I guess I qualify to answer the question. Once I realized what an absurd belief system it all is, I knew that I wasn't going to worry about hell. Actually it was the concept of hell that started unwinding the whole Baptist/Evangelical thing for me. After all, how could a loving God send someone to hell just for never having heard of Jesus?

A local market/deli here in Long Beach makes a really good caprese sandwich. I've known the manager for a few years (I believe since before she started there). One day she was there and heard me order a caprese. She asked if I liked avocado? I told her I love avocado. She just looked at the young lady making my sandwich, grinned and exchanged nods with her. Yeah, avocado on a caprese sandwich is good stuff. The one thing they left off the recipe posted here is the balsamic glaze.

I once took on Harvard when they had one of my T-shirt designs pulled off of CafePress. Details are at http://interestingtimes.info/2006q1/20060601.html. After I talked with their outside counsel it took them less than 24 hours to back down. I was talking with my friend who had assisted me with the legal research for the case and asked him why they had even bothered? He said, "They thought they were going to intimidate you." I asked, "What?" He was halfway through repeating his answer when he started laughing. That's not to say I have never been intimidated, just that it doesn't happen easily.

mcgeo52 comments on Sep 11, 2018:
There is a lot more to this than what was shown in 1:50. A whole lot. And it will be coming out. Just one small point that came up here involved Ivana Trump, and the fact that she was involved with trump at the time he began to deal with the Russian mob. A friend on Facebook posted: "My father was born in Czechoslovakia, and, consequently, I was raised in the American Czech Underground fighting against the Soviet Mafia, who stole my Grandfather's property, and then killed him. I wonder if our journalists will get around to the fact that Trump's first wife, Soviet Czech born KGB operative, was the one who turned Trump and connected him to the KGB Soviet Mafia. Know that there is not, and has never been, a difference between the Soviets, the KGB, and the "Russian Mafia". These life long criminals should NOT be mistaken for the Russian people; who have been victims of such criminals for hundreds of years." Then there is the KGB operation that I posted an article about previously https://agnostic.com/post/165055/overall-we-rate-the-epoch-times-right-center-biased-and-high-for-factual-reporting-about-usa-news. It was set up to traffic in and use underage girls for kompromat. I find it almost impossible to believe that the Trump Modeling Agency was not tied to that operation. Oh, yeah. There is plenty more that will be coming out.

"Just obey the law"? How many times have I gone to court to beat bogus traffic tickets? I've lost count, but it has been at least two dozen. And then there was the time I was arrested for exercising my First Amendment rights and handing out flyers on a public sidewalk. That one was so bogus that the City Prosecutor refused to take it to court and the city settled with me rather than go to court. And I'm an older white guy. I was 60 when they arrested me with the flyers. I have heard from friends of mine their horror stories bout driving while black, or riding a bicycle while black. There is nothing in the law requiring anyone to be white. Just sue the bastards when they violate your rights is more like it. BTW, in case you are wondering, the flyers were welcoming the TED Conference attendees to Long Beach and offering them discounts at local restaurants. Obviously hateful and seditious literature.
And the fun just never stops.

What is your current guess for how long before we are rid of tRump?
mcgeo52 comments on Sep 6, 2018:
We are looking at a number of factors. Two key people to watch are Pence and Ryan. If you see both of them resign or be removed from office, expect tRump to resign very shortly thereafter. Don't be shocked if it happens before the end of the year. The reason they will be gone is that Robert Mueller is too much a patriot to see two Presidents leave office in disgrace back to back. If it is obvious that the Dems will control the House as of January, it doesn't make sense for the Republicans to try to hold onto tRump. If there is even a hint that Mueller will have enough hard evidence that the Senate will have to convict, he will also have enough on Pence that Pence will resign. With Pence and tRump gone, the Speaker of the House would become President. With the Dems in control of the House odds are that the Speaker would not be a Republican (although I have a scenario where that actually makes sense). In the situation described above, the only way the Republicans can guarantee that they will hold the White House until 2020 is to replace tRump and Pence before January. It's really fairly simple political calculus. Besides, by that point the Republicans should realize just how toxic trump is for their party.
History will remember.
