I think I went rage blind for a couple minutes when I overheard a woman calling Dr.
mcgeo52 comments on Sep 28, 2018:
Glad to hear you managed that well.
There are only 2 possible answers but hundreds of ways to say them, discuss.
mcgeo52 comments on Sep 28, 2018:
Depending on the preceding sentence(s) it could have possibly be a third female.
What items on a person’s profile here make them an easy ‘Nope!’ for dating?
mcgeo52 comments on Sep 27, 2018:
Smoker. Member of any organized religion, with a possible exception for Buddhism. Trump supporter, or other right wing connections. While not an absolute 'Nope,' I prefer dating someone who does not drink alcohol or use weed, especially excessively. I also find bad grammar to be a turn off (but bad Gramma can be a different story ;-) ).
Both of the assholes that represent Texas believe that rape is OK with them.

Democrats aren’t doing their jobs!
mcgeo52 comments on Sep 27, 2018:
The emails released by Corey Booker proved that Kavanaugh committed perjury before the full Senate at his confirmation hearing, and before the Committee on the Judiciary at the current hearing. If the Dems on the Committee were really interested in doing the right thing, they could and should make a major issue out of this.
When does this circus end?
mcgeo52 comments on Sep 27, 2018:
Not soon enough.
I'm going to try something a little less insensitive.

WHY THE RUSH TO CONFIRM?
mcgeo52 comments on Sep 27, 2018:
The Dems may be able to undo it. There is solid evidence that Kavanaugh committed perjury before the Senate during his confirmation hearing, and also before the Committee on the Judiciary during the current hearing. Those charges would be grounds for impeachment. If there was a shred of integrity left among the Republicans it would be enough to have him tossed off the bench completely, not elevated to the Supreme Court.

Another woman comes forward accusing Kavanaugh of sexual assault. [huffingtonpost.com]
mcgeo52 comments on Sep 25, 2018:
My question is why did any of these women have to put themselves through this to keep Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court? Please do not misunderstand my question. I have nothing but the greatest respect for these brave women. But why should they have to put their lives on the line (literally, given the threats against Christine Blasey Ford)? Kavanaugh should not even still be being considered for the Supreme Court. The emails released by Corey Booker absolutely prove that Kavanaugh committed perjury under oath before the Senate during his confirmation hearing, and before the Committee on the Judiciary during the current hearing. That works out to multiple counts of a federal felony. Why hasn't anybody on the Committee asked him, "Judge Kavanaugh, in light of the fact that you committed perjury before the full Senate at your confirmation hearing, and you have lied under oath to this committee, why should we elevate you to the Supreme Court instead of demanding that you step down off the bench? If you don't have the character and integrity to take responsibility for your action and resign, you don't have the character and integrity that I believe should be required of a Supreme Court Justice."
I'm bringing this up one time because we are a co-group.

I only started writing songs when I was 58 years old, but have written over two dozen since then. They are almost all protest songs that sing while accompanying myself on ukulele. Since elementary school I have done graphic arts and editorial cartoons. These days I mostly create memes and T-shirt designs. Other creative outlets include designing web sites, programming, writing legal briefs, and cooking. Recently started dabbling in video editing and animation.

I still remember one Sunday evening about 30 years ago. KPFK, the listener sponsored Pacifica station in LA was having a fund drive. I called in to support one of my favorite programs, Folkscene. Having become friends with the hosts, Howard and Roz Larman, I had had them over for dinner a few times when I had a condo in their neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley. I had since moved to Orange County and called in my pledge from Huntington Beach. After back announcing a few songs, Howard read the list of people who had pledged. He said a few nice things about "our friend, Geo., from Huntington Beach" and then Roz chimed in with, "All this, ladies, and he cooks, too."
Brett Kavanaugh should be toast if this is true.

One day she was there and heard me order a caprese. She asked if I liked avocado? I told her I love avocado. She just looked at the young lady making my sandwich, grinned and exchanged nods with her. Yeah, avocado on a caprese sandwich is good stuff. The one thing they left off the recipe posted here is the balsamic glaze.

I once took on Harvard when they had one of my T-shirt designs pulled off of CafePress. Details are at http://interestingtimes.info/2006q1/20060601.html. After I talked with their outside counsel it took them less than 24 hours to back down. I was talking with my friend who had assisted me with the legal research for the case and asked him why they had even bothered? He said, "They thought they were going to intimidate you." I asked, "What?" He was halfway through repeating his answer when he started laughing. That's not to say I have never been intimidated, just that it doesn't happen easily.
