jlynn37 comments on Nov 24, 2018:
Conservatives are authoritarian and listen to and believe whatever their authority figures tell them (Trump, Limbaugh, faux news, Pat Robinson, etc). Liberals are more free thinkers and rely on their own abilities to decide on what is right or wrong. Your mileage will vary.
What is it that makes humans feel the need to thank God for things that grow in and on land.

Until some verifiable evidence, facts and data can be produced to support the existence of aliens (or any claim) then the default position is the claim is false. Hitchens' razor is an epistemological razor asserting that the burden of proof regarding the truthfulness of a claim lies with the one who makes the claim, and if this burden is not met, the claim is unfounded, and its opponents need not argue further in order to dismiss it. "What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence”.

jlynn37 comments on Nov 8, 2018:

Important atheist question: When you die, would you let them bury your body or cremate it.
jlynn37 comments on Nov 4, 2018:
I have willed my body to the University of Texas Medical School. Once they take possession of it, it becomes their property to do with it as they see fit, which most likely will be used to train med students. After they are done with it, it will be cremated and the ashes will either be returned to my family (if they choose that option) or will be spread in the garden on their property. I do not visit my loved one's graves as they are still very much alive in my mind and in my memories. which I do visit often and with lots of happiness to recall our times together.
