Just this guy, you know. Extra credit identifying that one.

You could describe me as a recovering Southern Baptist. Surprisingly, given my background, my politics tend toward progressive.

I am a vegetarian and don't drink, smoke, or do drugs. I'm not much into movies, but do enjoy live theater. I am a singer/songwriter, sometimes recording engineer, and also host a weekly open mic in Long Beach.

Other hobbies include law (I am not an attorney) and graphic arts.

Professionally, I have programmed computers, developed web sites, and developed and used cutting edge technology marketing.

Guess I'm just your basic 21st century Renaissance dude.

And as my late friend, Roz Larman, once told her radio audience, "All this, ladies, and he cooks, too."

And, if nothing else, the people who spend that much time worrying about undocumented immigrants are obviously having their mental health effected.

Keep the noise level down after 11:00 pm until 7:00 am (actually that's a city ordinance, not a rule here). There are occasional Bible studies here put on by a resident, but I doubt that more than ten people attend. Our Representative is Alan Lowenthal, a solid Democrat with some progressive tendencies. The area offers an abundance of music, art, theater, poetry, good (but not necessarily expensive) restaurants, and opportunities to interact with other people. I've never been there, but there is a senior center less than two mile away.

This is a blatant violation of 18 USC 201( b )(1) by Trump, and a blatant violation of 18 USC 201( b )(2) by the Senators accepting the money. The appropriate response would be to lock up the Senators right before the Senate vote was taken. A conviction only requires the votes of two thirds of *those present*. That's reasonable for a start. I want a thorough investigation into the ballot counts in the the key states. If that proves, as I believe it will, that the ballot count was tampered with in Trump's favor, his election should be declared a fraud. Since nothing resulting from a fraud can stand legally, that would mean every order he, and all of his appointees, made would be null and void. It would also nullify all of his judicial appointments. Dealing with the nullification would take a major committee. The best person to head that committee would be Barack Obama. Trump should get to watch coverage of Obama systematically undoing everything Trump had done. I would suggest 20 hours a day on CNN via the 50" TV permanently mounted on the wall of his solitary prison cell. As for which prison, my first choice would be the NY State Maximum Security Facility in Clinton, NY. Oh, and no phone. One of my friends said that this would be cruel and unusual punishment that would reduce Trump to a drooling idiot. And this would differ from his present condition how?

With Medicare for All, health care could cost as much as $32T over ten years. How much more would we spend under our current system? It will cost at least $10T more and we still have a significant percentage of our population uninsured or underinsured. Right now over 20% of what we pay for "health care" goes to pay insurance companies. We can easily afford Medicare for All if we: 1) redirect that money to true health care (leaving 3% to 5% to cover administrative costs). 2) remove the restrictions on bargaining with pharmaceutical companies. Whatever shortfall that is left (if any) could be more than made up by taking taxes back to Reagan era levels. The people who propose Medicare for Some are the real luftmenschen here. Every cent that goes to private insurance companies (for anything other than strictly optional coverage) is money being diverted from providing health care for everyone.
