My mother was a very religious Catholic. When I was about 10 years old my mother brought me to the church for religious instruction with a big nun who wore a habit. There were other kids there and I was talking to some kids I knew so the nun grabbed me pulled me out of the pew and dragged me over to a wooden statue of Jesus in the back of the church. She wanted me to apologize to Jesus and kiss the feet of the wooden statue. I said "NO!" She tried to force me down I my knees...I pushed her back....rewarded her with a few expletives....and ran out of the church and went home. Needless to say this created a big fight with my Mom....my father sided with me,,,,and I never went back to that church.

nicknotes comments on Apr 30, 2018:
From what I see ....there never was a credible plan to replace the Affordable Health Care plan. Some of my ideas for health care... Affordable Health Care 1) Doctors pay over one hundred thousand in mal-practice premiums each year. Cap awards for mal-practice Tighten standards of evidence to prove mal-practice Try mal-practice cases before a 3 medical professional panel which can levy fines, make reasonable awards, and suspend licenses. Force doctors to lower fees since they are saving on insurance. 2) THE AMA limits the number of new doctors educated in USA. Stop this practice. More doctors will result in lower medical fees. 3) Lower the time limit on new drug protection for big pharma. Generics sooner will mean drug savings. 4) Doctors are locked into protocols to treat each disease. Allow more innovation of new techniques. Stop unnecessary tests mandated by a protocol. 5) Provide financial incentives for those that don't smoke, maintain healthy weight, don't use illegal drugs, and have normal blood pressure.

nicknotes comments on Apr 19, 2018:
Why Didn’t Jesus Do Something? If Jesus is God, as many Christians believe that he is, why didn’t he look into the future when he was on earth, and take action to fix the problems that arose because of Christianity, and his followers, after he went to Heaven. For example, Jesus’ followers argued about the nature of God. Some said God was a unity, some said God was a Trinity, they argued and they killed each other. But the problem is that the Bible is ambiguous about the nature of God. Jesus could have foreseen this deadly dispute and had the Bible writers explain the nature of God in absolutely clear certain terms. Jesus could have foreseen the Catholic Protestant disputes, with its wars and millions dying and had the Bible written so the Catholic Protestant differences would not have come about. But Jesus did nothing. What about the murdering of Jews, Heretics, and Homosexuals? Slavery? Suppression of Science? Book burning? Jesus could have had the Bible written to preclude his followers from taking slaves and murdering in his name. But Jesus did nothing. What about Atheists, who require proof in order to believe? Why didn’t Jesus provide indisputable proof? Billions of people believe that Jesus is God and that he loves mankind. But when he could have acted to benefit man he failed. That’s why I think Jesus is a fraud. His story is just fiction. And Jesus did not rise from the dead. Jesus’ inaction just proves that if he ever was, he died, and we never heard from him again.
