All life is sacred in the same way, & I am limiting myself to human life here, for how nature does her balancing act brings too much confusion to this question if added. All human life is sacred in the same degree, it is wrong to take a life for shit reasons, if any reason at all, & all of us deserve a chance. Are any folk smarter, more creative, able to contribute more than others? Of course, but that, in & of itself does not make that life more worth saving. For me, it is the same as the concept of human rights, we are all on the same footing. Otherwise, we go the "Animal Farm" route & say, "All pigs are equal, but some are more equal than others!" Even as an atheist, & someone that is pro-choice, I may value some over others, personally. I honestly would probably choose family & friends over strangers if I was put in that position. But, again, for me, it relates to my anti-death penalty views. If you murdered or ravished one of mine, I personally may want to take my time beating you to death, but that doesn't change my view that the State does not have that right or the moral standing to do so!

I see more posts on dating sites for hookups than for dating.

Though not averse to a hook-up, human touch is much missed, I'm, along with a lot of the guys, are sincerely looking for at least friendship/dating with hopes that it matures into a long-term relationship. Quite often distance is the killer on this site. Hang in there, there have been successes on this site, tho it is so much more than just a dating site!
