I am agnostic atheist. Living an evidence based life, and since there is no credible evidence for the existence of any god(s), I am an A-theist. I claim to be a Secular Humanist when asked.

Of course certain groups have always been denied freedoms and some that have achieved success in obtaining some freedoms are being targeted to having those freedoms taken away. Science does not say anything as gospel, but what the experimentation, evidence, facts, data, lead too. Scripture does nothing but make a claim that to this day no experimentation, evidence, facts, data has been presented to support the claim.
