The bible isn't the standard, it's a collection of stories. I no more value 'teachings ' in the bible than I do from a Harry Potter novel. I also take issue with the notion that we can take values from religious communities, they take values from the good aspects of humanity.

A film adaptation of Dennis Wheatley's 'The Devil Rides Out'. I was only about 12 and should have been scared, or at least bemused, by the occult but I was fascinated and then immersed myself in everything Dennis Wheatley. I was probably closer to Lucifer than JC lol I also found out that Charles Grey has one of the most sinister voices :-)

I've never been described as a beautiful little buttercup before but to answer your question........I'm not entirely sure there is a who or a what. I certainly haven't modeled myself on anyone nor, as far as I'm aware, consciously tried to factor in someone's philosophy into my own. There have been a host of people who's lives have been amazing and inspiring, there are also others whom the world has revered but I am more guarded. I think I am a mixture of parental guidance, schooling, experiences, my intelligence and intellect. I have picked some nuggets up along the way that still resonate but can't put a finger on a moment. I would hope that I have learned how to think and would hope to pass that on to my kids so that they are well armed and will make up their own minds :-)

I've asked myself the same question. I separated from my wife a little over 6 years ago. Obviously it had an effect and not unrequited love before you ask. I'm quite happy on my own doing my own thing and do think it would be nice to share things with someone but..........while I do generally think of myself as likable I don't think I'm particularly fanciable but I'm also aware that I may well be on my own because a) I don't ask & b) I'm so not sure that I want to risk going thru what I've been thru again and that I may not be 'available' and those are the vibes I give off.

Do you like being spontaneous or planning ahead?
