Divorced professional Jewish homeowner (small farm, my third). Born in rural NJ, moved to beautiful WNC age 10. Back to Brown for college, Massachusetts for some graduate work, then around the country for career and marriages.

My "God" is the god of Spinoza (and Einstein)--the natural universe, understood abstractly as infused by natural lawful regularities, (amazingly) cognizable by us through proper observation, reason and math. And worthy of the awe and wonder usually reserved for a theistic deity. Tends one toward "earth religion," animism, etc. even if not literally.

I believe in a sustainable food production system and economy, a healthy lifestyle based on that (real, traditional cooking methods and ingredients. And I'm pretty good at that.)
