I am retired, have a fixed pension and SS income and nothing has changed in my income and taxes in the past few years. I was receiving about $200+ refund for years. After Bush I was paying $200+. My 2018 return I am getting $1200+ refund which has already been direct deposited in my bank account . Go figure. The only change on my return was Standard Deductions which I have always taken and was almost doubled.

Had a brief, but heartfelt & interesting talk with our current houskeeper.

My only thought is to allow her daughter to live with her father and that would perhaps free her from financial responsibilities and allow her more freedom to live a more frugal life and allow her to continue with her education. This would of course be a temporary solution and would have to be agreed on by both parents.

I am a voter and I vote in EVERY election and have since I became eligible. As far as I can determine, the only way we can affect/effect politics in 'merca is by voting, as an activitist or become a candidate. Once a candidate is elected, an activist is one's only option.
