbours have livestock including horses and donkeys, nobody cares. Donkeys are also a great alarm system and protector of outside pets and livestock.
I don't dislike babies, but YES.
graceylou comments on Aug 28, 2018:

graceylou comments on Aug 27, 2018:
I have never climaxed during intercourse in my entire life. I just am not able to. A man would have to keep going until he’s blue in the face if he keeps trying. I would prefer he gets there even if I don’t get to climax at all during the whole thing.

When did you first realize you were deviant?
graceylou comments on Aug 27, 2018:
I was in my twenties. Chat sites were new thing, and I joined one (adults only, open to kinks, lots of members from the BDSM community). Totally opened the world to me. I met Daddy there and found I liked that sort of relationship, although it was mostly online until I was in my 30s when I flew thousands of miles to see Daddy.
Which are your favourite cities/towns to visit?
graceylou comments on Aug 27, 2018:
Looks like some of you list New Orleans as one of your favourites (a few of you not a fan). Party time in NOLA, folks? I have to say that I don’t know if I particularly like New Orleans even but I can’t help myself in needing to go back again. Something mysterious is just drawing me back there. I don’t normally drink but I probably drank more while there than in my entire life. I’m just not quite myself when I’m there. May be that is actually the real me and I live someone else’s life when I’m not there.
McDonald's or Burger King?

I don’t go to fast food restaurants. I rarely go to restaurants. I prefer to cook my own meals. If I’m out there and need to get something to eat and drink I would find a Starbucks and check online for a list of their items that are vegan (not all available at all locations). I rarely drink pop, but if I had to choose between Coke and Pepsi it would be Coke (diet). Besides, Diet Pepsi is not vegan. My preferred pop is ginger ale but I don’t drink it much at all. These days I only drink coffee (my vice; black mostly or latte with almond milk if at Starbucks) and water, with the occasional kombucha tea (the only kind of tea I can drink). I’m trying to be good but I still have a few vices.
Opportunity bless my soul
