@Frctnal, I'm afraid he will pick Kamala Harris. On paper she checks all of the boxes as a great running mate. She is female, minority, and gives the ticket geographic balance being from from California. Unfortunately, her record makes her one of the last people I would vote for. She's ahead of most Republicans and Michael Bloomberg, but not by much.
Warren is dropping out. I'm sad.
silverotter11 comments on Mar 5, 2020:
*Damn* I really wanted Sanders/Warren or Warren/Sanders. If Biden gets it (which I'm sure he will) he would be wise - IMHO - to ask either Sanders or Warren to be his running mate.
mcgeo52 replies on Mar 5, 2020:
@silverotter11, a majority in the Senate and House may be the most important thing we could get, especially if Trump is re-elected. At least that way it would be a real trial with evidence and witnesses, and a secret vote.

mcgeo52 replies on Mar 5, 2020:
I would not bet on Biden getting it. Look at the history of the two candidates. Biden had never won a Presidential primary race until South Carolina. Bernie has been the underdog in many races he won, including when he became mayor of Burlington. Having said that, right now I'm not putting money on Bernie, either. But a head to head race definitely works better for Bernie than the clown car set up that he was facing.

And it is down to basically a two man contest. This gives Bernie a better shot at 1,991 delegates.
Well, two candidates decided to call it quits, Buttigieg and Steyer.
mcgeo52 comments on Mar 2, 2020:
Klobuchar is only staying in to keep Bernie from getting delegates from Minnesota. The DNC's strategy all along has been to have as many candidates as possible so it becomes impossible for any one candidate (i.e., Bernie) to get a majority.
mcgeo52 replies on Mar 2, 2020:
@Freedompath. I saw that shortly after I posted this.
Well, Bernie is still ahead in the delegate count, and in position to do well on Super Tuesday.
Athena comments on Mar 1, 2020:
Trump won in only 41 states and took the nomination. Bernie won't win them all, but he is still the front runner. The other candidates are so terrible that he still has the best chance.
mcgeo52 replies on Mar 1, 2020:
If Bernie has a significant plurality going into the convention, and the super delegates deny him the nomination, the DNC will lose all credibility with Bernie's supporters, Given the percentage of Millennials who support Bernie, that could mean the death of the Democratic Party.

@GipsyOfNewSpain, what did you expect the Bernie supporters to do after Hillary and the DNC not only rigged the primary, but then on the last day of the convention HRC had all of the Sanders delegates barred from being being inside? Brilliant move when you need to unite the party. Then, when it was obvious that HRC was in trouble in the key battleground states, the Bernie people who were trying to help Hillary warned her and asked what they could do to help? She blew them off. Michael Moore tried to warn her. She blew him off. No less an expert on US Presidential elections and politics than William Jefferson Clinton tried to warn her. She blew him off. Hillary Rodham Clinton, and her extreme narcissistic entitlement, deserves the blame for her loss. BTW, if you know that all of the supporters for the other candidates will vote blue, no matter who, but that you won't get the vote from Bernie's supporters if the DNC rigs the nomination again, what kind of idiots are in charge at the DNC that they are openly trying to stop Bernie???

You wrote, "And it's unconstitutional to even push socialism in this country and a push it. Is unconstitutional in itself" Looking past the fact that what you wrote only vaguely resembles coherent English, it is also blatantly false. have you ever heard of the First Amendment? Assuming the Dems take the White House one of the first things they should do is investigate the Banana Republicans in the Senate to find out which of them were threatened or bribed regarding their votes on impeachment. Then every one of the guilty parties should be indicted, tried, convicted and sent to federal prison, and not Club Fed.

@Marionville, WW II was caused in large part by the onerous reparations placed on Germany after WW I. For them it was about money and power. The Japanese were basically forced to fight for the oil they needed. The bankers have been pulling strings and causing wars since at least Waterloo.

@Marionville, you may have a point about WW I; it was about stupidity. WW II was all about money, natural resources (mostly oil), and power. GHW Bush's father, Prescott Bush, and Prescott's father-in-law, George Herbert Walker, were financing Hitler while Poppy (GHW B) was in boot camp. That is an example of Republican family values at their finest.
