I describe myself as partly "spiritual" in that I believe in energy, goodness, potential and that all our choices affect the entire web of humanity. I say "web" because I think we're all interconnected in some way and our actions have a ripple effect throughout the world. Our energy is intertwined and our choices/actions, good or bad, stem from behavioral patterns/cues handed down through the generations. But I also think there is a natural duality within all of us that reflects a complex pattern for survival. When one's energy is irreparably poisoned by any number of toxic conditions, the ripple effect challenges the light in others. My outlook is more Darwinian, but our frontal lobe gives us choices. Those choices create a spectrum of light to dark. Luckily, choices enable humans to transcend and break free of suffering.
