I'm a problem solver at heart. I enjoy folks who, like me, value scientific inquiry over pseudoscience. I have two adult children who don't live with me. Family is really important to me, and I feel lucky that most of mine live close by.
Life changed so drastically over the last 4-5 years. The conflicts that we faced as a society forced changes in how we live, work, and even how we find joy. I found my own joy by going outside to play! I have always felt that humans should be good stewards of the Earth. But, approaching each adventure with the intention to explore and appreciate the natural environment with all of my senses was like watching a Mickey Mouse cartoon in full Technicolor. Five years ago, if someone would have told me that the "future me" would dig viewing wildlife with binoculars, I would have thought that they were confusing me with someone else.
Along with appreciating the natural world, I follow MLB, and I'm working on perfecting my green thumb. I hope to retire within ten years. I have found that professional success in a fulfilling career in non-profit management offers a positive outlet to channel my efforts as well as great intellectual satisfaction.
I live a pretty happy life. Including another like-minded human into it could only enrich it further.
