What breed of dog do you feel most like?
graceylou comments on Jun 11, 2018:
A standard poodle. Prissy and smart. Kinda aloof and anti-social unless I like you, then you’re my best friend.
graceylou replies on Jun 18, 2018:
@Qualia I work with many breeds of dogs so I know breed personalities. Of course there are individual personalities too.
My brother's tuxedo cat Millie.

graceylou replies on Jun 17, 2018:
They live in a tiny one-bedroom apartment/condo with a small balcony, but I think she's very happy there. She is very much loved. My sis in law says she can't wait to go home from work everyday to see Millie at home. My sis in law has allergies to cats but she gets allergy shots once a month so she can keep Millie.
Close to my parents' house, there is this wonderful woodsy park.

@OldGoat43 My parents' place is at the foot of a mountain. May be more of a hill, although they call it a mountain. I went to the university on top of the mountain. I know there is quite a bit of wildlife there. There are certainly cougars there that I've heard of. But this bit of woods is quite separated from any real forests of any kind. The bear would have had to walk along the roads and highways in the suburbs to reach this park. It's possible I suppose. Where I live in rural Alberta, it's not unusual to have bears roaming around. They are pretty elusive though so mostly people just find tracks and scat.

I know hey. I get claustrophobic plus I get motion sickness on a plane, so I need either the aisle seat or the window seat where I can look out the window. Middle seats on short flights are ok. Everyone seemed to have had their faces buried in their tech. Mine was pressed to the window taking in the natural world.
Do you like to dance ?
graceylou comments on Jun 15, 2018:
Have always been involved in dance of some form since I was that awkward 6 year old in ballet.
graceylou replies on Jun 15, 2018:
@Wildgreens Ballet was too rigid for me. I don’t like being caged by forms and rules. I followed a friend from school into Balinese and Javenese dance lessons which I enjoyed. She went on to compete in Balinese competitions and won several. She became a movie star over there. I moved to Canada and got into a bit of jazz. Then ballroom and salsa. I love salsa and other Latin dances. Loved Latin ballroom. Then I got into flamenco and did that for 7 years. After that I got into bellydancing and have been doing it for 10 years now. But I have also dabble in other styles: African dances, Bollywood, burlesque, Scottish highland, etc. In terms of bellydance, I’ve done just about all styles as well.

@JohnINFP He does have a lot of songs that are everyone's favourite. Like everybody knows all the words to his songs like they are our anthems. You can tell Bryan is so well-loved by everyone. His songs go deep into our hearts and soul. Most of us at the concert grew up on a daily dose of Bryan Adams as kids/teens, so the majority are 40 plus. I sat next to a boy may be 8 or 9 years old there with his mom. His mom says Bryan Adams is his favourite. So cute.

Thanks for the responses. I thought everyone would say, hey Grace you must be a skanky slut (though that wouldn't really offend me). I live with enough rules from everyone else I don't need to build a wall of (my own) rules around myself. I'm a lover of freedom. If I want to screw that brute Neanderthal with the big arms and tight ass, whose only shared means of conversation with me is through grunts, then I'd do it. I'm not saying everyone should be like me. It's just that's how I roll with everything in life. My relations with others may not be based on emotional or intellectual connection, but that doesn't mean I don't consider them special (even if they are only casual). I enjoy and adore every single one of them for what they are individually.
I finish these two clocks yesterday.

Awwwww. I wish you lived close because I need a clock for my reception/office at my pet resort.

@SkotlandSkye We are opening it soon. It’s a pet hotel. No kennels, all suites.
You have to make love to my mind.

Whichever of my fancies gets tickled, I will go with that. I always hate limiting myself with strict rules. Going with my gut (or whatever other body part), keeping an open mind, giving unlikelies a chance.

DharmaEngineer comments on Jun 8, 2018:
I didn't know he was a vegan advocate. Very cool.
graceylou replies on Jun 9, 2018:
@XxDARKNEXUSxX I believe it's the PETA website (as much as I hate PETA) that lists a whole bunch of celebrities and well-known people who are vegetarian or vegan or suspected to be either. I won't post a link to their site though, never.

Thanks Grace! I love the warm hugs. ♡ You made my day! How was the concert?
graceylou replies on Jun 9, 2018:
It was amazing!!! He did all of his well known songs and several from his newest album. The atmosphere was fantastic. No negativity or politics. Just happiness, joyous music, and a lot of love. He did this song as well and got everyone dancing (well, we were all dancing all night long). He made my night by singing Straight From the Heart, which is my favourite BA song. I have to go through my pics and videos yet since I got home so late and have to be up at 5 am to go to work today.
I know i know.

graceylou replies on Jun 9, 2018:
Yup, and they are coming up with new morphs all the time. There are even scaleless cornsnakes. I have 6 corns of different morphs myself. No scaleless though.

My corn's prior 2 sheds were a hot mess, bits and pieces everywhere - helped her with wet towels. The most recent shed was perfection! I praised her heartily :)
graceylou replies on Jun 9, 2018:
I know hey. My corns usually have few issues. My kings on the other hand get the shedding issues. Last time though it was my Dumeril's boa. Removing stuck shed from a 20 lbs snake was not fun but at least she's perfectly mellow.

There are numerous morphs of corn snakes nowadays. But even the normals are pretty.

I love that his focus is on compassion for animals. So many celebrities go "vegan", aka plant-based, for mainly or only dietary or health reasons. And it's not a "fad" thing a lot of celebrities are into these days. He has been vegan for 29 years.

Staff at my local humane society accidentally left 3 cats in their vehicle for 22 days. The cats miraculously survived and have now been adopted. They’re going to do an internal investigation though there’s been calls for an outside party investigation. Who’s going to protect these animals ...
graceylou replies on Jun 8, 2018:
@SkotlandSkye Not 22 hours. And yes 22 days. The Edmonton Humane Society has had many issues for a long time but they are protected by the city and the media. You cannot say one thing negative about them without serious consequences. I hate having to fight an organization who is supposed to help animals. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/edmonton-humane-society-cats-forgotten-vehicle-1.4691861

@JohnINFP That’s pretty much the only thing I listen to these days. That and new music from artists popular in the 80s. I didn’t get much of a chance to go to concerts as a teen. My parents were too protective to let me go to things like that. Went to see Duran Duran a couple of years ago. I’m going to see Bryan Adams tomorrow!!!!
It’s difficult or expensive being vegan. I seem to hear that a lot. Do you agree or disagree?

@Sticks48 Hmmm. I don’t know that one. I don’t often watch PBS. Will look into it.

That is a great idea. I've seen some people create cat spaces with interesting designs, but I like yours better. Maybe I'm evolving more towards cat DNA as I get older.
graceylou replies on Jun 7, 2018:
Honestly I’m a dog person not a cat person but cats can be more fun. No point decorating the walls of the dog suites because dogs can get pretty destructive. I’ve sucked up enough cat hair into my system I’m probably slowly mutating into a cat.
