I wasn't there so I don't know exactly what he said, however people can share their experience including their faith in a God without it being a platform to convert. Just take the message that he was trying to convey and ignore the religious part. At least that would be what I would do.
Opinions, experience, thoughts wanted.

After two failed marriages and then a failed relationship where everyone preferred me to have long hair, I chopped it off completely. I've kept it very short for three years, and am now ready to grow it long again. My hair is pretty much completely gray, but instead of dying it I going to buy funky colored hair wax and chalk. It's really annoying to have to touch up roots every three to four weeks.
Sativa? or Indica?
kiramea comments on Feb 1, 2018:
Shows you how out of touch I am. I had to look up what the Indica is and the differences between them. I use neither. Relaxes me, but makes it impossible to sleep.
Ladies, are we immodest because we're not covered up?
kiramea comments on Feb 1, 2018:
It should not matter how you're dressed. What may be immodest for me might not be for someone else. In otherwords, it's not up to me (or anyone else for that matter) to determine how appropriate someone is dressed. I think saggy pants are ridiculous; therefore I don't wear them I think string bikinis look bad on most people; therefore I don't wear them. Micro-minis are too small. Don't wear those either. sheer fabrics show too much. Nope, that's not me. I think you get the point. There's always going to be someone who you don't approve of. Unless you wear blinders in public you will see them. Ignore them or don't go out.

kiramea comments on Jan 31, 2018:
I always say atheist, but like @sarahroo29 says they don't pay attention. I've had people state that they read my profile and they believe we're perfect for each other. When I look at their profile it states that they are a Christian and serious about it. The ones that I like the most is when they say they love my picture...... and I don't have one up.

If you ever attended church, did you ever pay tithe?
kiramea comments on Jan 30, 2018:
I always believed that God didn't want me to starve or go without, so I only gave when I could. When the church I was going to kept asking for money (sometimes 4 times in a service for various things) I stopped completely. I was not about to be a party to excessive greed.

He probably wouldn't believe you anyway. I can't count how many times men have asked me out believing that since I'm poly that means I would screw anything that slows down. They are surprised when I tell them that I have to talk to their wife to make sure it is okay with them to date.

How old were you when you first watched porn?
kiramea comments on Jan 30, 2018:
The first porn I saw was Story of O. I was seventeen at the time, and I wanted to see for myself why the church I was going to was demanding it be banned. Being from a relatively sheltered upbringing I didn't understand a lot of it, but I was intrigued.

I never wanted to have kids, is that weird?
kiramea comments on Jan 30, 2018:
My oldest son and his wife have never wanted kids, besides my daughter-in-law has a disorder that having children could kill her. Even with that, no doctor in their bohunk Texas town would do a tubal on her. My youngest son really doesn't want children either. I have told all my children that I'm in no hurry to become a grandmother, and if they didn't want children that was okay with me. It really pisses me off when I hear people tell me that their parents are harping on them to have children (my ex-boyfriend's mom was one of those people). Children are a HUGE responsibility and that responsibility should not be taken lightly.

kiramea comments on Jan 29, 2018:
Just to be clear, you're talking only about faith healers and not homeopathic healers, correct? I personally see them as two different things. Faith healers should be shot on site (metaphorically), but definitely should be charged with at least manslaughter. Homeopathic healers should not be charged, however it would be in their best interest to have the patient sign a waiver stating that he's voluntarily forgoing medical care.
Transgender and Bathrooms

My then-husband and I went with a friend to a gay/lesbian bar in Houston, TX. When I went to use the bathroom I walked into a massive amount of stalls with both men and women. It was a shock at first, then I just went and done my business. After all, it's just pee (and occasionally poo)
Anyone ever have a DNA ancestry test?
kiramea comments on Jan 29, 2018:
I have actually had three. First one showed the majority of my DNA came from Scandinavia. It also implied that my father wasn't my birth father since my sister's was so much different from mine. Second one was to see if I had Neanderthal DNA because the first one didn't show that. Third one was a sibling test to compare mine and my sister's DNA. We're definitely sisters. The two commercial ones I used were My Heritage and 23andme. 23and me shows the Neanderthal connection. My sister used Ancestory. We also are registered at https://www.gedmatch.com/select.php . It has interesting information.

Why do psychics in TV and movies seem to always get nose bleeds?
kiramea comments on Jan 26, 2018:
My mother had uncontrolled high blood pressure for years. When I was a child a blood vessel broke in her nose and she hemorrhaged, almost dying. In other words, bleeding from your nose can be from other things other than a brain hemorrhage. I've always interpreted the visual signs as the director trying to show something supernatural going on. It always seemed over the top fake to me.

Have you died or almost died?
kiramea comments on Jan 24, 2018:
There has been several times that I should have died 1) suicide attempt. Took 30 Dalmanes and 30 Phenobarbitals along with drinking beer. Still after over 30yrs I still don't know why. 2) peritonitius. Appendix burst and the ER doctor tried to tell my parents that I had an STD. Luckily my parents were good friends with the Chief of Staff and got me admitted. Was in ICU for a week and at one point they weren't sure if I would live through it. 3) 1st husband loaded a 12 gauge shotgun, cocked it and put it inches from my head. 4) Open heart surgery for quadruple bypass. This one I technically died as they had to put me on a heart/lung machine to do the surgery. So, in some aspects I'm now a zombie :p
Do you recall any epic moments in history that you witnessed?
kiramea comments on Jan 24, 2018:
I remember watching the Cuban Missile crisis unfold on TV. I also remember bits and pieces of both Kennedy's funerals. I watched the launch/explosion of Challenger and the descent of Columbia. The first time I was allowed to stay up all night was when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. I am hoping that I will be where-ever the launch will be for the first Manned Mars mission. I want to be there personally.

Does ' pro-lifer' always identify a religious person?
kiramea comments on Jan 22, 2018:
I personally am adamantly against abortion, however I feel it's not the government or religion's right to tell a woman what is best for them. Because I am against abortion, I've never had one. I have also offered to drive a friend and wait with her when she went to get an abortion, and I almost paid for my daughter to have on (she decided on her own not to get one). This is a very personal decision for a woman, and should be made by her and her family/significant other (if SHE wants to involve them).

kiramea comments on Jan 22, 2018:
I have a friend whose daughter has been unable to get pregnant. She had set up a go fund me to pay for In vetro fertilization because they used up all their savings on a failed one. Doing that isn't a problem though I find it in poor taste to ask people to fund their IV. My problem is that this family is anti-abortion stating that it's "God's will" if a person becomes pregnant. Well, if it's "God's will" when a person becomes pregnant, wouldn't it be "God's will" if they don't? I just love it when people invoke God when it suits them.

kiramea comments on Jan 22, 2018:
The problem with a one child policy is that some couples will feel forced into gender selection. They tried it in China, and they now have a huge gap in the availability of girls as boys are the preferred gender. What I feel needs to be done is have mandatory family/child rearing classes in school. Too many people go into parenthood without knowing the pros and cons and are completely unprepared for the responsibility. As for genetic manipulation.... it reminds me too much of Khan Noonien Singh of Star Trek. I know you are just talking about eradication of diseases and disabilities, but the possibility of it going towards making the "perfect" human is too great. I'm not sure if I would want that.

kiramea comments on Jan 21, 2018:

kiramea comments on Jan 18, 2018:
The first time I dyed my hair was in 7th grade. For me, it was really embarrassing to have gray hair that young. I finally got used to it, and let it go until my mid 40's. That's when I started dying it. I finally got tired of all the retouch, and let it go natural. My hair is 95 percent gray. I'm about to buy some hair chalk combs and see how that works. It would be interesting to have a different color funky color whenever I want it.

Have you experienced the slap, kick, and punch of big pharma?
kiramea comments on Jan 16, 2018:
If it wasn't for Medicare and Medicaid I would have had to fork over more than $100,000 for my bypass surgery. Also, since Walmart is the only "preferred" pharmacy in my area, if I refill my meds anywhere but Walmart it would cost me more than $600 a month versus $28 at Walmart. This isn't necessarily big pharma, but insurance/anything medical is just as bad.

Anyone else here having difficult problems dealing with elderly parents
kiramea comments on Jan 15, 2018:
My mother passed 26yrs ago. Step-father found her on the floor of their house. Apparently she got out of bed and dropped dead from a heart attack before she even hit the floor. My father recently passed from multiple cancers. Step-mother banned his children from even visiting him preferring her "good Christian" friends that will pray for his recovery instead (she essentially told us that). After he died she wanted all four kids to sign a paper stating that we were horrible children and hated our father; then she would drop the lawsuit keeping us from probating the will. We all refused; will got probated anyway because it was determined that she was not in it due to the prenup they signed. I had no problem dealing with difficult parents; my problems was after death. Hopefully with all the payable on deaths that I've signed my children will have an easier time.

Why do people wait until they end up in prison and/or the hospital to find religion??
kiramea comments on Jan 10, 2018:
My last boyfriend insisted that he would NEVER convert to Christianity; after all he was a Druid priest. Then our house was raided and computers/cell phones/tablets confiscated. Apparently he was frequenting a pedophiles account on 4chan and exchanging images. Arrested, and pled down to 10 counts of possession and one count of distribution of child porn (he had over 500 images on his computer). The day before sentencing he was baptized a Christian and married a "fine Christian woman". All because he thought it would give him a lighter sentence and easier time in prison. Don't know/don't care if it worked, but I do know that his "wife" divorced him less than a year into the sentence and he is listed again as pagan. I can't tell you why others converted, but I would think it would also be to have an easier time in prison. As for the hospital, I have no clue.
