Trump tells Republicans not to vote in 2022 and 2024 if his election loss isn't "solved."

racocn8 comments on Oct 24, 2021:
When I moved into my first house, it had a stick in the ground. That stick grew quickly and in a few years, the plums grew so profusely, the branches looked like clusters of grapes with a few sad leaves sticking out between them. Plums rot into a messy glob, and I like a nice lawn, so it was all I could do to pick the plums off before they fell. I had to box them up and figure out who I could give them to. So I'd deliver box-fulls to all the control rooms at the facility. And they tasted just fabulous; tart and sweet; nirvana in your mouth. And then there were those that ripened faster than my picking. The globs got shoveled up along with the dog poo, and put into the same bucket. That became a problem as the two melted together into a stinky mass, sometimes increased by rain. I had a hard time figuring out what to do with that. Heaven never seems to have hell very far away...

racocn8 comments on Oct 24, 2021:
Are you sure they were an atheist? Christians often claim to have been atheists, or drug users, or sex addicts. Most will adopt some lie to tell the others and then embellish it over time. It's part of the degradation process... Francis Collins claims to have been an atheist, but doesn't know the definition of it, using the bogus pejorative Christian definition instead (that atheists are God-deniers rather than not believing).
How atheists have become racist.
racocn8 comments on Oct 30, 2021:
I didn't see anything about atheists becoming racist. I DID see that about 1/3 of atheist parents reported that their children experienced discrimination at the hands of religionists, presumably in secular schools. And it is a certainty that having religionists teach science means it will be taught incompetently. The religionists suit claims a secular education is intrinsically discriminatory. As the prevailing belief system, that is surely more culture war propaganda that anything based on reality.

The Benefits of Claiming "Atheism" for Atheists Should Not Be Ignored
racocn8 comments on Nov 14, 2021:
Unfortunately, the hate propaganda put out by the Christians has worked. The true definition of atheism has been obscured by the Christian definition. Fortunately, their pervasive hate campaign against everyone else is, at last, being recognized, along with their hypocrisy of ignoring their own precepts. The latter is a message atheists should echo, along with the honesty of atheism and the alignment with scientific facts.

I get the feeling, increasingly, that Christianity, especially evangelical, is a death cult.
racocn8 comments on Nov 24, 2021:
The love Christians talk about so much is, looking at their behavior, just so much hypocrisy. One might expect that Christians would be aware of their own beliefs and act accordingly: that would be rarely or never. The cursing of the fig tree being a prime example. Here, God, or the Son of God, curses a fig tree to death for not providing fruit ( even though it isn't the season). Taken literally, Jesus is destructive in response to his disappointment; hardly anything like a good example. Taken as allegory, Jesus's curse signifies God's disappointment in the Jews, and their curse is to lose God's favor which is transfered to the Gentiles. That's an ugly message to be interpreted out of a few verses. That is just a sample of the hate that permeates Christianity and Christians. And yet God's disappointment with the Jews is supposed to be based on their corruption in the world and the greed of gain. Yet all we see now is the Gospel of Prosperity (and hatred of women, non-whites, LBGT, science, etc). That, and the glaring absence of real moral principles.

The practice of religions results in a behavior modification process. The process generates several styles of personality disorders. One example is pathological narcissism. These people love to provoke and create drama. Everyone around them becomes a victim of their cruel behavior. Another pattern is passive-aggressive behavior. They delight in frustrating their peers by being lazy or even incompetent. The anxiety they see is a punishment of their peers not being like them. The posters in the excerpt above relates to those who have had empathy drained from their personality. They are, in effect, closet Nazis. As seen in Germany, vast swaths of the population were indifferent to the suffering inflicted by the regime, and were easily recruited to take part. Sadly, personality disorders are rarely helped by medication. However, if we study this issue, someday we may make progress.

Other countries have gone through a similar shift where a major share of residents lose their allegiance. Maybe Covid will speed it up a bit too. Many people will worry that the loss of declared affiliation will mean a rise in immorality. The unswerving allegiance of the Evangelicals to Trump proves they refuse to be offended by the most vile, degenerate and corrupt politician in American history. So much for Christian morality! The loyalty of each Evangelical to Trump proves they will ditch the morality their religion teaches; and then enact fawning fealty to a personalty cult. Gross!! And they are proud to be deplorable! They embrace the term. Eff'd up! No one expects Christianity to go away. But, in a millennium, perhaps Jesus will join Wotan, Zeus and Horus. Granted, something just as silly would likely replace it. And then there's Islam, Hinduism, etc. Perhaps humans will advance and fix whatever flaw it is that allows unlimited belief. Or, we might even learn a Truth. Religionists are taught from birth to lie as part of their religion. This is curious insofar as lying is one of the most basic violations of our moral code. Moral people know immediately when they consider telling a lie. All healthy people understand what lying is, and that it is immoral... And yet, religionists develop their dishonesty into a talent, telling just-so stories with a straight face, or as straight as they can manage. This is the essence of testifying or witnessing for god. The absurdity of these lies are often breath-taking, and one wonders at how people rationalize this perfidy in front of a god that can read their minds. Do they have no hesitation at what god thinks of their dishonesty? Mainly, this disregard for basic morality paves the road for the miserable conduct they go on to do for the rest of their lives.

But don't forget that it's not just the Trump Administration. You did mention that the Senate Republicans wouldn't vote to impeach, and that the impeachment proceeding was an utterly disgraceful sham, destroying all semblance to historic political norms of the US. That was a big step in a coup that ended the country. The Senators bequeathed unlimited power to Trump - - but why? It was not just self-serving, but many of the Senators are just as compromised as Trump is. And almost certainly, a goodly number of democrats are also in Putin's pocket. Tulsi and Kirsten are strong suspects, and probably several more too. Installing a fifth column has always been a strategy favored by the Russians. We know the NRA has helped orchestrate it. Real Effing Americans... Where it goes from here is unclear. Whichever side wins, Civil War is a very strong likelihood. And certainly meeting with Putin's approval. Civil War is actually here already, we just won't admit it. Next will be a mass shooting at one of Trump's rallies. Would you be surprised at all? It's a lot like Hitler. The industrialists funded him believing they could control him. They reckoned wrong and Germany was destroyed, along with a lot of those industries. We are very much on that same track. Nice and concise. In case anyone missed it, here is my summary. Trump produced numerous tweets criticizing Obama’s handling of the Ebola outbreak, so Trump had understanding and concern about pandemic outbreaks. He later took similar actions that he criticized Obama for. In 2015, Obama’s Susan Rice established the White House Global Health Security and Biodefense unit tasked with being responsible for pandemic preparedness. In 2017, the Obama administration walked incoming Trump administration officials through a pandemic scenario. Officials were told a pandemic would likely lead to shortages of ventilators. In May 2018, the GHSB pandemic preparedness team was disbanded and its head Timothy Ziemer, left the Trump administration. On January 29, 2019, the DNI (Director of National Intelligence) issued an annual report that warns on page 29 that, “The United States will remain vulnerable to the next flu pandemic or large-scale outbreak of a contagious disease that could lead to massive rates of death and disability, severely affect the world economy, strain international resources, and increase calls on the United States for support.” In 2019, from January to August, the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services conducts a simulated exercise with 12 U.S. States to respond to a severe influenza pandemic originating in China. The study found confusion between HHS, FEMA, and the Department of Homeland Security on which federal agency would take the lead in the crisis and that the US lacked the production capacity to meet the demands for protective equipment and medical devices. The published findings were completely ignored by Trump and the White House staff. A few months later, symptoms from the first cluster of confirmed cases in Wuhan emerged and began to be documented between Dec. 8 and Jan. 2. WHO was notified on December 31. On Jan. 22, A reporter asks Trump if there are worries about a pandemic. Trump responds: “No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s — going to be just fine.” Sometime toward the end of January 2019, Trump suppresses release of the next annual report from the DNI and it is never released. On January 29, Peter Navarro warned Trump that the pandemic would incur trillions of dollars in losses. The White House forms a coronavirus response task force. Jan. 30: The WHO declares a global health emergency. Trump blocks some travel from China. There was never a travel ban, only restrictions with gaping exceptions that included Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and every American returning home from China. Trump did not act before everybody else. His travel restrictions were effective as of February 2. Dozens of ...

I knew how Christians blamed Hitler on atheists or on Germans being German. They still do. It's like the Japanese who taught their children a wholly sanitized version of recent history. As I listened, I understood that the hate I heard must be pretty close to what happened in Germany. As I formed my non-belief, I recognized I was in a despised minority, and I mostly kept my identity secret. As I looked around to see all the Christian robots, incurious, schizophrenic, delusional, superficial and ignorant, I realized how these psychotic wanna-be mass murderers surrounded me. No, I Will Not Be ‘Reaching Out’ To Trump Voters, Now Or Ever.
racocn8 comments on Nov 12, 2020:
Wow, a really excellent article. I really liked some of the lines... "Before any attempt at “unity” can be made, there needs to be a reckoning, an acknowledgment that so many of Trump’s actions have been unconscionable and do not align with societal ideals that claim to value all life. Building bridges with people who share Trump’s views sends a clear message that you are willing to keep the peace at the expense of the dignity and well-being of those with less power and privilege." "I have spent the Trump years fearing that none of us will have the right to control our own reproductive choices if Trump has his way. " "Those who supported Trump, and those who still do, lack the compassion and the basic decency to recognize that every life has value."
How many courtrooms have they used in their attempt of a fake coup?
racocn8 comments on Nov 13, 2020:
The attempt to stage a coup is all too real. Nothing fake about it.
A horse's ass and a Clydesdale
racocn8 comments on Nov 29, 2020:
Cutting off a horses tail (which it would otherwise use to repel flies) is cruel and comes from a severely sexually repressed mind. It is very much like Trump's comment that having handicapped or amputated soldiers present for Veteran's Day was "...not a good look." Psychopathic vanity and insecurity. What would people say if they actually had to see a horses anus? Like they've never seen them before? This is such a fucked up society.
Actually started to get an. idea after Obama was elected.
racocn8 comments on Dec 4, 2020:
All you ever had to do was listen to the radio while driving through the red states. White Evangelicals are steeped in racism. They never got over the Civil War and they've used Obama and Trump to expand. The neonazis are out of the closet.
Biden caught saying the "Defund the Police" slogan hurt democrats.
racocn8 comments on Dec 10, 2020:
Yeah, really. Ya think? While I support the BLM issues, that also didn't help, nor the rioting, though much of that was likely started by White Nationalist opportunists, or actual Republican operatives.

First Line: "The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution. " Which is what anyone with a passing understanding of law knew. And yet you had 17 AG's and 104 Republican congressman sign on to it. What isn't said is that it DID constitute a desire to replace democracy with a Trump dictatorship. It IS sedition. These people are not Americans; they are degenerates willing to be Putin's stooges.

I hope it works that way. Mitch was discouraging Republican Senators from screwing around with the electoral count, and unseating Mitch may be a final Trump insult to one he views as betraying him.

Mitt represents the Mormon church, a mafia that is significantly different from and at odds with the Russian mafia. However, they are among the elite power centers, and can afford to disagree. None of the Families have the interests of US citizenry in their hearts.

So nobody misunderstands, these patriots, as Melania calls them, are patriots for Putin. They betray the country they pretend to love. Who was Jesus ?
racocn8 comments on May 20, 2019:
As noted, there are no contemporary records of said Jesus. Most of the story is plagiarized from previous myths so that if there were a Jesus, stripping out the previous myths leaves practically nothing of significance in terms of moral or ethical teachings. Also, the New Testament also has huge gaps in moral teaching, again, nothing denouncing slavery nor equal rights, etc. The most telling issue of all religious texts is the utter absence of informed understanding of humanity or of the universe. Nothing approaching divine wisdom is presented; just dopey stories that are ambiguous and readily misinterpreted. Definitely not the quality one would expect of an omnipotent deity.
Peterson thinks we got our ethics from our Judeo-Christian heritage.
racocn8 comments on Jul 9, 2019:
Peterson is a propagandist and demagogue for the right wing. At 3:05 he excoriates Sam Harris with an absurdity wherein he falsely claims Harris advocates that people give up their connection with the *grounding in the transcendent* , a concept he dishonestly substitutes for religiosity. The claim that people, especially religious people, have a connection, much less a splinter of experience with the transcendent is asinine. Nowhere does Sam Harris advocate a disconnection from the transcendent. Quite the opposite is true; Harris often speaks of the utility of entering meditative states. At 2:53, Peterson also equates the belief in god as being equal to having moral values. Again, zero connection. Then he presumes that non-belief means one believes they can do whatever they want. Wrong. Belief in god obviously never stops people from cruel immoral acts, and the attached dogma does a lot to promote violence. At 3:52, Peterson equates psychopathic behavior with naked self-interest. He would have you believe the president is not a wacko, but only self-interested. Sorry, but real psychopathic behavior has nothing to do with self-interest, naked or otherwise. At 3: 57, Peterson asks where is the pathway from rationality to egalitarianism, suggesting that there isn't one. The path is simple: seeing that one reacts with sadness and depression after seeing deprivation promotes the impulse to relieve the suffering with charity; that is egalitarianism. At 4:27, Peterson says Harris and Dawkins deny that noble values derive from religious mythology, and that they suppose moral values are simply intrinsic. That's correct, but he infers that morality comes from religious mythology, and that non-believers must therefore be immoral in their character. As Harris and Dawkins point out, that is wrong, wrong, wrong. It's the same BS argument of religionists. Ethical and moral behavior are NOT predicated on belief in god, and to say so is an obvious lie. Peterson is a diarrhea-spewing asshole.

If only it were so. The treasonous Rethuglicans certainly deserve to be replaced. They prove democracy is a sham if it allows every idiot cultist to vote. It's one thing to have one's own opinion, but it's another thing if that opinion is based on easily disproved myths.

racocn8 comments on Oct 13, 2019:
The doctrine of supporting Pro-Life politics bests all other moral issues. This is the height of irony!!! First, the Pro-Life view is completely fictitious and unsupported by the Bible. The Pro-Life view comes from the Catholics, who the Evangelicals hate almost as much as the Jews. And, the New Testament denounces political intrigue, while Trump demonstrates the lowest it can go.
Criticizing the doctrine of Islam does not mean the person doing so is a xenophobe,Islamophobe, or ...
racocn8 comments on Nov 5, 2019:
You are challenging the CLAIM that criticizing Islam is racist, or comparably immoral. I suspect that this claim is being marketed by Saudi Arabia and by similar Islamic entities. Religions do act on their own behalf. Distributing a false claim like this seeks to disarm opponents of the religion. Two examples of successful silencing of critics were the dis-inviting of Dawkins and Maher to lecture at Berkeley. Indeed, other atheist and scientific speakers have often received their sharpest criticism when they criticized Islam. The shouting down of critics of Islam has effective reduced the volume of outrage over Islam-inspired atrocities as they have occurred around the world. Indeed, certain Christian-inspired critics have used false testimony and innuendo of scandals to bring down atheists, as I believe is the case for both Lawrence Krauss and Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Fortunately, Tyson has been mostly unscathed so far. Christopher Hitchens recorded a number of YouTube videos discussing the demerits of Islam. Hitchens attacks are interesting, clear and unambiguous, and he often makes the distinction defining precisely why criticizing Islam isn't racist, but rather that Islam deserves all the criticism it gets.
Judge's Ruling Shows Religious Freedom Isn’t Just For The Christian Right
racocn8 comments on Nov 28, 2019:
I have long equated the evangelicals with the Germans that supported Nazism, but also chided myself for being as biased as they are. However, with their wholehearted and unwavering support of Trump and his scarcely disguised white nationalism, I feel vindicated. I recall seeing a video of an ICE officer picking up plastic jugs of water left in the desert and dumping them out. He had a smirking smile on his face that showed pride in his actions. He could just as easily be a concentration camp guard pouring Zyklon B into a gas chamber. That is where Christian Morality is today, and has been for centuries. We need to start fighting this culture war in earnest before they kill us all. These people are toxic psychopaths who need to be stopped (1st Amendment be damned). You can be sure that they have no real respect for the Constitution and happily endorse a president that disregards it.
