@Charlene, if the Dems take the House in November, the Speaker in January will almost certainly be a Dem so Ryan's retirement is a nonissue. I expect Pence to resign or be arrested before tRump resigns. I said I have a scenario where it actually makes sense that the Dems would choose a Republican as Speaker. Buckle up. For starts it would have to be a moderate Republican that they could work with. There are two reasons for choosing such a person: 1) This would be an act of statesmanship aimed at healing our country. I know it sounds too radical, but such things have happened. 2) What the new President needs to do is have a full investigation into the 2016 election. If there was fraud, the President needs to issue an Executive Order declaring the fraud. This means that the validity of anything tRump did as "President" could be challenged and overturned. That would include all of his appointments, and everything done by all of his appointees. It would also include all of his judicial appointments. If a Dem were to do that, no matter how right and legal it would be, there would be blood in the streets. A Republican might actually be able to pull it off.

History will remember.

@AncientNight, I would suggest that you start with the ukulele now and by solstice you will be able to teach your grandson a few songs. BTW, the hardest part of playing the Autoharp is tuning it. The electronic tuners available now (e.g., Snark) make that fairly simple.

Complex my ass. The players are exercising their right to freedom of speech to brng light to an issue that needs all the light it can get. Yes, the players are on the clock, and their bosses can place restrictions on them, but they were not doing so until tRump stepped in and said "Fire the sons of bitches." That was the only real complicating factor. tRump's comment was not only divisive, it was also a violation of !8 USC 227 which is punishable by 15 years in federal prison banishment from federal office for life. In other words, the whole problem is the result of just another in tRump's long lie of impeachable offenses. Get rid of tRump and then we can discuss just how "complex" the problem really is.

Since we are speaking the truth about Clinton, I want to point out what a huge mistake it was for the Dems in the Senate to put politics in front of principle and vote to not convict Clinton. The man lied under oath to federal court; nobody questioned that fact. The right thing to do in those circumstances is vote to convict.
