Anyone else ready for this winter to be over?
jlynn37 comments on Feb 6, 2018:
I was a snow skier for 25 years and looked forward to winter as much as the other seasons. I quit skiing when I turned 75 for safety reasons and now I do not like winter in any way. I am an outdoors person, enjoy traveling and camping, I live by a lake and enjoy boating and have become a warm weather activity person. Winter has become something to endure for the few months it happens every year.

I would rather drink Paregoric or Kaopectate than alcohol as I can't stand the taste of alcohol. Might have saved me a lot of misery over my lifetime and certainly saved me a lot of money.

jlynn37 comments on Feb 5, 2018:
I love. I love you as my sister/brother in my human family, I love you as the unique person that you are, I love you as a friend. It is difficult to have negativity in your life when you love. It works well for me.
If a god wanted me to believe it exists, why would it create me without god-sensing senses?
jlynn37 comments on Feb 5, 2018:
An all-powerful, omnipotent god would know exactly what it would take for me to believe in it's existence and if it loved me and wanted me to spend eternity with it, it would do what ever it takes to make that happen.

What would you do in this situation?
jlynn37 comments on Feb 5, 2018:
I understand the position they have put you in. It is THEIR decision, not yours. I would continue to be their son and make the effort to continue your relationship with them, but unless you are willing to forego your individual person-hood or they are willing to accept you as you are, there is little you can do about it. I wish you well.

I always have a pair of Roadrunners in my neighborhood (very rural) and they are interesting to watch hunter gathering individually and as a pair. Lots of Turkey and Black Buzzards. I live by a lake and every spring there are numerous White Pelicans doing interesting group flight maneuvers over head. There are a few varieties of Hummingbirds during the summer months. While camping it is glorious to hear a Bard Owl (among other Species) during the night. Scissor-tailed Flycatchers are fun to watch. Many Red-tailed Hawks.

jlynn37 comments on Feb 4, 2018:
I have been on the internet and on dating sites for 23 years and I know from experience what can happen here. I realized immediately the scammer situations on the internet and I typed a text file that I saved and would copy and paste it into chats when the time was right and if you follow that simple rule you will NEVER be scammed. "I have one strict rule when I am on the internet. I will NEVER, under ANY circumstances, send money or gifts to ANYONE for ANY REASON." It is my opinion that it is just an organisation that works just like a telemarketing organisation with rows of individuals contacting internet users who would be susceptible to scamming (lonely older men and women the best targets). When you are on the internet, you have absolutely no way of knowing who you are chatting with (it could be a man, woman, child, a bot, law enforcement). You are perfectly safe if you remember and use the strict rule text file above. Good luck and have some fun.

I am here to meet friends, spend time together in chat and enjoy what we can share together. If it turns out that we live close perhaps we can meet and enjoy each other in person. I do not ask anything from anyone other than that they enjoy the time we spend together and would want to share in that enjoyment.
