You know how life sometimes looks at you and laughs? Well, that about sums up my life. At this moment in time I'm 62 but most of the time feel 30. I am multi-tattooed (it's the only habit I allow myself) and occasionally pierced.

I have 3 kiddos who usually act older than me. Luckily I don't embarrass them much and all their friends thinks I'm the cool mom. I haven't decided if that's a good thing though.

Life treats me well so I try to treat it well.

kiramea comments on Jun 1, 2018:

Is anyone on here also on fetlife? Just curious
kiramea comments on Feb 14, 2018:
I signed up for it when it was first formed. Never really liked the way it's set up. My daughter uses it though. When my ex-boyfriend was arrested for having over 500 images of child porn on his computer, he was defended by everyone there; I stopped using it. They claim (even though they didn't know him) that he was set up by a vindictive ex-girlfriend. His other girlfriend at the time was ostracized from all BDSM groups in the area because they all took his side and not hers. I just can't patronize a company that defends that kind of behavior.

What are your thoughts about women changing their last name after marriage?
kiramea comments on Feb 4, 2018:
I personally see that as something private between the man and wife. For me, I changed my name the first time I married. It was such a pain in the ass to change it back that I never changed it again. My oldest son has my last name (I wasn't married when I had him). My daughter and youngest son has their father's name. Eventually my youngest son will get his name changed because he doesn't want the name of an abusive man, but now that his father is dead it's not as big an issue.
How as athiest do you determine right from wrong ?
kiramea comments on Jan 8, 2019:
*Transgenders ? Your son or daughter wishes to switch genders .* What does this have to do with morals? *Would u allow this ?* And I'm supposed to do what...... kick them out....... tell them they'll get no dessert until they stay the way they are? Too many kids commit suicide because their parents reject them when they tell them they are transgender. I'll be damned if I contribute to that number. As a parent, you accept your child AS THEY ARE. That includes if they decide the gender they were born into isn't the gender they believe they are. This has nothing to do with morals, and everything to do with being a compassionate human being.

kiramea comments on Jan 29, 2019:
Federal law already mandates that you get that information. I'm not sure if it has the ingredients on it though. I do agree with the "miracle" thing though.
Can teens be hired at the age of 15?
kiramea comments on May 10, 2018:
Don't remember how it is in Colorado, but I believe the teenager needs to have a work permission slip signed by her parents to go to work at 15. She will also need to show that her family needs the money. This may have changed since I last looked at it though. My oldest son wanted to work at age 15 (in Texas) and I would have had to jump through hoops to allow him.

kiramea comments on Apr 20, 2019:

It's traditional for a woman to change her family name to her husbands when she marries.
kiramea comments on Apr 14, 2019:
I've been married three times. The first time I changed my last name. When he loaded, chambered, and pointed a 12g shotgun five inches in front of my face I moved out and filed for divorce. Getting my last name back was a horror show which I vowed never to do again. The second and third time I kept my last name. Fun fact..... I knew a couple in Richmond, Virginia where the man took the woman's last name.
Have you ever declined a date with someone because of their name?
kiramea comments on Feb 14, 2018:
For the longest time I refused to date anyone with the name of Mike/Michael. I had a boyfriend with that name in high school that was as my dad said "had Manson eyes". A year after we broke up (he tried to get into my car to assault me) he called me. He told me in explicit detail how he beat up his girlfriend, got arrested and put on 8 months probation. Then he asked me out. I politely declined.

Christmas, like all other major celebrations is just a money grab. The major corporations put out ads to make you feel guilty if you don't one-up others in buying presents for others. I get my grandson a pizza gift card (it's been a tradition since he asked me to get him pizza for Christmas), and something simple. When I get my children something, I usually get it for them after Christmas. This Christmas though I'm driving to Wichita, KS to see my grandson.

From what I can find, viagra can only be bought over the counter in the UK. As for the answer to your question..... we've had sexual harassment long before viagra. Like domestic abuse in the past, it was pretty much considered normal and women could not do anything about it. Now that women are getting their power, we can and are demanding something be done.

I use Total Wireless for my phone (and am pretty satisfied with it), but would love an alternative for my Internet (CableAmerica is the only thing in town for that unless I want to go to satellite internet).
Atheism
kiramea comments on Feb 22, 2018:
My father was a very religious Catholic. My mother was Baptist. When they married my mother had to convert and promise to raise all children as Catholic. We went to mass religiously every Sunday until they played "Let it Be" in mass. My father was pissed. We stopped going to mass for two reasons..... they stopped saying mass in Latin, and singing "Let it Be". Apparently my father wasn't as devout as I thought he was.
Ladies, are we immodest because we're not covered up?
kiramea comments on Feb 1, 2018:
It should not matter how you're dressed. What may be immodest for me might not be for someone else. In otherwords, it's not up to me (or anyone else for that matter) to determine how appropriate someone is dressed. I think saggy pants are ridiculous; therefore I don't wear them I think string bikinis look bad on most people; therefore I don't wear them. Micro-minis are too small. Don't wear those either. sheer fabrics show too much. Nope, that's not me. I think you get the point. There's always going to be someone who you don't approve of. Unless you wear blinders in public you will see them. Ignore them or don't go out.

He's still a conservative, religious asshole though.

kiramea comments on Jan 30, 2018:
My oldest son and his wife have never wanted kids, besides my daughter-in-law has a disorder that having children could kill her. Even with that, no doctor in their bohunk Texas town would do a tubal on her. My youngest son really doesn't want children either. I have told all my children that I'm in no hurry to become a grandmother, and if they didn't want children that was okay with me. It really pisses me off when I hear people tell me that their parents are harping on them to have children (my ex-boyfriend's mom was one of those people). Children are a HUGE responsibility and that responsibility should not be taken lightly.
