Not just the Republicans. This was a large part of Hillary's "winning" the nomination. The exit polls were consistently off by 3% or more in the Democratic primaries, but never off by even 0.5% in the Republican primaries. The polls were done by the same company at the same time.

I won't be surprised if that proves to be an understatement. There is a DoJ policy of not releasing anything for 60 days prior to an election. That doesn't mean that Mueller and the feds took 60 days off. As of November 7 I would advise: Have plenty of popcorn on hand. Don't stand in front of any fans. Buckle up, buttercup.

If you thought that Texas was scraping the bottom of the barrel with Bush, just realize that they replaced him with Rick Perry. Just when you thought they couldn't possibly find anyone dumber, Texas Republicans said, "Hold my beer," and nominated Abbott. I don't know if you remember the whole Jade Helm conspiracy freak out among the right wing in 2015. Jade Helm is an annual DoD exercise in the southwest US. The right wing nut jobs were convinced it was a plot for the military to invade and take over the US. Yeah, that dumb. If I were advising the Governor, I would have had him go on Saturday night live and read "Headlines" such as: Dallas Morning News: Texas in Danger of Falling as Army Captures Fort Hood Austin American Statesman: Threat Grows as US Establishes Air Superiority by Controlling Shepard and Lackland Air Force Bases. Huston Chronicle: College Station Falls as Aggies Report for ROTC Classes What did Abbott do? He called out the Texas State Guard to monitor the situation. If I had to pick a specific date for the beginning of the decline, it would be August 23, 1971. That was the day that the Powell Memo was first published. That was the beginning of the end of the great American middle class. Can this still be reversed? Possibly, but we have a small and shrinking ...

mcgeo52 replies on Oct 11, 2018:
I don't know that I would go the tar and feathers route. I would rather see them all charged with vilsting the Lindberg Law (i.e., federal kidnapping statute) and sent to prison as kidnappers.

Kavanaugh was not held liable even to the point of a complete investigation. The fact that there were dozens of witnesses that the White House refused to let the FBI interview speaks volumes as to Kavanaugh's "innocence". Give us as thorough an investigation of Kavanaugh as there was of Cosby and your position might have some validity.

RavenCT comments on Oct 1, 2018:
This is what is known as a "Viral Meme". It is dubbed "mostly false" by snopes. Here's the link. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/hillary-clinton-freed-child-rapist-laughed-about-it/ I'm not saying they've never done anything bad. But this one does not appear to be true.
mcgeo52 replies on Oct 1, 2018:
If you read the Snopes piece on this, you will find that Hillary filed a brief in which she quoted other people as saying the girl made up the story. From the point of view of the 12 year old, what is the difference between that and Hillary actually telling the judge the girl made up the story? Hillary did a classic defense of a rapist, which starts with blaming the victim, even the Snopes account verifies this. The quote on the bottom half of the meme is questionable, but that does not IMHO justify what Hillary did to the 12 year old.
