I expect Pence to resign or be arrested before tRump resigns. I said I have a scenario where it actually makes sense that the Dems would choose a Republican as Speaker. Buckle up. For starts it would have to be a moderate Republican that they could work with. There are two reasons for choosing such a person: 1) This would be an act of statesmanship aimed at healing our country. I know it sounds too radical, but such things have happened. 2) What the new President needs to do is have a full investigation into the 2016 election. If there was fraud, the President needs to issue an Executive Order declaring the fraud. This means that the validity of anything tRump did as "President" could be challenged and overturned. That would include all of his appointments, and everything done by all of his appointees. It would also include all of his judicial appointments. If a Dem were to do that, no matter how right and legal it would be, there would be blood in the streets. A Republican might actually be able to pull it off.

@AncientNight, start by learning four chords, C, Am, F, and G7 (orG). You will be amazed at how many songs you can play with just those four chords; some songs only use two or three chords. For instance, this song only uses three of those chords, C, F, and G7. That will get you started, and hopefully motivated enough to learn a few more chords. There are some excellent resources on line for learning ukulele. That's pretty much how I did it.

@VAL3941, I knew it worked in California. My conversation with Otafiire confirmed that it also worked in Africa. It took less than 50 years to break up all but two of the ranchos in Southern California. The rest were sold off piece by piece to pay the property taxes. The two that were not broken up had income to pay the taxes. One had artesian wells and sold the water. The other was a very successfully run cattle ranch. Most of those two were finally sold off to developers when the land value got high enough. I like the idea for two reasons: 1) There is no confiscation involved. 2) If the land is being used to produce enough income to pay the taxes, why not leave well enough alone and use the tax money to benefit everyone? BTW, Rancho Dominguez is the one with the water. A piece of it was deeded to the state in lieu of estate taxes. That land became the campus for California State University Dominguez Hills.

@VAL3941, I remember a conversation I had with then Col. (now Major General) Kahinda Otafiire, in Kampala in 2004. At that time he was the Minister of Water, Lands, and the Environment. He explained how the government was redistributing the "milo" (i.e., British granted) land. They simply taxed the land on an almost exponential curve. That is, you paid a minimal tax on a plot just slightly larger than what would support you and your family. As the size of the land holding went up the taxes went up geometrically, not linearly. That was the same approach that California used to break up the Spanish granted ranchos.
