@TomMcGiverin I lived in the record store in Ogden Utah. That is where I went to college so of course they were several years behind everyone else. In 82 when I moved to San Diego I about died while I saw I was the only one still wearing bell bottoms, which were still the norm in Utah. I did see some great shows while there, Fleetwood Mac, The Who, and believe it or not the Grateful Dead. Nothing more bizarre than tripping with 10,000 people and Utah at the Salt Palace. It was your typical concert venue and every entryway all the way around the arena what's packed with people dancing. All the guys had their shirts off. Only time I've ever done that at a concert! I never understood why so many people were crazy about them until I went to the show. Then I Saw the Light.

I had my own show and remember how I thought Rock Lobster was so stupid. 4 years later the B-52's were one of my favorite bands. It pisses me off that I listened to classic rock between 78 and 85, I should have been listening to the New Wave stuff. I must say though I did a good job catching up. Being in Southern California made it easy and my girlfriend turned me on to everything. Almost everybody played San Diego and if not I saw them in Orange County. And another thing that is great is that listening to progressive rock, you keep up with today's music. Listening to defunct bands isn't really conducive to growing musically.

My music tastes completely changed except for some 70s icons such as the Beatles,Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Yes, ELP and Janis Joplin. Mirror in the bathroom I think it's my favorite but it's been a long time since I've heard them. Thanks for the f y c. My favorite of theirs was probably their biggest hit, she drives me crazy.I saw these guys several times over the years. They usually played at San Diego State University's outdoor Amphitheater. Probably my favorite mid-sized venue. Remember midnight oil? They had the most bizarre looking guy that would dance during the show. Very tall skinny white and bald. Fantastic dancer. He would be all over the stage. He looked. Like the lead singer of the cramps in skin tone and build. Anyway one time I saw him again at SDSU except he was with another band. So weird. I never could figure out who he was. He was always present for Midnight Oil though.

I just saw you live in Westerville! I got my first editorial job out of graduate school at Charles Merrill Publishing which was out in Westerville at the time. I lived in the city in the Short North. I didn't really like Columbus so after I got a couple years experience, I moved to Atlanta.

@DeStijl no I left here in 1978. I fell off a ladder in my house and went to the doctor in 2011 because I thought I broke my ankle or foot. I got x-rays and they said it was okay. Last fall I had to get an operation on my pinky toe and after they took the x-rays my podiatrist asked me when I'd broken my foot! So I guess we have something else in common. Thank goodness my foot healed properly without a cast.

Then again, I took out $1,800 at the bank today, the teller (who I know) and her trainee both counted out my withdrawal and I had to correct them because it was $100 short! @SeaGreenEyez that's true but I did take income tax as an elective. I'm sure I know nothing compared to what you know but I do know the church is exempt. I didn't even mean to make taxation an issue. That was really an afterthought. My main problem is the church becoming involved in politics which is prohibited under their exemption. That was a poorly-written post. It looks like I am emphasizing taxation as an issue as opposed to the church becoming involved in politics. My fault. PS Will you help me with my taxes this year?

What years did you live here? I love the Short North. I grew up in Worthington. Went to Utah for college and then San Diego for grad school. I just came back in 2005 for a girl which lasted a year! I had to stay after then to take care of my mom. I will be headed back there when my mom is gone, or sooner if I can save enough money.

Of course I know that. I am an attorney. My primary concern is that there should be and absolute bar to any commingling of the church and state on any issue whatsoever. Separation of church and state is a well-established doctrine in jurisprudence.

@DeStijl I cried uncontrollably to if you leave one evening after I lost the love of my life. I just played it over and over and cried and cried. Still brings tears to my eyes. I love the Smiths of course, and got to hang out with Dave Wakeling several times. I was in San Diego from 1982 until 2005 and Dave lived right up the coast. I couldn't have been in a better City for music. I worked security at a couple clubs and got to party with a lot of artists. Devo called me Dave 3. LOL I feel uncomfortable naming all the artists I got to party with as it sounds like I'm bragging but if you want to know I will tell you.

My CNP prescribes all my medication. The main issue besides the one I addressed is that they are against the bill in its entirety. Who is allowed to write the prescription is really a minor issue, especially in light of the fact the medication is going to be used to cause your death. My fault, I should have been more clear. There is no legal euthanasia at all currently allowed in New Mexico.

@MissKathleen life is way too short to spend time on stuff like that. I mean when you can't even get Trump supporters to listen to facts what chance do you have with someone who has a Bible they believe to be true. I always just ignore them too. Before I joined this group I had not discussed religion since I was a teenager.Too bad we even have to spend time doing this but otherwise this country would turn into a theocracy. @EyesThatSmile isn't it great when they give you a good setup. Yesterday someone posted it was 25 below zero where they were and asked the temperature where the reader was. I told them it was 72 where I was, in my bedroom.
